On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Cons: "When a 30 minute delay was announced (13.45 instead of 13.15), I was fairly philosophical. However, we didn't board until 13.45. Once settled in our seats, another 25 minutes went by when the plane did not move. No information's given. I asked a member of the cabin crew what was going on who said she didn't know anything. I then heard her ask (presumably the captain) on the intercom if he could make an announcement as 'passengers were enquiring' We were then informed that we would have a further delay of up to an hour. We eventually took off at 16.00, over two hours after scheduled time. Thank goodness, I had left plenty of time for my connecting train. I was equally unimpressed for different reasons with Jet2.com on the outward flight on 12 July. I will not be flying with them again."

The information they conveyed was clear and comprehensive and obviously, safety instructions are crucial, but the format and tone of delivery were so patronising I thought they were a parody. They also assumed everybody was coming back to the UK after their holiday - the flight had a good proportion of French passengers and some of us don't live in the UK. Make the announcements more neutral. I fly with a lot of no-frills lines, especially Ryanair and EasyJet as well as the larger carriers such as Air France, BA, SAS and Air Canada, but I have never come across such grating and irritating announcements. I will think twice before booking another flight with them rather than endure this again."

I was glad that i could take my hand luggage onto the plane, allowing me to exit without having to wait at the carousel. There was plenty of space in the overhead locker. Cons: "This is a buckle and fine airline. I went to check in online the day before my flight and added a checked bag for each passenger. The website did not work well and it ended up booking 2 bags each and charging me for two each. When I arrived at the airport they said I had not checked on online and had to pay extra for checking in at the airport. I asked for a manager who said there was no record of me going online. That was odd because I booked and paid for my bags online the previous day while I was checking in.they said I had to write a letter to get back my extra baggage fees I was charged in error. I doubt I will ever see that money again."

Cons: "Flight left late. Hand luggage bag had to be checked in. I had to go straight to work after I Ianded so didn’t appreciate the extra 20 minutes wait at the luggage carousel. I was told the overhead lockers were full, which they weren’t."

Cons: "Boarding from Front and Rear doors was great concept but seats were not allocated to Front or Rear so passengers were trying to pass in the aisle when those in the back boarded from front and those in front boarded from back. We were sent to Front for Row 24 next to last row in place. Simple allocated Front and Rear based on seat assignment."

Pros: "Staff were great at accommodating us. Passengers also. Eventually I was able to get my twin girls to sit together so they kept each other's spirits up."
Cons: "EasyJet website failed to allow us to checkin my wife's itinnery meaning we had to queue for boarding passes, despite having no luggage to check only to find out the flight was oversold and at least one of us was on standby. Fortunately, we all got a seat in the end, but my family of 5 was scattered all over the plane, with 3 of us in the exit isle, which would have been great if our kids weren't all < 12."

Pros: "Staff were good. EasyJet kept us informed. There is a high degree of efficiency and you are treated as a paying passenger rather than cattle."
Cons: "Delays seem inevitable with EasyJet on the Belfast route. I can't remember the last time we had one that wasn't delayed by more than half an hour. The scheduled time is longer than any flight has taken, but I think this is actually a realistic approach given the probability of a delay. There is an issue with 2-3 year olds and seat belts - they are not allowed to travel on a parent's lap, but they can wriggle out a lap belt easily and so are unsecured."

Cons: "Using buses rather than gates to to enter the airport. Is it some kind of saving money with out considering passengers comfort"

Cons: "It was not clear how the different systems worked for carry on baggage, etc. Boarding is awful as you do not know your gate until the last minute, so if you have questions about your flight you don't know where to go to ask, and then everyone crowds into a queue prior to boarding because they've just leaned where to go, shoving people out of the way. They charge ridiculous amounts of money for everything, so a reasonable fare is really not a good fare at all at the end of the day. I would absolutely NOT recommend this airline to anyone who is from out of country or doesn't travel 20+ times a year as they would not be able to navigate this airline's manipulations to extort extra money out of people."

After almost an hour on line I was informed they stopped boarding(10 minutes before schedule). I was told to check in in person even though I had already checked in online, and informed both employees of this fact. I was also not informed that only one piece of carry on was permitted as I had brought two. An effort to clarify necessary stipulations and assistance to do so on the part of the Easy Jet employees would HAVE NOT lead to ANOTHER purchased ticket and my current 15hour wait for another plane. Extremely disappointed at the lack of coordination and assistance on behalf of easyjet employees. I was also not offered a discount on the subsequent tickets I was forced to purchase. This will definitelly affect any future bookings I make through kayak and or easyjet."

Seated in middle seat that didn’t recline. Had to check in via app prearrival at airport to avoid £55 fee per person. Basically the UK version of Spirit Airlines, but worse."

Cons: "We were charged almost 200 euros extra because we did not check in online (which we could not do because we had been traveling for 30 hours and did not have Wi-Fi in the air) and when we went to check in the receptionist was rude about the fact that we had not checked in, so we had to go across to a different counter to pay our fee, go back to check in at the first counter, and then was told we could not be seated together, when it turned out the flight was half empty. Besides all of this, the planes are not nice, you are only allowed one carry on (no personal item) and the seats are not comfortable. I thought we would save money but check in fees and ridiculous baggage fees made this flight cost more than a nicer airline."

Cons: "From now on I will pay a little bit more money to have a more comfortable flight. The aircraft Ryanair is employing is easily a couple decades old, and is incredibly cramped. The whole aircraft felt rickety as it rocketed through the sky. Our flight boarded an hour late (not the fault of the airline) and when we got on the plane the crew members hardly smiled and were very grumpy. That's the last time I try to save a quick buck on a cheaper airline."

I expected him to say; Sorry you found it like that and I will pass your comments to the catering company. this may sound like a trivial thing to comment on but I found his attitude very unprofessional. My wife and I also found the staircase from ground level to the corridor leading to passport control very demanding when carrying a 10 kilo roller case each. There is a lift somewhere but there are no directions to indicate where it is situated."

Also, the length of the terminal to board downstairs off the tarmac is ridiculous for an older couple such as we are. The only good thing was (a) a polite airport employee who got us a wheelchair; (b) a second boarding door for rear section seats."

When I requested that I get the bag back at the gate, they said no. It had to be checked through to baggage claim. This meant that in Dublin I had to go back to get my bag downstairs and go through security twice more. Exactly what I wanted to avoid. I had a very tight connection to the US. It was horrible! I purposely packed light for a 16 day trip!! It would've been helpful if they had let me gate check it. I won't fly them again."

Cons: "The female staff member at the gate was extremely loud and rude and tried to charge £50 to get a luggage bag put into the hold after her colleague had approached and offered this service to my friend. She was extremely embarrassed and offended as the staff member insisted that she place the item into a bag measure. The interaction was unnecessary and unwelcome as my friend had not sked for the kind gesture made by the first staff member. As we were seated in the back row, we were subjected to the raucous behaviour of two of the cabin crew members throughout the entire flight which included discussing particular passengers on the flight including their seat numbers and their personal 'differences' with other cabin crew members whom they would be flying with today! The behaviour of the male and female crew members, both of whom appeared to be American, was nothing short of embarrassing for Ryanair and utterly unprofessional, even during service the couple appeared oblivious to the passengers as they carried on in their interactions with each other. It appeared that the only person who was actually working was the attendant at the front of the plane who I believe may have been the flight manager. A fellow passenger even commented that the couple must have been smoking something before the flight to explain this behaviour. Having flown with Ryanair on many occasions and having recommended them to friends and family in the past, we were bitterly disappointed with both these issues and would suggest that they re-examine their customer care!!"

I have never had such a violent landing. Couldn't have been good for the plane. All the passengers were clearly worried. Not the way you want to stay a trip. Not comfortable w this trip, probably wouldn't recommend Ryan. It also feels like your on a subway car in the sky."
