The booking I made 2 months in advance got changed the week before with another flight and had to pay more for seats and luggage. Not to mention hours and hours on hold to make sure my flight is still booked.
The flight and service were very good. Thanks to the crew.
It was my first experience in business class. It was everything I expected and more. Service was impeccable, food was delicious and I felt rested once I arrived to London
A major problem at the Frankfurt terminal. You see your connecting flight is on concourse A and you see signs for A, but when you start to walk out to A, only then do you find A is in another terminal which requires a bus ride, passport control and customs. If you sit around in the first terminal too long, you can miss your flight. We made ours.
Connection time and departure time were both changed to cause undue stree on older people who cant run through an airport
The flight crew did a good job, the main problem I had was in the layout of the pod itself. I know it does not matter but the connection for the head phones was not A- easy to find, B- very difficult to do based on the placement ( behind the right shoulder, very hard to reach, the type of plug on the frame vs the actual plug of the headphones), C due to the location and the way it connected, it did not allow me to use my own headphones, D- very low quality and very uncomfortable headphones, E- Surprisingly, very old selections of movies, for me, at least. I will still fly with Lufthansa as you deliver a very good product overall and I enjoy the quality of service, the ease and the prices. Thank you.
It was a very full flight, makes it harder for flight crew.
Both my flight to Germany and my flight from Germany to the USA were delayed which caused me to miss my connection and additional stress. I had to stay overnight in Chicago, compensated by the airline. All very frustrating. We sat in the runway in Germany for over an hour? Which was never explained and caused the additional day of travel.
The plane boarded 5 hours late. This made for a very long travel experience - 3.5 hours for getting to/taking the connecting flight (Air Dolomiti), 5.5 hours layover in Munich, 11.5 hour flight to Houston, 1 hour ride home. After landing at BUSH airport we spent 30 minutes on the tarmac waiting for United staff to prepare the jetway. Flight attendant admonished my wife for briefly opening the window shade midflight to take a look outside.
It wasn't clear that there will be additional charge for checked in baggage. Very, very disappointed making me pay extra $75. Food was not tasty and not healthy. Lufthansa used to be good, not any more. Unfortunately has gone down big time and continues to go down.
