With Glasgow and Edinburgh being busier, the other airports may be quieter and offer fewer flights and services.

Top tips for finding a cheap flight from Brisbane to Scotland

  • There are several destinations in Scotland you can fly to from Brisbane, though none are direct. Depending on the airlines you book with, Edinburgh is often a slightly cheaper destination than Glasgow, the other main airport in Scotland.
  • A great advantage of flying to Scotland is that the country is quite small and transport is quite convenient, which means that you can fly to any of the major airports and be able to travel around the country with minimal difficulty. This gives you greater flexibility in choosing which airport to fly to.
  • Although Glasgow is Scotland's larger airport, Edinburgh is generally busier and serves a larger volume of flights. The smaller size of Edinburgh Airport (EDI) is compensated for by its efficiency; it is very easy to navigate and easy to access, making it a good option when travelling from Brisbane.
  • Both Edinburgh and Glasgow Airport (GLA) are well connected to public transport lines, and it is very easy to use buses and trains to get to locations in the city and beyond. Edinburgh also has an excellent tram line connecting the airport directly to major sites in the city centre. Either airport is a convenient destination for travellers from Brisbane.
  • Although it serves fewer airlines, if you wish to explore the Highlands, Inverness (INV) is a great airport to fly into. Especially if you are flying from Brisbane via the Netherlands or France, this can be a good option.

Boarding from DOH to SYD the Business Class were pointed in a separate gate but no one there to receive us. Otherwise it was ok.

My flight was delayed. I was rebooked twice and even the second flight that was additional connection in London was delayed too, so I ended up spending more than 24 hours flying between four different countries and to be honest I’m not sure whether I ever want to use this airline again. My luggage is still delete. It’s been more than 48 hours now so to be honest, I’m not even sure how to describe the level of frustration I have.

The flight overall was good. The attendants did a good job except that 1 female had too much fragrance on. The other things that made the flight unpleasant were out of the airlines control.

The check-in and crew staff were wonderful. The food was reasonable. The online side Qatar was very poor. Seats were very tight and not very comfortable for a 14 hour flight!

Economy travel is really hard with no room to move especially when the person sitting beside you is an XL or XXL size person who if moving could hit your face

Awful plane to Tashkent. Not even possible to sleep. In business class does not even recline fully

Worse fight I ever take since I start flying , still have even made home , and crew abandon us half way home . No water no food and no even anyone to answer our questions

The staff was the best I have experienced as a frequent traveller in a long time.

I was unable to pre purchase sear upgrades or internet. Their online site is not user friendly and poor. I felt singled out in customs. Seats are very small even for a small person.

They didn't board by zones and it was a free for all. The 16 hour flight was the most excruciating experience of my life and the seats were TINY... with no leg space and my feet were swollen immediately. The food was so bad it was inedible.
