Poor food choice. They even ran out of fish in business class. Old dated planes, IFE and seating.
I was traveling with a young child and the flight attendants were rude and unhelpful when simple requests were made like an early cracker or cookie to help distract him while everyone else was boarding. Also, my wife received dirty looks from an attendant when she asked if she could get by while holding our crying infant. They made us feel like a burden instead of a paying customer. The food was really sub par, especially the breakfast sandwich; cold, soggy veggie sandwich with no flavor (zero seasoning or vinegar or oil) and as mentioned the bread was cold and soggy wet. Also, there seemed to be something wrong with one of the bathroom’s ventilation, the smell was terrible throughout the entire flight. In the past Lufthansa had a good reputation for customer service, they are actively destroying it with how they currently treat passengers. If our return flight is as bad we will never fly Lufthansa again.
Carry-on luggage restrictions extremely stringent- did not allow carry-on sized suitcases we have brought on other flights, boarding is slow and disorganized delaying take-off and making difficult to get to connecting flight
Pros: "Flight was good. The problem was the ticket purchased from Kayak was not as stated. Because there was a layover in Amsterdam, I was not able to check my bag all the way through to USA. AND I had to visit 5 counters to check bag, pay for bag at different counter and 3 other counters!"
Cons: "It would have been better if the ticket I purchased was the one that I selected. It was not as advertised. I searched for ticket that was translatlantic with one checked bag. BUT kayak booked an ECONOMY LIGHT fare that required payment. It was not as advertised and a total head ache for check in."

Cons: "Had wait in line for more than 1.5 hours to check in (no self-serve kiosk) and then conform to the 10kg carry-on (both backpack and suitcase) rule which didn't happen on the first flight. The staff are rude and unhelpful and the whole process of dealing with Norwegian is confusing."
Cons: "I don't know why all airlines don't have a more orderly system for boarding by zones (like Delta). Lufthansa and Swiss both just have a mob of people blocking the boarding area and hindering people who shoud actually be boarding to get through."

Long line for the frankly bizarre security check despite never leaving the terminal, incredibly rude staff at Frankfurt airport, all wearing may we help badges, so kind of answered their own question. Check in staff once we had sprinted th length of the terminal very rude"

Cons: "Walking from one terminal to terminal was quite a problem. when the staff are checking before you pass through the security after you arrived form Lagos to Frankfurt was quite rude. I had a electronic boarding pass on my phone for some reason the wifi from the airport was slow in allowing my electronic boarding pass to work and the staff was impatience with me and rudely asked me to get off the line."
Pros: "On the airline website the price of the ticket was $3000 and I bought it for $750 on Kayak, I expected delays, cancellations or something to go wrong and justify that price drop. Nothing of that sort happened! It was a comfortable and on time trip with no problems!"

Checked bag fees are based on weight which is fair in a way, but annoying that I have to pack a travel scale and weigh it the night before to avoid being overcharged."

Pros: "Overall everything went better than expected. Flew Aer Lingus from East Coast through Dublin to Rome. Making the connection in Dublin was the easiest connection I’ve ever made and I fly multiple times every month. I would fly Aer Lingus to Europe again for sure."
Cons: "We did not get to select the seats. I did get an extremely low priced fare so I was prepared. The seats were in the very back of the plane from Dublin to Rome even though there were many seats open throughout the plane. I couldn’t figure out how to purchase upgrades using the app."
