Now that Spirit is not around Alaska took over the title of cheap and worse airlines with high prices for garbage cheap planes. Seats recline the entire 2”. What’s the purpose? Just make the stationary. Crew is on steroids. Food is like McDonald’s happy meal. Only happy in the name rest is garbage
Comfortable seats, good drinks with lots of water refills, staff was kind and understanding of my disabled mother!
The bathroom trash container under the sink fell out and was like that long before my flight. The plane smelled of canned fish and floor was Deteriorating
Flight was delayed 14 hours! We missed an entire day of our vacation and had to pay for hotel that we didn’t use
Could not check in online. Called airline twice, thinking Hawaiian Airlines could check me in during phone call. NO. In 2nd phone call, Customer Service explained that due to “transition period” of Hawaiian Airlines/Alaska Airlines merger, I could only check in at the airport. In addition, flight to Kahului was late at arrival gate; I made connection to Lihue but my bag did not, so I had to return to Lihue airport a couple hours after my arrival to retrieve the bag.

You sold me a $230 seat upgrade. But it was exactly the same seat as the $89 upgrade. The bait and switch seems to have become common practice.
Flight was okay. Flew with my dog who was supposed to be brought to cargo 30 minutes after flight but they took and hour and a half. He’s a living breathing animal who had been locked in a crate for 6 hours already. The fact that he wasn’t prioritized over suitcases of clothes makes me never want o fly Alaska again.
Comfortable seat, plenty of leg room which is so rare, overhead bin comfortably accommodated my carry-on bag. Deli box was tasty, service was good, bathrooms were clean. Uneventful flight, which I appreciate. Departed on time and landed early.
ALASKAN AIRLINES Canceled the flight 2 days before THEN ALASKAN AIRLINES charged me $900 to RE-BOOK a flight they cancelled,
No charging outlets worked. Other than collecting trash attendants didn’t come around. No one could hear flight attendants announcements during the flight. Seat pads were horrible. Sitting on a board for 5 hours. What happened to Hawaiian airlines comfort, hospitality, and extras? Our pilots did an excellent job trying to minimize turbulence and incredible job in landing in windy conditions.
3 hour wait on customer service after flight was cancelled. Was bumped to a flight where I wouldnt have gotten to my destination for another 2 days. Had to fully refund flight and book a new one the following morning. Paid twice the amount for the flight than I had originally booked. Very disappointed I was not offered any sort of discount or points for all of the frustration, in fact the airline profited twice as much off of me by cancelling my flight and and changing my entire trip.
Usually we have a pleasant trip on HA. Not this time! All stewards were unpleasant, rude, rushed, condescending. First step onto the plane, WE greeted the crew with an “Hello!”. They greeted us with a terse smile then ignored us. Not a good start. Even over the PA announcements, they were rushed and unpleasant. One Stewart even berated a passenger in front of us when all they asked is if the purchase cart had vodka to purchase. The steward said “LIKE WE SAID OVER THE PA, THIS ONLY HAS FOOD OR BEVERAGE!” Vodka is a beverage! It was a legitimate question. Not sure why she treated the passenger this way. Taking trash was even unpleasant, No “Thank you” or at least a smile. I work in CS. I know good CS can make or break your trip. There was absolutely no “aloha” on this trip. All clearly did not want to be on this plane and felt strongly that they did not want to provide a premium service to their clients. This might be our last HA and cancellation of my HA-MC if we are treated the same way going home. We are typically treated with kindness and warmth in the past with HA. This trip was unacceptable.
Check in process was a mess. Long lines, equipment malfuctioning. One line for baggage tags then a second line for bag checkin.
Not so good. The takeoff was aborted after reaching 100 knots due to a problem with the front tires. I do commend the pilot for a quick decision and preventing a potential disaster. We returned to the gate to put fresh tires on the front. Our flight was delayed for over 3 hours. The rest of the flight was okay. We were reimbursed by Hawaiian Airlines for only $50. Not too generous
The food was good but for the landing we had to wait 30 mins for the other plane to depart to its destination
Everything went smooth! Flight attendants were very friendly. The passengers, well, that’s another thing. The passenger sitting next to me thought both armrest belong to him- his family member or father was jumping over seats instead of asking his son to get up and go around him -attendant had to tell this family a few times to put their seats up while we were taking off to stop jumping over seats, it’s just crazy how some people have no plane etiquette and I can never imagine my sons, young adults acting that way!!!! I would have spoke up, but I already have high anxiety getting on planes and I was just trying to get to my vacation spot.
Everything was great! And we truly mean it. We’ve had some mediocre flying experiences lately on Delta and Alaska. But this flight was excellent — kind staff, new plane, great entertainment system, clean/comfy seats, and the breakfast sandwich was actually awesome! 👏🏻
Fantastic once I got to the airport. I was having issues technically checking in the night before though and actually creating an account on the website
No 120v output like United. Couldn’t purchase WiFi. No free headphones no free blankets
