The veiw was the amazing
The resort was clean and comfortable. We were upgraded at the front desk because they overbooked! Our room was beautiful and had an awesome view of the falls. The staff was super friendly. Our room had a jacuzzi, and the jets were broken. AlsoC the walls were really thin and we could hear everything.... and I mean everything... that the people in the room next to us were doing.
Very good location Starbucks in hotel prices are expensive and drinks are not good. I ordered strawberry banana almost $10 (including tax) and taste so bad.
It had everything you need and want for a conference stay and for the family. Cost. Why is WiFi an extra charge? Why are we charged a tourism tax when we are there for a conference? Otherwise great location, services and amenities.
Quick late night check-in (with I believe his name was Colin). I hope I got it right. He made my anniversary getaway great with good advice, directions and delightful conversation. Also want to thank Tom for his help at valet. Running late for lunch, he kept my car up front and ready so that I could grab a few things from the room and rush back out. Breakfast was a bit pricey and didn't have any meat options for those who do not eat pork.
Close to Clifton Hill. Parking being so far away and 30.00, resort fee. An additional 50.00 after already paying 100.00+ for the room
My room had a awesome view of the falls. Front desk was great. Hotel Valet was quick and worth it. The shower was small even though it had a jacuzzi tub init.. And watch for extra fees in the bill at checkout.
Like the location, the room and convenience of being connected to casino. Didn't like that we had to park in parking garage of casino. It was quite a hike with bags.
Staff were friendly and our room had a great view
Hotel staff was friendly, great view of the falls and the windows restaurant was the best! Heated pool was freezing
Very clean. Great location. Comfortable beds. Victor on check-in was great!
There were stains on the pillow. Washroom looked very old. pillows seemed very low quality.
location and the room was nice after we asked top have it cleaned We had problems with the cleanliness of the room but it was rectified after we brought it to their attention.
Close enough to walk to all of the Niagara Falls attractions, but far enough off the main tourist spots to be quiet. You MUST eat at at the in-house restaurant, AG Inspired Cuisine -- it is DELICIOUS.
The room was very nice. Beautiful furniture. Did not like the location. Thought we would be closer to Niagara Falls. The hotel was in the middle of nowhere. The room was nice, but the floor was not clean enough -- it was sticky in some areas.
Location is in a great spot, lounge is nice good staff, rooms are really nice and spacious. Bed was a little on the hard side, no seat in the steam shower.
Fireplace, jacuzzi & breakfast in bed Luxury room in a good location
The room was very nice. I liked the fireplace and the jetted tub. The continental breakfast is a nice touch. The food at the restaurant was excellent. It was not easy to find in the part of town where it is located. It is on a corner so signs on both streets would help. Provide a larger table in the rooms for the continental breakfast, or in case people are interested in room service. Although the food at the restaurant was excellent, the menu choices are too limited. It is also very pricey for ala carte fare.
Loved the atmosphere no pool
The standard king room exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the king size bed! My husband and had a great time at the Sterling Inn & Spa.
Our room was very nice with a jacuzzi tub which was a pleasant surprise. Our view was nothing to enjoy. The staff was not very helpful with directions to the local attractions.
Room was clean Every time I go they give me excuse that they have water problem even after I reserved a room online then they shift me to a lower class room for same price which is not fair it's a ripoff
Loved the location, the room was great, the service was great, and the hotel did stay very quiet and there were 3 sports teams while we were there. The wait time for the elevator was 15 minutes at peak time. And I would suggest going out for breakfast.
It was clean, comfortable, good location. We had no issues whatever. It was not fancy, but e erything was functionable. No issues whatever.
Great location close to Falls and everything !! Will stay there our next trip
Rooms were big Great view of the city Walking distance to Niagara falls King size room had a pool out coach
Location and cleanliness Parking was added on at the end of stay. We would have appreciated notification of parking fee prior to stay since parking lot adjacent to hotel was $5/night.
We watched the nightly 10 pm fireworks right from our room window. We walked to all the Clifton Hill attractions. The indoor pool & hot tub were great for the kids. Liked everything
Crowded, one of the rooms had a view of a concrete wall and nothing else.
Very nice room, clean and great location. Not enough towels for two people... Refrigerator didn't work.. A/C is poor.. Hardly cooled the room. Staff not so welcoming nor friendly at desk.
Location and cleanliness. Expensive breakfast and parking
The hotel is conveniently close to all the attractions, yet it doesn't feel loud or crowded. We really took advantage of the indoor and outdoor pool, the spa, and the sauna. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. We had a great view of the park and the city landmarks. I've stayed in Niagara before and this was the better experience by far.
I liked the location. Right on the hill i the middle of it all. Didn't have to walk far for anything I wanted to do.
The cleanliness of the room was exceptional. The cleaning staff was very helpful. The construction outside my bedroom window. Outside doors could use a paint job.
center of action
My husband and I really enjoyed the King size bed, very comfy. We really enjoyed the wonderful job that our cleaning staff (Connie) did with our room every day. I enjoyed the pool, but wished it was open longer. Before we got checked in I fell and sprinded my ankle due to a step that is very short, half the size of the next step when I walked in. Not one staff member came to help me up and I am still icing it due to swelling. I also had a lot of difficulty avoiding ciggarette smoke, at one time a young man was smoking right outside our hotel room. This makes me very sick due to being alergic to smoke!
Proximity to the downtown area. The noise from adjacent rooms and the street was unbelievable. Out of 235-days per year I spend in hotels around the world, this was by far the noisest hotel I have ever stayed at.
Everything was just easy and great, as advertised and included in room price: parking, (continental) breakfast, tea/coffee in the room, wireless internet. Excellent and professional service.
Everything was great. The location, the food, the walk to the falls was only about a mile and was not a bad mile! The only thing we didn't like was the bed. It was not very comfortable but it was ok for the 1 night.
Convenient location and good amenities incl. free wifi.
Location and comfort. Maid was great. room is clean. no complaints
Very comfortable bed. Enjoyed the location as very close to amenities and The Falls. Very loud air conditioner drowned out noise of nearby activities. Breakfast included. Smelled like cigarette smoke in our nonsmoking room. The toilet kept filling with water after flushing and we had to adjust and fix it on multiple occasions. Staff did not seem knowledgeable.
easy to find. direct in center. enough parking place
Really near attractions and the falls. Good price. Event if it was crowdy in the streets, it was calm in the room. Parking is free and you don't need a car anyway at this place. We done the Skylon by foot. Didn't took CAA discount. That's about it.
I booked room in Nov. 2014. The hotel was close to many attractions in Niagara Falls, and at a reasonable walking distance from the Falls. It is clean, modern, offers a decent breakfast and the room we had was very good. The beds were quite comfortable. Its indoor facilities include a pool, Jaccuzzi and sauna. One of its main advantage is the free parking, which in NF is a big deal! Overall, definitely a recommendable hotel. On week-ends, expect families with kids that will monopolize the pool and Jacuzzi at certain times. Can't think of anything!
It was to light at night, all the lights were on outside the windows which made it hard to sleep
Huge room, great location Very loud air conditioner, no refrigerator in room, poor quality hot breakfast items
Not bad but too expensive for the services
I liked the second bedroom No
The staff was awesome, the location was the best in town and free parking Pool opens at 10 am, too late, and closes at 10 pm way too early
Overall very good, location, Very good breakfast & clean. The TV was not working. It had been unplugged. I had to move the large dresser to find out that it was unplugged & then plug it back in.
My bf and I stayed here for only one night in a whirlpool room. The room also had a fireplace which was nice and worked great. The entire room was VERY clean it was a great stay. Upon our arrival we were at the ice machine and saw a cleaning lady delivering a fridge to another room, since we were filling up on a tonne of ice she asked if we would like one in our room, she found a fridge and delivered it to our room immediatly! The pool is in a weird location but that didnt bother us and we didnt use it anyway. Hotel is right beside Nightmares and accross the street from Nigara Casino and a waterpark. We would definatly go back to this hotel!
Clean, great staff, nice lobby. No exercise room
It was right in the heart of downtown and was so easy to go everywhere on foot. No added expense for taxi's or parking. The only critique I could give is that the pool was not open as late as I would have liked. It closed at 10 p.m.
the location - it was central and near to the Niagara Falls but nevertheless our room was quiet and peaceful.Unual swimming pool set-up in the receptiion area. Our rooms did not have a window opening to the outside - only onto the corridor outside the room - hence it felt somewhat claustrophobic. The breakfast area was very crowded and a bit chaotic.
Overall, the room seemed mostly clean, but very dated. The bed was huge and very clean. Amenities were minimal, but the staff was friendly and very helpful to this first time traveler to Niagara Falls. There was a convention of cheerleaders the weekend I was there and they kindly put me in a honeymoon suite away frim the noise. The location can't be beat. It's right across the street from the Clifton Hill entertainment district and about a 10 minute walk to the Falls. Lots of places to eat, even if you are like me with lots of dietary restrictions. The in house free breakfast is standard hotel issue, but nice to have on busy days. Some of the towels were slightly dirty and there was mold on the shower curtain. The swimming pool and the whirlpool are inside the front entrance (same place as the breakfast and check-in), so it's very hot and humid in that space. It also smells of chlorine everywhere in the hotel. For this reason, I think, the air conditioner was on the whole time (even though I had turned the room unit to heat, because it was snowing outside)! The room never smelled of chlorine though. The TV reception was also spotty at best, but ultimately not an issue, as I was out most of the time. The elevators are a little slow, but very cool, one being glass and facing the inside of the lobby.
Friendly service and excellent breakfasts The temporary detraction of the exterior due to the on-going renovation/construction.
Great B&B! Enjoyed our stay, close (10minute) walk to main strip in Niagara Falls and a great bike ride to Niagara on the Lake. Staff was helpful and breakfast was good. Would stay here again!
The house was beautiful. I found the staff to be very helpful an friendly an, the location was excellent. The room was very modern for a 1891 building an the colors a little over the top.
It's proximity to the Falls and complimentary breakfast. I was not aware that it was under construction. We also had issues with the door to our room. It took a considerable amount of effort to open and close it. The innkeeper had to come help us get into the room.
Good pool, hut tub and sanua Wifi wasn't that good ... At least not up on the 4th floor
I liked the presentation of the room it self. And it was close to everything. The front desk staff(girl) could learn how to smile.
the location The Jacuzzi tub, the TV didn't work properly (they were advised but did nothing)
Excellent price, clean, friendly staff. Only complaint - turn up the heat in the hot tub Hot tub too cold
it was close enough to clifton hill, and the falls that you didn't have to drive drunken teenagers on our floor
Their elevator works faster & their media in their tv was good. Thiers no menu for food if incase I want to order hotel food. I wish they have 24 hr hotel restaurant.
Location It was wicked humid out and the air conditioning was busted in our room, we were given a very small discount
Room was very comfortable and spacious. Liked the retro decor. Hugely inflated pricing for a weekend stay. Bath towels too small and too few. Spa was too busy to enjoy and facilities (shower area) lacking.
Very relaxing vacation. Refrigerators should be complimentary.
leaving it ! The room was dirty and the quality of the sheets were cheap, it was smelly althought we brought it to the attention of the staff, it made no difference.
Centrally located, convenient walking distance to falls and all attractions
The location was great for walking to the falls and we saved a tremendous amount on parking. Plus the queen bedroom was pretty nice, though the bed was extremely firm. The queen room had a balcony though which was great at night (it was shared with the other room but we were by ourselves every night). The host was late and inattentive. We were locked out for twenty minutes because she left when we were scheduled to check in. Every time we saw her she seemed almost confused by us wanting to speak to her. Or maybe even annoyed. Breakfast was an egg and a half plus some toast. We spoke to a family at the table who said they had eaten the same thing three days in a row. Our host was just not someone you'd want taking care of you for the weekend. I say "host" because she never actually introduced herself the three days we were there. The original room we paid for promised a king bed, when in reality it was two twin beds pushed together. She told us no one had ever complained before. Luckily the queen room happened to be available so we switched.
Shower was gross, it had someone else's long black hairs all over it. Toilet hardly flushed.
The room was a close walk to the falls our room could see the falls and fireworks It was close to anything you might need They gave us Bus Passes to visit other great sites the dinner in the restaurant was Excellent. The Gnochi dish was off the charts good. it is connected to anything you need, food, Gambling, water parks, parking etc. The room was very small There wasn't enough room between the wall and bed to stand and get in bed, you had to enter from the bottom. Mold in the Bathroom and Bathroom was outdated. It was functionally difficult to use. The drain in the sink was busted and the shelf covered 1/2 the sink so brushing your teeth was difficult. . A room with 2 queens should accommodate the people and luggage associated, and it was very tight -The staff try to upsell everything. If your hotel includes breakfast for 2, the try to upsell you on the delux package. It's not service for service sake or to be a great hotel, but just another way to extract more money from you. -Dinner and breakfast was expensive and includes a "tourist tax" -We stayed in 6 hotels as we toured through Canada and although the view of the falls as great, it was our least favorite hotel of our trip.
Location Over priced. I payed more then most other guests. The rate I got was terrible. There was a hidden 30 dollar parking fee. The rooms were small and dirty. The tv's were small.
Room was upgraded and clean. Room was smaller than we expected, for the price we paid.
Nice old hotel Great restaurant. Room smelled like smoke, very high price for a low quality room looking into a gravel roof. Yes I could see the falls behind the exhaust fan. Overpriced felt ripped off.
The view from restaurant Breakfast was very poor quality for the money you pay We paid extra to stay three adults in our room. But coffee for two and toiletries for one. We ordered room with falls view but looked out at the Rainbow bridge. Only standing at the window and looking to the right could we see the falls. The guy at P garage took forever to find proof that we had payed for parking although frontdesk had told us that their camera would read our license plate.
Great location! Carpet throughout hotel is getting old.
They were very accommodating and helpful. The rooms had a nice view of the falls. The restaurant is very good on the 10th floor. Make sure you understand what all is included with your bill. Make sure that there is no hidden fees. No mini fridge Parking is $25 American a night.
Location was amazing. Close to everything. Clean. Nice room. Great view. The breakfasts was not very good.
Nothing No mechanical staff to solve the problem and in the morning the just say sorry and detected 134$ only. We did not sleep the hale night. The A/C was not working
Closeness to falls, and the View was awesome. Building is older, has a wealth of history but this could be a bad/good thing depending on opinion.
Staff was very nice. King size room was way too small.
Beds were really comfortable. The staff were helpful. Loved the kids pool adjacent to the swimming pool. Good water pressure in the room shower. Location was great! Far enough from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk or catch the WeGo bus. Dated! But clean. Torn carpet, old fixtures. Wifi was terrible unless you were in the lobby. Breakfast was a little expensive.
Location was close to the border for quick access back to NY. Bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very outdated. Blue tile and a bit unwelcoming. Old shower and in need of updating. You get what you pay for! Inexpensive stay, not bad for one night.
The sliding glass door opened. False advertising. No restaurant or bar - advertised but was told it was seasonal Front desk staff rude Wifi - only available in hallway by the elevators and lobby Spoke to staff and was told hotel was full they didnt guarantee wifi. Would have stayed elsewhere if this was the case. No air conditioning. This was huge!!! Thought ac was broken and was told that weather was getting colder and the hotel had turned off the ac and turned on all of the heaters. It was 68 degrees. I have travelled all over and stayed in 2 star to 5 star hotels. Never have I been told that I could no longer use my ac. Not sure if this is an issue with kayak or Travel lodge but this is clearly false advertising. Also, when the heater/fan did come on it spit water out onto the floor and bed.
The hotel is across the street from the river. You can see the falls within 1 min of walk and be at the tip of horseshoe falls in 15 min of walk with the falls view. Very good location and you don't have to drive. And the good thing is that if u wanna drive to all the other attractions like the butterfly garden or Niagara by the lake, you will be driving against the traffic. The rooms/halls are clean and good size. Great deal I think! I will go back again! At nights there is a 1 min walk in the empty street which may be scary but u will be there before u know it! The bathroom is a bit small and 2 people would be a bit uncomfortable to use the sink but not bad.
Clean room, very nice staff and close to everything. Pool was clean and relaxing after a hot day at the falls. Hotel is far enough from the crowds but easy walk to falls and US side and Clifton Hill. The parking at $15 for guests and non guests are the same, somewhat ridiculous. The breakfast buffet is $10 and no free coffee at the hotel lobby. Very high prices after spending money to stay there.
Location was great. Didn't spend much time in the room. But it is great as a base camp for exploring the area! Needs updated lighting, it looks like the maintenance budget is just enough to keep it up to code, not to actually fix problems. The shower in our room had a bad fixture and wasn't properly repaired, rooms smell funny, lawn chairs on balconies.
Fairly close to the falls. There was an indoor pool. Rooms are in need of essential repairs. Our shower and bath tub was backed up, had leaky faucets for the sink. Rusted bath tub that suggested there might be a bigger moisture issue in the bathroom. The wall paper was clearly paling off the walls around the entire room. The double beds were the most lumpy and uncomfortable things we've had to sleep on.
My 11 year old daughter is not shy when it comes to asking for help. She befriended one of the housekeepers, Darlene, early on in our stay. Darlene was so kind to my daughter even making sure to tell me what a ray of sunshine she was.
Staff was very friendly, rooms were huge, beds were comfortable, fantastic location. Amazing value for money! Rooms are a bit dared but super clean. Musty smell in hall but not in room. Have to pay to park.
I liked the location and was amazingly surprise if the facilities offered as well as the room lay out. Parking was right there and even though we were 5 mins walking distance from the falls and all the entertainment we were away from the noise. N/A
friendly staff and comfortable room
The buffet breakfast for $10 per adult. Walking distance to the falls and Clifton Hill We were placed on the first floor which felt like a basement. The rooms were outdated, musty and damp. The carpet was loose and needs to be cleaned. The cleaning staff cleaned half of the room, my son made the 2nd bed and they left towels on the floor. The adjoining room, which was family, had their room door left open. The amount paid per room, I was hoping for something a little nicer. I felt that because we booked with an outside agency, we were stuck in the basement instead of the main building which was nicer. There was signs stating there was vacancy, so I'm sure we didn't have to be put where we were.
