The flight was slightly delayed by the previous flight landing late. Obviously this happens, that's fine, but on landing at stanstead the bags from the hold were not released onto the baggage carousel for over an hour and a half after we landed. This is completely unacceptable and wasn't acknowledged by airport staff for over an hour, with no explanation given at any point.

The in-flight staff was friendly

The boarding process was incredibly disorganized, with no rhyme or reason for why we were waiting in line after line after line without getting close to boarding the plane. The flight was delayed so we missed our takeoff time, and had to sit on the tarmac for an additional hour and a half until we could get another time. There were very few updates given, and people had to ask flight attendants for updates since no one knew what was going on (even the flight attendants didn't know). We weren't provided any snacks or drinks (not even water) and were told we couldn't even purchase water from them because they weren't allowed to sell anything until we were in the air. When we arrived in Edinburgh, we had to wait for a gate to be available because we were so late, and then had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for grounds crew (which ended up being one woman) before we could get off the plane.

The added space on the outbound flight - afforded by thin Recaro seats

The flight out was fine, although the ham and cheese toastie was dire. But the flight back was delayed by just over 2hrs. Reason was that staff at Luton (where our plane had come just from) had failed to pass on the rather important message that there were two people who needed to be wheeled off of the plane. The **one** truck that was required for this task was in use elsewhere at Edinburgh airport (supposedly for a full one and a half hour) - Which highlights a serious problem - that an international airport sees fit to have only one of these pieces of equipment! I felt really sorry for those two people who were trapped on the plane for 1 1/2 hrs. The was also apparently a broken 'skyway' incident - which added to the delay.

I checked in two days in advance, had to pay for the check-in and baggage fee. There was no link sent to me to print out my boarding pass When we got to Stansted, there were no working kiosks. We went to the check-in desk, where apparently many people were having the same problem we were. My wife and I were told by a very rude Ryanair employee we hadn't checked in. I showed the woman my email receipt and she refused to honor it. We are challenging the charge on our credit card. She lectured us on showing up to the airport two hours in advance. We told her we had, but had been in line for 50 minutes. My wife paid 50 pounds each to check us in, even then the security set up was... labyrinthine. And mind you, I say that knowing full well how long an airport security line can be. When we got to the point where we were supposed to hand our boarding passes over to be scanned and verified, mine wouldn't work. I waited there while the security officer called the desk we'd just come from to verify I was allowed to fly. Mind you, we were being told the gate was about to close, so time was precious. After getting through that and security, we encountered another problem. If you don't know, Stansted airport is actually a mall with an airport somewhere inside. We ran through a long, snaking corridor of shops, following signs saying "all gates." It was an absurdly long run. I don't think I've seen any other airport laid out so poorly, most have shops mixed in with gates, but not Stansted. The gates are all at the end of this silly commercial strip. But not really, you see... when we got to the end, there were no gates, but trams to another terminal. We boarded the tram, got to our terminal and ran even faster to make our flight. Luckily, Ryanair is so disgustingly disorganized that the flight was delayed. Amazingly that which caused us so much stress ended up saving us. I will never fly on this pathetic, god-forsaken airline again. It is a scam designed to filch people who are in a desperate position out of money. Also, I would advise anyone to stay away from Stansted airport. Seriously, I've flown extensively in the Americas and have encountered some pretty chaotic facilities, but Stansted was utterly soviet in its disorganization. I'd rather wait for a bus at New York City's Port Authority bus station, navigating vomiting hobos, than deal with Ryanair, or Stansted airport, ever again.

Almost everything : surprise charge for not having printed out a boarding pas before I got to the airport : extortionate fee for checking on one bag : I guess I've been spoiled on other airlines with the privilege of being able to take a bag of luggage. This, together with the penalty for not checking in online more than doubled the cost! : be prepared for a long wait : very disorganized at the airport : they want you to arrive very early. : one of the flight attendants was pretty rude. : the flight was about an hour late : moral of the story is never take luggage on Ryanair : it's only meant for travelers who can keep up with the hidden fee schedule, travel light and who can put up with discomfort.

Checkin with speedy boarding very annoying. No clear markings for speedy boarding. Unclear where to stand in line, especially if you come later after speedy boarding started already. In flight the crew started relatively late with bistro service - loads of waiting time. Reserved seat in first row but could store luggage only far back, so the advantage of first row and first out completely disappeared

Shame !!!!

A humiliating flight experience. Even though we paid for seating on the plane, we also paid for luggage. We arrived with 2 standard trolleys and before boarding the plane they forced us to send them. It did not help that I explained that in the suitcases there were things we needed for flying, valuables, and fragile objects. The crew member was rude and forced us to pull out our belongings: a laptop, a professional camera with a big lens, two books, two porcelain items we bought and we were afraid to send in the big suitcase, two bottles of drinks and two sandwiches. Passports and wallets. I begged the crewman to let me go with at least one suitcase, but he replied rudely that he did not care !!! There was a lot of room on the plane, in the cells. The crew agreed with me. They tried to help and brought me an orange garbage bag so I could put all my belongings in it ... really humiliating !!!

Nothing. Utterly horrible experience.

I checked in two days in advance, had to pay for the check-in and baggage fee. There was no link sent to me to print out my boarding pass When we got to Stansted, there were no working kiosks. We went to the check-in desk, where apparently many people were having the same problem we were. My wife and I were told by a very rude Ryanair employee we hadn't checked in. I showed the woman my email receipt and she refused to honor it. We are challenging the charge on our credit card. She lectured us on showing up to the airport two hours in advance. We told her we had, but had been in line for 50 minutes. My wife paid 50 pounds each to check us in, even then the security set up was... labyrinthine. And mind you, I say that knowing full well how long an airport security line can be. When we got to the point where we were supposed to hand our boarding passes over to be scanned and verified, mine wouldn't work. I waited there while the security officer called the desk we'd just come from to verify I was allowed to fly. Mind you, we were being told the gate was about to close, so time was precious. After getting through that and security, we encountered another problem. If you don't know, Stansted airport is actually a mall with an airport somewhere inside. We ran through a long, snaking corridor of shops, following signs saying "all gates." It was an absurdly long run. I don't think I've seen any other airport laid out so poorly, most have shops mixed in with gates, but not Stansted. The gates are all at the end of this silly commercial strip. But not really, you see... when we got to the end, there were no gates, but trams to another terminal. We boarded the tram, got to our terminal and ran even faster to make our flight. Luckily, Ryanair is so disgustingly disorganized that the flight was delayed. Amazingly that which caused us so much stress ended up saving us. I will never fly on this pathetic, god-forsaken airline again. It is a scam designed to filch people who are in a desperate position out of money. Also, I would advise anyone to stay away from Stansted airport. Seriously, I've flown extensively in the Americas and have encountered some pretty chaotic facilities, but Stansted was utterly soviet in its disorganization. I'd rather wait for a bus at New York City's Port Authority bus station, navigating vomiting hobos, than deal with Ryanair, or Stansted airport, ever again.

Almost everything : surprise charge for not having printed out a boarding pas before I got to the airport : extortionate fee for checking on one bag : I guess I've been spoiled on other airlines with the privilege of being able to take a bag of luggage. This, together with the penalty for not checking in online more than doubled the cost! : be prepared for a long wait : very disorganized at the airport : they want you to arrive very early. : one of the flight attendants was pretty rude. : the flight was about an hour late : moral of the story is never take luggage on Ryanair : it's only meant for travelers who can keep up with the hidden fee schedule, travel light and who can put up with discomfort.

The in-flight staff was friendly

The boarding process was incredibly disorganized, with no rhyme or reason for why we were waiting in line after line after line without getting close to boarding the plane. The flight was delayed so we missed our takeoff time, and had to sit on the tarmac for an additional hour and a half until we could get another time. There were very few updates given, and people had to ask flight attendants for updates since no one knew what was going on (even the flight attendants didn't know). We weren't provided any snacks or drinks (not even water) and were told we couldn't even purchase water from them because they weren't allowed to sell anything until we were in the air. When we arrived in Edinburgh, we had to wait for a gate to be available because we were so late, and then had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for grounds crew (which ended up being one woman) before we could get off the plane.

The plane crew was actually very nice and did their best to help passengers and provide a good environment.

Anything from charging the flight to a credit card to checking bags at the airport without declaring them online, to checking in and printing boarding passes at the airport costs money, and often it's an exhorbitant fee. Make sure you are 100% clear on their fees and terms & conditions.

The added space on the outbound flight - afforded by thin Recaro seats

The flight out was fine, although the ham and cheese toastie was dire. But the flight back was delayed by just over 2hrs. Reason was that staff at Luton (where our plane had come just from) had failed to pass on the rather important message that there were two people who needed to be wheeled off of the plane. The **one** truck that was required for this task was in use elsewhere at Edinburgh airport (supposedly for a full one and a half hour) - Which highlights a serious problem - that an international airport sees fit to have only one of these pieces of equipment! I felt really sorry for those two people who were trapped on the plane for 1 1/2 hrs. The was also apparently a broken 'skyway' incident - which added to the delay.

we were delayed by some half an hour because of what was said to be over-booking but the pilots however did well to make up the time meaning that we landed right at the scheduled time. Brilliant. We thought this over-booking business was a thing of the past.

I checked in online as instructed. Then at the airport I am told I am not checked in, that online check in is over and that I have to pay £50 PER PERSON to get printed boarding passes. Then the flight was delayed over 90 minutes.

Staff were friendly, and the flight was smooth, plane was clean.

The flight was slightly delayed by the previous flight landing late. Obviously this happens, that's fine, but on landing at stanstead the bags from the hold were not released onto the baggage carousel for over an hour and a half after we landed. This is completely unacceptable and wasn't acknowledged by airport staff for over an hour, with no explanation given at any point.

Shame !!!!

A humiliating flight experience. Even though we paid for seating on the plane, we also paid for luggage. We arrived with 2 standard trolleys and before boarding the plane they forced us to send them. It did not help that I explained that in the suitcases there were things we needed for flying, valuables, and fragile objects. The crew member was rude and forced us to pull out our belongings: a laptop, a professional camera with a big lens, two books, two porcelain items we bought and we were afraid to send in the big suitcase, two bottles of drinks and two sandwiches. Passports and wallets. I begged the crewman to let me go with at least one suitcase, but he replied rudely that he did not care !!! There was a lot of room on the plane, in the cells. The crew agreed with me. They tried to help and brought me an orange garbage bag so I could put all my belongings in it ... really humiliating !!!
