1. Uncomfortable boarding at JFK: Had to go out in the cold to ride a BUS to the airplane: Why can't they use a BRIDGE like everyone else? Since our first leg was from, and our lest leg was to, very warm places, we were not prepared for the sub-freezing conditions. 2. Horrible flight delay: JFK to CAN: Cancellation of flight CZ600, 12/31/17, followed by TEN-hour delay leaving JFK, was beyond traumatic. Airplane had to be fixed, but it should not have taken that long to find a solution. Passenger care was horrible: Initially we sat on the tarmac for 4 hours, then transferred to a waiting station with almost no heat and no access to rest rooms or food.

Crew was courteous and food was good. Plane was clean.

The checkin process at the Lahore Airport was horrific. Probably won't fly out of there again. The queues were a joke. Most passengers were cutting queues with the help of officials they had bribed. Shockingly one airport staff member checked in five passengers in front of me who weren't even At the airport. This lot was issued boarding passes and luggage tags without a problems. An immigration officer also stamped their passports without a question. No wonder Pakistan is and will always be a third world country. Despite the excessive airline and airport staff the simple process took me over an hour. I only got my turn after arguing and pleading my case with the airline staff repeatedly. Seriously this is the worst airport to fly out off!! You have been warned. Use Lahore airport at your own risk!!

At Washington Dulles airport the whole staff was really rude and unprofessional. I had only one hand carry and it was 9 kg. I requested them that I can buy a bag and can divide the stuff in two bags. But supervisor who seemed Indian was really racist and he kept insisting that we are flying in 5 minutes. Either you have to pay penalty for this hand carry or you can cancel your flight. I have never ever seen this kind of behavior from anyone specially from a supervisor. I ended up paying $300 extra for only 2 kg extra weight in my hand carry. I would recommend my whole family and friends not to choose this airline anymore.

Crew Members are excellent, professional and polite at all times. No one shows their tiredness on long flights. The bathrooms were kept clean through out the flight.

Tight seats through out the flights. I am a regular Tea person. When I asked for tea they give the Chinese green/jasmine tea. I don't think they have regular Lipton or Irish Tea. I ordered Hindu meal, for a airplane food it was OK, it could be better. Only thing travelers need to know, Beijing customs/security has long lines and their security check is intense in the transit for the carry on luggage especially after a long tired flight. For this reason I am having a second thought about flying Air China via Beijing. Also, they have random check before boarding.

Seats were ok. Downloaded media for each seat was diverse and entertaining. Food was alright.

Crew was pretty curt and not polite. They also 'didn't have time' to load my bag onto the plane, along with ~15 other people. I had to wait two days for it to arrive. 'No time' to load bags is kind of an odd and slightly unacceptable reason to not load baggage onto a plane. Airlines close check-in for flights 30 mins before departure time to ensure that all bags make it onto the plane. I was 3 hours early. Don't know why they 'didn't have time'. They also broke my friend's bag.

Flight got rerouted to Chicago because of snow. Airline abandoned us for almost 10 hours. No one knew where to go, what to do. That part was horrible after a 15 hour flight.

PIA needs to have a lounge after security at Karachi airport and different boarding times so business class passengers are not waiting in the queue to board and get to seats. Crew was downright rude at times. I was travelling with a 2 year old who was not badly behaved and yet instead of helping or asking if I needed anything, the crew behaved as if they were doing me a great favour when asked for something.

Honestly nothing.

I asked a crew for analgesic and they can't even understand my simple English. And there's time a will ask for water lucky enough if they remember mostly they forget it. The worst part is the food. Worse, the over-ground delivery of said luggage took too long: one third of our stay in the Philippines. I knew we'd wear the same clothes for almost 24 hours straight, didn't expect to do so for three additional days.

regular meals, decent inflight programming

Service can be very erratic. On both long-haul CSA flights I took, attendants spoke poor English, which was surprising given the route. This is a perfectly OK airline for the price. You get what you pay for, in a way. But if anything drifts from the original plan, you're screwed. On Thurs Jan 4 we were diverted to Chicago due to bad weather. CSA has ZERO ground presence at Ohare. They gave us poorly-worded, vague instructions while still on board the aircraft for how to proceed once we disembarked-- and then their crew went off to hotels and rested, while most of the passengers stood stranded and confused in the airport terminal with NO assistance whatsoever. We were NEVER formally told when to reboard, or when our flight might take off again for JFK. We were NEVER told what kind of arrangements would be available for passengers to rest and recover-- and we landed around midnight, mind you. Passengers shared info with one another that they gleaned from 3rd party websites-- we all helped each other out, because CSA was useless. I recognize that it was an unusual situation due to extreme weather but it was indicative of the kind of customer service one can expect. Which is, not much.

Food was generally excellent. Entertainment good, but game choices limited, movies were censored for content.

1. Boarding and un-boarding should be by bridge, especially in sub-freezing weather! What is China Southern's problem with this? Every boarding/unboarding has always been by bus, and we had to be exposed to the elements. Since we were traveling between two warm places, we were not prepared to be out in freezing weather. 2. Layover in CAN was terrible: It was too long (10 hours); Guangzhou Baiyun had NO HEAT and so was very cold, too few charging stations, and very spotty wi-fi. I could not use my credit card in at least one place. At a McDonalds (probably a knock-off actually), the cashier was quite rude, allowing native Chinese customers to cut in line in front of me and unapologetic with their "no-credit-cards" policy. Customer service personnel need better training in international relations.

I loved all of the entertainment options. The music was relevant, the movies were movies I actually wanted to see, same goes for the TV shows. Also, I really liked that you could play games on there with other passangers.

The food was not very good at all. They didn't have any options besides chicken with rice or beef with noodles. Maybe I just don' t like airplane food and that wouldn't be any fault of Air China.

there was zero in flight entertainment - why do they even bother to put a screen above your tray if there's nothing to watch? You could not even view the flight progress / status! No movies either. The food was very bad.

Tight seats through out the flights. I am a regular Tea person. When I asked for tea they give the Chinese green/jasmine tea. I don't think they have regular Lipton or Irish Tea. I ordered Hindu meal, for a airplane food it was OK, it could be better. Only thing travelers need to know, Beijing customs/security has long lines and their security check is intense in the transit for the carry on luggage especially after a long tired flight. For this reason I am having a second thought about flying Air China via Beijing. Also, they have random check before boarding.

I slept the entire flight so I considered this flight a success!

I packed snacks to eat on the flight because I had flown with this airline twice before and they had terrible food so I wanted to be better prepared.

Seats were ok. Downloaded media for each seat was diverse and entertaining. Food was alright.

Crew was pretty curt and not polite. They also 'didn't have time' to load my bag onto the plane, along with ~15 other people. I had to wait two days for it to arrive. 'No time' to load bags is kind of an odd and slightly unacceptable reason to not load baggage onto a plane. Airlines close check-in for flights 30 mins before departure time to ensure that all bags make it onto the plane. I was 3 hours early. Don't know why they 'didn't have time'. They also broke my friend's bag.

Loss of baggage, CAN to MNL, flight CZ3091, 1/1/18: The luggage which had our clothes was delayed. Worse, the over-ground delivery of said luggage took too long: one third of our stay in the Philippines. I knew we'd wear the same clothes for almost 24 hours straight, didn't expect to do so for three additional days.

restroom lines were less due to limited choice of drinks which turned out positive specially when flight was full.

Had to call agency for confirming seats as web was never successful despite many try's. Agency in Washington was v good and helped. on long haul flights the choice of entertainment is poor. food could have been better

The food was the best I've had while flying. Great entertainment selection. Generally smooth flight.

Our flight had to be diverted because of a storm. Once we deplaned, the flight crew disappeared and offered passengers no guidance of what to do next. I expected some level ownership from them on helping figure out what to do next.

Horrible flight delay: JFK to CAN: Cancellation of flight CZ600, 12/31/17, followed by TEN-hour delay leaving JFK, was beyond traumatic. Airplane had to be fixed, but it should not have taken that long to find a solution. Passenger care was horrible: Initially we sat on the tarmac for 4 hours, then transferred to a waiting station with almost no heat and no access to rest rooms or food.
