Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "Priority boarding and luggage storage."
Cons: "The crew had no control over rowdy/drunk passengers. A shame as young children present. Not one request to calm down and refrain from shouting and swearing. Very uncomfortable and intimidating flight. Will not fly Ryanair again"
Pros: "Online facilities"
Cons: "The police for handbags"
Pros: "Nothing, my worst flying experience since 1993"
Cons: "Check in, why no simple bag drop off? The cabin supervisor never shut up on the microphone, non stop it was, 14hrs later and my ears still thumping"
Pros: "We arrived at our destination"
Pros: "No hassle"
Cons: "Massive queues everywhere. Plane was delayed 40 mins"
Pros: "The flight crew"
Cons: "Checking in had insufficient staff to deal with the new baggage policy. This is purely another money making scheme and not anything to do with the customer experience. Not only are there additional costs to baggage but also because of queues was insufficient time in duty free had to purchase food on the flight, no doubt part of Ryanair profit makeing scheme. Flight was still delay 30mins"
Cons: "No vegan food."
Cons: "Paid for 20kg case not realising it was only one way. They should warn of this when booking"
Pros: "Left outside the plane for 25 min. In the pouring rain with small children. Why start trying to board the plane when obviously it’s not ready to receive passengers."
Cons: "London Luton airport is a nightmare to get into and out of. Avoid if you can. Traffic chaos. Nearly missed our flight."
Pros: "Friendly staff on plane, helpful in preflight check in."
Cons: "25 minute wait in hot stairwell."
Pros: "The few were incredibly amazing they were very friendly and educated, always there to help."
Cons: "Flight supposed to start at 18.55 but we didn’t take off until 9.45pm. I ended up paying extra money for a hotel because we arrived at 12.36 and the car rental were closed. A waste of money, no food, not water. Hope to claim back compensation for my hotel stay."
Cons: "We have 4 hours delay. As usial. It was last my flight with rA."
Cons: "Flight bit cramped in seats"
Cons: "They screwed us at every opportunity. I tried to check on online from my smart phone. I was able to acc SS my itinerary and it allowed me to do everything BUT check in. We had to wait to get to the airport, then they said we were too late (we were 90 minutes early). They raped us with 110 pound fee, which was more then we paid for the tickets. Then because we were “late” by their definition they wouldn’t let us take our carry on into the cabin. They forced us to check it. Then on the plane they wanted to charge for a diet drink. We are usually pretty laid back but by this time we were both pretty upset. Obviously."
Cons: "I didn't liked price for changing the name. I've booked flight for 19,99 to Barcelona, but name change costs 110 euro. It's not very normal"
Pros: "There wasn't any therefore the low rating"
Pros: "Easy on off process."
Cons: "Very small seats."
Pros: "Quick and easy boarding as Priority boarding paid for and much improved aircraft since last time I flew with them."
Cons: "Not a great choice of food for a 3hr plus flight but plenty of alcohol! :("
Cons: "We were told we had to go to the toilets before taking off as the Toilets were not working on the plane. Also the plane was delayed in taking off."
Pros: "Shorter flight back, quiet flight and very good luggage policies."
Cons: "Our gate number was shown 10 minutes before the gate was supposed to close at 19.05. We were kept standing until 19.35 (when the flight was scheduled to depart) and then the door was opened, just for us to sit on the staircase waiting to be admitted into the plane for another 20 minutes. I understand delays and unforeseen events, but no rep had the courtesy of telling us why we had been kept waiting this way, on the contrary we were told to move further down the stairs so we can make more room, resulting in being crammed one next to each other. Eventually at around 8 pm we were finally allowed to get on the plane. Not a cool experience, especially when Luton is 2hrs away from London so the passengers had already spent at least 3-4 hours on the road to get to the airport."
Pros: "Comfortable flight, nice crew, and plenty of legroom."
Cons: "They did not have a space to add bags for the flight when booking. When we got to the airport, we had to pay an additional 40 pounds each for 4 bags to be taken on the plane, which was DOUBLE per bag than the seats cost ($20 each). When on the plane, I wanted a cup of water and they brought a bottle that cost 5 euros. This airline will nickel and dime you into oblivion."
Pros: "A very cheap flight; we had randomly allocated seats away from each other but as there were few passengers this was not a problem. There was almost a row of seats per passenger so I can't see the benefit of paying to sit together!"
Pros: "New plane. Fast easy boarding with priority pass"
Cons: "No back of seat storage for stuff. Food and drink expemsive No entertainment"
Pros: "Crew was very friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Long wait before getting on the aircraft"
Pros: "Only the cheap ticket"
Cons: "Only one check in desk at the terminal with one member of staff!? Flight was late for about an hour! 15-20min is fine but one hour plus sitting on a runway for a long time is unacceptable. Especially in my case as I had a connecting flight to Nis and two hours between them. With one hour delay it was really a challenge to catch another flight. £25 charge for a 15kg bag I too much. I'd be more encouraged and travel more often with the ckeck in bag if that would cost 15-20£ but I anymore at this price"
Pros: "Quick boarding, probably thanks to the small size of the 2 airports (Trapani and Girona). I also appreciated flying with the new boing by Ryanair."
Pros: "Eindhoven is a small, easy and we'll orgenised aerport. Security and boarding went fast."
Cons: "Plane was a bit old. Clean but old. When the stewards spoak over the intercom you coudn't understand a word."
Pros: "For the price of this ticket the service was really good there are improvements but for the price of the ticket I can't complain at anything"
Pros: "Ryain sir charge me 50 ponds to check in. Craze."
Cons: "will not do it again."
Pros: "Exellent friendly service by professional staff."
Cons: "On this occasion nothing, which surprisesd me"
Pros: "Flight was on time"
Cons: "Pretty much everything else. They even charge extra if my wife and I want the privilege of sitting together."
Cons: "Delayed for a couple of hours, and had run out of most things on the plane."
Pros: "The flight itself was fine."
Cons: "Customer rep at check-in counter was not friendly. Also: 1. Wanted to charge people we were traveling with for printing their boarding pass, when they had their boarding passes on line on their cell phone. 2. Could not just check in luggage at check in counter. Bags were weighed there but then we had to go to a different counter to pay the luggage fees, then return to the check-in counter. Very inconvenient for customers"
Pros: "I liked how cheap RyanAir was to fly. It made hopping from GB to Ireland easier and cheaper."
Cons: "The only problem with RyanAir was their check in process. If you don't check in online you pay 50£ My wife and I didn't have a printer and that was problematic because they didn't have mobile boarding passes. Even with their iPhone app."
Pros: "Advertised price."
Cons: "Check-in was a nightmare. I was on international travel with no PC, only phone and Ipad. I downloaded their ap on the phone, as they do not have an Ipad version. After tedious set up of account, I went through and completed the check-in procedure the day before the flight. However, when I attempted to download my boarding pass, the ap failed. I went to the airport 3 hours early. No attendant to be found so that problem could be resolved. less than 1.5 hours before the flight time, and after standing in line for 1 agent, I was told I could not be checked in, because I did not have a boarding pass, and I would have to purchase one from a service desk (different airline was providing service). The service agent said the Ryanair ap should have worked, and called them to request a waiver on the charge. They refused. I had to go back to the gate desk in order to check in, and very nearly missed my flight. Never again!"
Cons: "The staff had no idea what was going on half the time. I had to wait in 3 different lines and were told 3 different things because I didn't check in before arriving at the airport. Unfortunately, I did not have internet access nor a phone to check-in ahead of schedule. Since the airlines assumed that everyone has this luxury, it wouldn't be a problem."
Pros: "Fast and efficient."
Cons: "Expensive poor coffee."
Pros: "The agents act like police men and women. Too corrective."
Cons: "Attitude, correctiveness"
Pros: "The two seats next to me on the plane were vacant, so I was able to spread out and pretend I was in first class."
Cons: "They have you stand in line 30 mins before the flight. By the time you board the plane, you're stiff and unhappy."
Cons: "Flight was delayed by an hour and a half. Rude staff."
Pros: "Price and did not crash"
Cons: "Everything else"
Pros: "Was lucky to have a spare seat even the plan was almost full. Good service ."
Cons: "Plane was late again . Only 40 minutes but seem to be a pattern."
Pros: "Inexpensive bus ride to London from Dublin."
Cons: "Everything is an upcharge...bag check, food, seating choice...and then bombarded with trinket purchase, donation to charity, beverage and food purchase... Rough landings on both legs of the trip...like pilots still training on how to land. Weather was clear and beautiful, so was not condition- related."
Cons: "I booked this flight from the US 2 months in advance, I first traveled to London and then onto Dublin after a week, I paid extra for guaranteed seats and to check my luggage. When i turned up at the airport after having no internet access for a week I was charged an extra $230 because i had not checked in online or printed my boarding pass. This is nothing more than an outrageous scam designed to swindle travelers out of more money. I will never use Ryanair again."
Cons: "Beware! They will charge you 45 + pounds for each piece of luggage! Total chaos at the checkin counter."
Pros: "The flight and the crew was great and it was a really great flight. It was only a 2 hr flight so I did not eat and there wasn't any entertainment."
Cons: "SO MANY HIDDEN FEES!! I expected to pay for my bags but didn't know I would have to pay for my boarding pass or the seat as well!"
Pros: "Originally we thought the price was right but after the experience I will pay the increased fees elsewhere."
Cons: "Luton airport as a whole was extremely disorganized. Only one teller was present for Ryanair to assist everyone with checking in. We waited almost 2 hours to get through the line."
Pros: "Got there early despite plane delay."
Cons: "Plane delayed and couldn't understand one crew member as she was speaking too quickly."
