Was disappointed when landing in Canada was made to wait for over 1 hour with several other parents and babies for our strollers . The expectation was that the gate checked strollers would be there when exiting aircraft. This was not the case we were told to walk to a point and wait for them . After being left there and not being updated we were met with very hostile and rude air canada staff . There where no apologies or understanding even though all the children where very uncomfortable and the parents very frustrated as you can imagine . Instead the air canada staff at the airport where very rude and made an already frustrating situation much worse instead of trying to assure the parents that that were making effort to fix the situation. One gentleman in particular was very rude to some parents telling them to move when they were simply seeking information. He made the other parents including myself feel very uncomfortable. He also told a gentleman he was capturing images of everyones boarding pass when this was untrue as he was only taking a photo of the gentleman pass which was strange.
I wish they gave the earphones earlier rather than when we are already in flight.
We were a little late pushing back ,but arrived a head of time.
The 787 Dreamliner that we flew on was relatively new and a nice aircraft. We flew on a 777 which was noticeably older and the seats were average” but the 787 was very nice, especially for the price. No window blinds anymore, instead high tech adjustable polychromatic glass!! Nice.
an absolute disaster and nightmare on air condition. IT WAS FREEZING!! everyone around us had hats, hoodies, gloves outdoor jackets on. that segment of the aircraft had a fault I assume...no amount of suggestion to turn down the air con helped. otherwise all good.
Everything was very good, short delay Toronto to Regina on my return to Canada but not a big deal. Thanks Kayak, Dr. Ian Stewart
Boarded smoothly, took off on time. Entertainment screens were reliable and the movie library is abundant. Food better than wtst was served on the first leg of the journey by another airline.
It was ok. Even after the airport bus took us to the terminal , we did not expect to walk 35 mins inside the airport to the gate . A 15 min walk is ok . Especially if there was any delay in TSA check which happens to is too then people can easily miss the flight.
Always have no issues with air canada great staff and food just all around good air line my luggage however was 5 hours late and on another flight and I requested a wheel chair because of arthritis in my lower back and fake hip walking the distance in airport killed me no one showed up for me with requested wheel chair but ....in life stuff happens ..... still a good airline and good people
Boarding was terrible. We paid for business class tickets, which would give us “Zone 1” boarding. This should happen before the zones for premium economy and economy passengers start to board. However, the gate agents at Heathrow only had “Zone 1” boarding for about 45 seconds before moving on to allowe “Zone 2” and “Zone 3” to start boarding. We still weren’t through the line to board and many passengers from zones 2 & 3 pushed ahead of us to board (it was a completely full flight). When we finally did get on the plane, there were no overhead storage compartments for rows one or two in business. Apparently this is the way that Boeing 787 planes are designed, which is frustrating to pay thousands more dollars for a ticket and then find out that there is no space to store your carry on. Finally, we got food poisoning from the sandwiches and scones with clotted cream that were served in business class. Barely was able to get home to our condo in Toronto after the flight before suffering from vomiting and diarrhea. What was supposed to be a splurge on the end of our vacation in business class instead turned into a nightmare and the absolute worst way to end a trip.
