Cons: The fireplaces on all the time and the heat in the room - window was broken in the room. Staff turned off heat one night but it was in again another night.

The spa was also very nice. I most recently stayed at the Fairmont, which is also very nice, but I actually preferred the Huntington and it was quite a bit less money.

Cons: Location. It is located up on the very steep hill which you may not notice when you use Google maps. For travelers who solely rely on public transportation should be prepared to climb the hill or plan ahead for ground transportation.

Cons: Wasn't nuts about the restaurant - The Big Four. Very dark. Not a very friendly vibe. (In fairness, we just stopped at the. Ar as we were getting ready to leave). My wife and I ordered Sunday morning mimosas. $32. Just a bit of a downer given that the rest of the experience was so positive

Cons: We both felt that the $15/day charge for internet was excessive and off-putting. Unfortunately, the service we were getting with verizon was almost unusable, but we weren't willing to pay that kind of fee for wifi, which is free just about everywhere.

Pros: The room was very quaint and not super big, BUT was just what we needed! The bathroom was super super clean which is silly, but most places you go it's always just "okay". LOVED the hand painted ceilings and the feel of the place. Felt like we were in a different world:) Definitely a French feel to the place. We did not get a chance to eat breakfast there but want to next time. The location is only a few blocka form China Town, Union Square and The Masonic! I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a cute little room close to everything at a great price!

Pros: We loved the location, it Was walking distance from Chinatown, the mall, Museum of Ice Cream and so many great places to eat. The staff was so friendly and helpful with everything. The hotel is beautiful, very old designed just like you would imagine a French hotel in 1910 should be. It’s perfect. The bed was comfortable, the restaurant was incredible, the food was delicious. I’m honestly amazed at how wonderful our stay was.

Pros: We loved everything about our stay we actually stayed at the White sands Inn and the location is excellent we've already made a lot of friends in this neighborhood we was able to have excellent parking in front of the hotel for our entire visit and we will be back at this location and hopefully it will be under better circumstances so we can really get the full fill of the White sands in along with the city of San Francisco but we had an exceptional experience!! Of The Deco in the room and the hotel and the elevator was very nice and this building is very well kept

The rooms are functionally furnished and very clean. The rooms are well sound-isolated and far enough from the street. The service and friendliness of the staff was very good. The cost-performance ratio was outstanding. At conference times 100 € a night is a great bargain for San Francisco standards. I felt very well and will certainly come back again.

Cons: Room was not fully clean. There were pieces of plaster on the carpet. The bed angled up the wrong way - the foot of the bed was higher than the head of the bed, for some reason. There was no A/C in the room, and heat was controlled by a seemingly uncontrollable radiator. The breakfast hour was a joke. There were a couple of stale pastries and black coffee. All other coffee was a 50 to 75 cent upcharge that required you to put change into a coffee maker that had somehow been modified to accept money. When checking out, I asked for a receipt to make sure I didn't get charged any incidentals. The lady at the front desk refused to give me a receipt, and told me to call or email Expedia to obtain it, since I had booked through them. Overall, not a great experience.

Pros: The Van Ness Inn was my original place booked, but with the Covin-19 issue they must have been having problems as they told they were closed when I arrived. So I made another booking which by price led me to Nob Hill Motor Inn. After getting checked in I thought wow! This place is really nice. A coffee maker and a microwave didn't expect, nor two sinks. One by the coffee pot with a small round table for eating at with television in view. Tile shower with good working shower message, and fairly good size bathroom. The queen beds were REALLY comfortable and best of all, parking provided off the streets, and in San Francisco that can be a real plus. Overall, good location, close to restaurants and ended up being glad the other place turned me away.

Cons: Customer service was poor. We had to wait approximately 20 minutes before the clerk appeared and we could register for the room. Staff was unable to answer simple questions or give directions to local sites such as Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown etc.

Pros: It's location was ok. Pretty much in the middle of all the sites. It got the job done as a place to lay at night. I felt safe enough with the metal gate and a security guard at night. I rented a car and street parking, while free at night, was kinda hard. but very doable. 3 straight nights i found free meter (9pm-9am) parking within 3 blocks of the hotel. While there was a lot of bums, they seem harmless enough, but there was a lot. Hotel staff wasn't answering the door when we first arrived but eventually got in after several calls and ringing the bell over ad over. I'd defiantly stay at better place in a better area if i ever go back to SF, but for the price it was good.
