Pros: "Great experience at Tenerife airport. Fast, efficient check in and through security with ease. Boarding was ok and on time."
Cons: "Plane seats are very uncomfortable. I thought it was just me on the way out but it was as bad on the return and even my husband was complaining of being uncomfortable. The seats made this journey seem much longer than our 9 hour flight to Florida earlier in the year and the backs of my legs still haven’t recovered from yesterday’s flight. I am 5ft 1in and the seats are too high off the floor and too deep for my legs to be comfortable and not have too much pressure in the wrong place. They need foot rests to allow legs to be raised and pressure eased."
Cons: "This is the terrible airlines that we have ever experienced. It’s not organized at all. After booking the ticket, I didn’t say we have to check in 2 hours prior to not to get charged at the airport. When we stand at the encounter, everyone in line didn’t know this and had to turn around to get in the different line to pay for checking in. After that, we had to get back in a long line and the lady didn’t mentioned that she can check in our luggage’s. With that being said, we had to go back to other encounter to pay for checked in luggage. We paid almost $200 for checking in and luggage. How stupid is that? We and other customers in line all said we felt it’s the rip off. We come to Ireland for vacation and expected it would be welcome and nice. This turned us off. Never fly with this airlines again. Thumbs down!!!"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Flight had group of youngsters who should not have been allowed on flight. They displayed rowdy behaviour and swore and gestures throughout flight. Staff did very little to try and stop them until other passengers started to complain."
Pros: "Inconvenient all, no aplogise of delayed Flight as like the turtle!"
Cons: "To prepare on time!! Plz Eeven though I’ve booked more planty of time for next plan, it was late because of too much delayed"
Pros: "For the price, you just can't beat Ryanair. The only thing that spoilt the flight were 3 drunk passengers opposite and behind who were noisy and kept annoying other passengers, however the cabin crew handled the problem very well."
Cons: "RYanair always delayed (1h30 delay inbound, 2h delay outbound), that company is a disgrace"
Pros: "Priority boarding."
Cons: "Crammed airport shuttle buses and a delayed flight home."
Pros: "We got there."
Cons: "Service was not great. The baggage allowance was lower than other airlines, forcing us to repack before we checked our bags. Checking in online was mandatory-something that wasn’t very noticeable in the email when we had a million other trip details to attend to so we didn’t and ended up having to pay a fee to check in. Ridiculous. My wife and I were not seated together even though I booked both tickets together. The inexpensive upfront price of the flight is not worth it since they will trick you into paying in other ways."
Cons: "Was told at boarding gate for a visa check stamp requirement. Admittedly it was mentioned in a casual way in the boarding pass, but wasn't a border control requirement. The airline could have done it there. But was denied boarding, waited for 6 hours to catch next flight and further connections."
Pros: "El avión está nuevo y la tripulación está bien"
Cons: "No hicimos check in por internet y en el aeropuerto nos hicieron pagar 55 libras esterlinas por persona para hacer check in"
Cons: "Sat on the plane for 1:30 due to delays and missing our departure slot then to be informed that there was no water ,drinks or any food on the plane due to “supply issues”. Then the conveyor system to broke down at East Midlands and all the cases had to be moved into the collection area by had by 2 security staff All in all 3 hours later for the booked taxi and didn’t arrive home till 4am ! Never had such a bad experience with Ryanair and East Midlands airport"
Cons: "1 hour flight delay 1 hour delay disembarking due to non-availability of ground staff Another appalling travel experience with Ryanair - they should not be allowed to operate an airline"
Cons: "No customer service, hidden fees, rude staff, small plane"
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "Nearly 3 hours late and no proper explanation for delay. Sorry but delayed incoming aircraft doesn't wash. Also had to wait nearly half an hour upon landing at Stansted before we could disembark"
Cons: "Having to pay to use the toilet on board"
Pros: "Good flight times and on-time flight arrivals. Helpful crew and plenty of crew passes with drinks & food."
Cons: "Nothing to criticise."
Pros: "Value for money"
Cons: "Delay was make rest of trip worse cos my other communication away without me. And I have to find alternative way"
Pros: "Boarding was quick and the crew efficient, a shortish 2hr flight comfort was perfectly adequate"
Cons: "The breakfast burrito was tasteless, i would have rather have done without."
Pros: "She was the most miserable and unfriendly person I have ever met! Why has she chosen a customer facing role?????"
Cons: "Air stewards, all very chatty amongst themselves but no time for their customers!!"
Pros: "Getting off the plane at the other end, eventually."
Cons: "The massive delay, the move of gates to the other end of the airport only to get onto a bus and then wait 15-20 minutes to get off the bus and onto the plane. Even an offer of free coffee on board would've been nice but nope, just a few apologies over the PA."
Pros: "Crew jokes eased the tension after the flight was delayed"
Cons: "Flight delayes"
Pros: "If you pay for priority boarding you do expect to get first on the airplane But you go with everyone on the bus and since you got first you are among the last to board ...what the point to pay than?"
Cons: "On both flights we were called tbrough for boarding only to be kept queueing for over half an hour before actually boarding the plane. On the flight to East Midlands when everyone was on board we were then told due to an air traffic restriction we had to wait another 45 minutes before we could take off. On the return flight after queueing for half an hour only after I asked why we had waited so long were we told that the plane HADN't EVEN LANDED YET. So both flights were delayed with no explanation from anyone. Also all announcements on both flights were very difficult to hear above the engine noise. I am afraid that this experience has made me realise that I will NEVERTHELESS fly with Ryanair again. I would rather pay the extra and fly with a better airline."
Pros: "Cabin crew handled the gypsies well, flight arrived home ahead of schedule. Plenty of choice of food and drinks although expensive it was nice."
Cons: "We managed to choose a flight and sit next to a party of 17 gypsies. It was non stop. The kids couldn't stay still, always shouting or just screaming, running up the aisle. Banging seat tables and armrests up and down. At one point a young boy maybe 3 yrs old was stood on the table with his hands on his own seat back bouncing on the table. I have never wished for turbulance and the seatbelt signs to be on, But I did on this flight! The adults looked drunk while bording and one even asked me if I'd been to Tenerife while we were in Tenerife airport!"
Pros: "It made it there"
Cons: "It was a half an hour late. My fourth Ryanair flight that was at least a half hour late. I thought they were known for arriving on time."
Cons: "Awful service from Ryanair , first time using them and definitely last time. Told to put my bag in storage underneath but I was travelling with only one bag and was in a rush. Such an inconvenience."
Pros: "I like how inexpensive the flight was. This would make up for the other things had we not been seriously taken advantage when it came to our luggage!"
Cons: "We checked in online the night before our flight but didn't get a confirmation. We didn't think anything of it until we got to airport to find that we didn't show checked in, had to pay EXTRA to have our boarding passes printed off, and had to pay for EACH of our bags as well!! OH! And it's almost DOUBLE if you pay for it at the airport where you can weigh it then if you do it online! And take caution! Our bags that are considered carry on size are still too big for this airline do you will forced to check Them! This is obviously how they offset their inexpensive tickets! The cost of the ticket, once you add in all the other unexpected expenses in order to actually get on the flight, was NOT worth the "cheap" tickets we got! That's the only reason we decided to fly to Ireland while on our trip to the U.K. Had we known it would cost this much we never would have come to Ireland for two days!!"
Pros: "Flight arrived on time"
Cons: "Limited food on board and ran out of most stock at the beginning of the flight Wasn't able to sit with my family yet again Lack of leg space My table was broken and wasn't in use"
Pros: "I arrived safely without a scratch. The entire crew were very nice. Things were clean. There were no screens for the addicted. I got some sleep before the announcements and sales kicked in on the short flight."
Cons: "Gate was changed after initial assignment. I wouldn't have known if I hadn't sat almost in front of the counter and overheard a customer there saying my flight. I asked someone even closer to the counter if that's the gate, and was told no. There aren't even display boards at the counter so you really have to check. The right gate ended up on the opposite end of the airport, so I wasted a trip and a half, in a way. The previous flight was late, so we boarded half an hour late. We were warned to wait another half an hour on the tarmac but luckily got out in less than half that time. There was no liquid soap in the toilet. I unscrewed the bottle (they really save money and the environment there), put in hot water, and was able to get the soap I needed."
Pros: "The crew were friendly, plane was clean"
Cons: "The flight was delayed as the flight before hadn't landed, which happens. But when we arrived at Stanstead we waited a long time to get off of the plane, and the bags from the hold were not released for another hour and a half after landing, with no recogition of this or apology for the wait."
Pros: "Staff polite and helpful. Swift check in."
Cons: "Difficult to identify priority boarding. Queues merged into one."
Cons: "Late no communication stuck in a queue at airport and no one said a word for over an hour! Will never use again"
Pros: "Cheap and cheerful.....but that's fine"
Cons: "Delayed flight and quite turbulent but can't be helped"
Pros: "Arrived on time after leaving late"
Cons: "I was too tall to be sitting beside two very big people"
Pros: "Flight and crew and service were good once we got to the gate and on the plane."
Cons: "We were required to have a printed boarding pass, and since we were traveling it was difficult to get prior to getting to the airport. Once we got to the airport, we were bandied about from one desk to another, then told we would have to go spend money at a computer/printer station, or else pay 15 pounds."
Pros: "Short flight"
Cons: "Did not receive an email from Ryan air. Arrived at Edinburgh airport and was told that since I did not check in and it was within 2 hours of the flight, I would have to pay 50 Euro per passenger to check in. There were 3 of us. I had previously paid for checked bags and to reserve seats. Sneaky way for an airline to sucker people out of money. Have flown Ryan air before. Will never again. Unfortunate. Staff was welcoming and flight was comfortable. Not a reflection of employees. 100% reflection of upper management."
Cons: "Printing my boarding pass at home to make sure I didn't have to pay a 50 euro fee. It's hard enough to do it right before you leave, but we couldn't print anything for the flight back to Brussels."
Pros: "The plane made it to Las Palmas"
Cons: "8 drunk women shouted and disrupted other's quiet"
Pros: "The plan was clean and seats comfortable with enough leg room for all but the longest legs. Hot drinks, as in all flights way to expensive. Flight crew very nice and helpful. Over all we were very pleased and we fly quite a lot."
Pros: "The flight was good and on time. Crew were kind and professional."
Cons: "Extortionate prices for water!! Water of all things should be complimentary on flights in my opinion! Air-conditioning on flights can make you dry and when you have to pay for it at this price it makes it hard to fathom how they get away with this kind of pricing!!"
Cons: "four hour delay--missed my appointment"
Pros: "nothing really"
Cons: "Paid for priority boarding then had to wait at the bottom of a stairwell for 15 minutes with the rest of the passengers coming down the stairs and off the lift to get in front so that was a complete waste of money. Then the plane had not been topped up with water so no hot drinks or flushing toilet, good job it was a shortish flight, then passengers could only get offf the plane by the rear exit as there was a problem with the front one, what a shambles, I will think twice about flying with Ryanair again"
Cons: "The one thing you would expect is to be able to purchase a tea or coffee on a short haul flight. Not with Ryanair. Then had to wait 10 mins to be assisted into the parking slot, with a further wait for the bus ( we arrived at rush hour, midnight, really). Not a good experience."
Pros: "It was on time and everything ran smoothly so in my opinion, the flight was fine"
Pros: "This Ryan air trip was a bit more relaxed, smooth and fast. I paid Ymir the extra suitcase check in and geared that Ryan air and extremely particular in weight. My 20 kg bag came a little over but it was fine, nothing said. It was smooth and no issues. I would book Ryan air again"
Pros: "I liked the fact that my initial ticket was a good value. I liked arriving safely and on time. A Ryanair attendant took me under her wing and made sure I made my flight, without her, I would not have made it. I am thankful for her."
Cons: "Ryanair is not for the uninitiated. Nor for those who don't read the fine print. My baggage fees were not included, nor were the extra heavy baggage fees. My flight change fees were also as much money as my initial ticket. I almost missed my flight because of the extra time required to add in and pay for all of these fees. All told, at the end of the experience, I ended up spending 400% of the cost of my initial ticket. Be wary, be informed, read the fine print, and then be prepared for shamelessly overt marketing, uncaring bored male flight attendants, and a shabby dirty plane covered in cheap vinyl and bill boards. Next time I will pay any price to avoid this experience."
