Pros: "The crew and leg room are really good compared to comparable flights on United, Delta or American. Especially love the power plug behind the seats."
Cons: "Couldn't watch any movies, and most of the DirectTV movies would not play. I was in seat 24 F, and 24 E had the same issue. They told us the reset the system, but it didn't help. Still, plenty of entertainment and on an actual screen on the back of the seat. So I consider it only a dissapointment on an otherwise good airline."

We sat on the tarmac for almost two and a half hours, and it must have been around 85 degrees on the plane. There was a lot of miscommunication about whether we would be switching aircraft. They finally told us to deplane because we were probably going to switch planes. After 15 minutes in the terminal, we reboarded the same plane. Got to LA 3 hours late so had to deal with horrible rush hour traffic, which we had hoped to avoid had we taken off on time."

If the person in front of you is asleep during meal service, the FA (flight attendant) won't lift the seat and it may be a very uncomfortable meal experience. Other airlines will have the FA do it themselves. ...and you need to be careful about staying awake to get food (otherwise you can get forgotten)."

Pros: "The flight to and from Los Angeles was operated by British Airways and was on one of their Airbus fleet. Boarding was completed efficiently and with ease. I sat on the upper deck and was very comfortable in comparison to other major airlines previously used for this particular flight. The plane was very clean and the crew were outstanding. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for crew, and they were ready with beverages, including tea and coffee, and snacks throughout the flight. In flight entertainment was good. All in all very pleasant flight to and from the U K."

After paying that before departure to London I recieved an email from British Airways that stated an extra bag for both my flight to London and return flight to San Francisco had been fully paid for. At the airport I was told by British Airways employees that I would have to pay another $90 regardless of what my email said because their official prices are $90 each way not both. I showed them the confirmation I had recieved and all they could say was "that is confusing". There was very little empathy or attempt to help. As a result I was forced to leave the suitcase behind with my acquaintance in London and do an in airport shuffle of all of my belongings. The flight was great but beware emails that may not match up with online info."

Discussing this with the staff at check0in and at the gate, made no difference as they had no knowledge of what was available on that particular flight. Every time I fly with American I'm reminded of why I don't like the airline and I will do my best to avoid them moving forward regardless of competitive ticket pricing."

I old the flight attendant that I needed help stowing my backpack in the overhead bin, not because it was that heavy or big, but because the previous flight had been 5 hrs long and after being stuck in the middle seat my back was killing me and lifting my bag over my head would have triggered a muscle spasm. I have a back condition and they refused to help me. She would not even hear me out and insisted on me to check my bag, which I refused to because my laptop and tablet were in there without propper padding to protect them. The same flight attendant had already yelled at a passanger and was making a scene that made several other passengers uncomfortable. i understand the flight was full and they were delayed enough, but the airline clients should not have to pay for the airline's mistakes."

It was a really long flight but Iberia made it less tiring with great food and great entertainment.

It would be much appreciated if Kayak could somehow help get locator codes across airlines when they share flights. For example, on Kayak my flights were sold to me by Finnair and Iberia, but both flights were operated by American and yet I was not given an American record locator. So I had to spend time on the phone with American to track down my American record locator in order to do my online check-in. If possible, when you buy on Kayak you should be provided with the record locator for the actual airline that is operating the flight, not just what it's sold as.

I am still trying to recuperate my money. I giked claim with Kayak and the insurance company. The flight never happened. It was canceled and I never received the email for cancelation. We ended up buying 4 new tickets for my entire family to come back to the States. Horrible experience. Oh and Kayak is horrible on resolving the claim. I am still waiting for a call back. I will NEVER use them again. Lesson learned.

When I arrived at MAD I went to the Iberia desk and tried to make an upgrade to their "business" class which was not up to the level of British's Premium Economy. At the Iberia desk at MAD, or online, or on the phone to upgrade the short leg of my return trip without raising cost of my whole round trip from USD $1250 to over USD $4000! years.This was RETURN part of my journey! Also was not able to choose seats ahead of time at MAD when I landed, online, or on the phone. British also said that I could not upgrade just the first (MAD to LGW) leg of my return journey. I would have to upgrade the LGW to TPA also. It is critical to me that I can physically fit into the space between my seat and the one in front. Emergency evacuation would be very difficult for all pax with the short seat pitch. My having to sit sideways with my legs in the aisle would make it more difficult for other pax to to evacuate in an emergency. Since I need a wheel chair I can no longer request the exit row as I have done for 45 years. British should be aware that bad experiences with partner airlines tarnishes their reputation. As a premier airline British should pressure partner airlines to maintain seat pitch at no less than 32 inches which is still tight for many people. Since not all partners have equivalent classes of fares, British should allow mixed classes. For example on a TPA to MAD round trip journey, it should be possible for the transatlantic legs to be at Premium Economy prices, and the short legs LHR or LGW to MAD at business class prices.
