Pros: The cabin crew was very good. The check in process was tough but the representative was nice.
Cons: The boarding representative wasn’t very welcoming and the baggage hold volunteering wasn’t explained fully to passengers, otherwise they’ll volunteer.
Pros: It is the worst airline on Earth. They barred me from flight, removed my name from the system so that I can't board because they say that I can't travel with EU residence card with which I travelled to all Schengen countries with other airlines. They lied to me and didn't return my money too.
Cons: They must obey EU laws!
Pros: The crew was very polite and well trained. The cabin was clean and the food and drink selections were excellent. It's not a luxury flight, but for the value - I would recommend easyJet for shorter flights.
Cons: The bussing to and from the aircraft to the terminals is a bit unnerving and super crowded. It would be very difficult for older and less agile persons.
Cons: Waiting for 2 hours at the gate at Malaga Airport before anyone turned up at the desk (would have been helpful to be able to ask someone what was going on) and then waiting over an hour & a half at Stansted Airport for our luggage to arrive at the baggage reclaim. Also the actual Ryanair plane was a mess, crumbs all over the floor & the seats, even used tissues.
Pros: Good service
Cons: That we had to pay for checked bagage on the return flight (Copenhagen to Newark) was an unpleasant and expensive surprise. In the 25+ years I have flown trans Atlantic with SAS, this is the first time that I’ve had to pay for luggage. No pre-warning .... :-(.
Pros: The aircraft (787)
Cons: The booking & checking system was terrible: online check-in didn't work, adding a bag didnt work. When calling the helpline an unhelpful agent explained that 3 days before the flight I could neither check in online nor add a bag! I've never heard or seen this with any other airline. I was told I would have to pay excess at the airport, around 10GBP per kilo! When I asked to speak to someone else I was told there was noone I could speak to! So, one of the largest travel companies in the world has noone to speak to when you have a problem... think about that for a moment. I felt like I was in a Kafkaesque novel. Crazily, when I phoned back in desperation later that day, it was suddenly no problem to add a bag. At the airport it was a similar fiasco: Thomson insists on a ridiculous 5kg for the on-board luggage. Most board cases already weigh 2-3 kilos before you've put anything in them! Not just this, the case was weighed at check-in. Again, I haven't experienced this in years. So the not very competent check-in agent had me juggling weight between two cases, just to comply with the rules, rules which seem exlusive to Thomson. This was the worst pre-flight experience I have ever had, and I have flown more than 25 times a year on average for the last 20 years. Thomson needs to revise its website, procedures & customer service urgently.
