Cons: "Entertainment online"
Cons: "Entertainment online"
Pros: "The flight was on time."
Pros: "It was an ok flight, although late in boarding pilot made up time. Good landing."
Cons: "Flight delayed as usual"
Pros: "The crew was kind and respectful."
Cons: "Ryanair hides a lot of hidden costs and inabilities through their site. I had to pay extra for the luggage that I didn't know about."
Pros: "Exellent start and landing! Bravo pilots!"
Cons: "My travel agent could not check us in as she did not realize she need passport info, exp. date, and birth date and we couldn't reach her in time to get us checked in with the time difference. It cost us an extra 115 pounds to checkin at the airport. That is ridiculous!"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Flight had group of youngsters who should not have been allowed on flight. They displayed rowdy behaviour and swore and gestures throughout flight. Staff did very little to try and stop them until other passengers started to complain."
Pros: "Inconvenient all, no aplogise of delayed Flight as like the turtle!"
Cons: "To prepare on time!! Plz Eeven though I’ve booked more planty of time for next plan, it was late because of too much delayed"
Cons: "RYanair always delayed (1h30 delay inbound, 2h delay outbound), that company is a disgrace"
Pros: "Quickness with the site. Easy to use"
Cons: "1) my first issue is that my card was charged 2x before having to run it a 3rd time to guarantee my flight. I guess Kayak and Ryanair do not communicate as easily as other carriers. 2) I was charged $50 Euro at the counter for NOT checking in. I attempted to check in numerous times, but it was not allowing me to check in. I received a booking confirmation, but never received a confirmation ID that would have allowed me to check in on the flight. I would appreciate if Kayak would have a response to this?"
Cons: "Was told at boarding gate for a visa check stamp requirement. Admittedly it was mentioned in a casual way in the boarding pass, but wasn't a border control requirement. The airline could have done it there. But was denied boarding, waited for 6 hours to catch next flight and further connections."
Pros: "El avión está nuevo y la tripulación está bien"
Cons: "No hicimos check in por internet y en el aeropuerto nos hicieron pagar 55 libras esterlinas por persona para hacer check in"
Cons: "1 hour flight delay 1 hour delay disembarking due to non-availability of ground staff Another appalling travel experience with Ryanair - they should not be allowed to operate an airline"
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "The price of my ticket had nothing low cost. It was $300 for a one way Rome - Paris. Since I never fly with Ryan air, I had no idea you had to check in online. Otherwise they charge you a 55 euro fee for a normal check in at the airport. It’s written in very small letters at the end of the confirmation email they send you. You obviously don’t see it unless you scroll down 10 times all the way to the bottom of the email. This is called a rip off. This should be mentioned all the way at the top near the confirmation number. So I had no choice but paying that fee. I’m sure I’m not the first person this happened to. These thieves must make a lot of money with this. The other bad surprise was that the arrival airport was so far from the center of the city, I paid 120 euros with Uber to get home versus 45 euros when flying into the main Paris airports. Overall, it becomes the same price than flying with Air France."
Pros: "First off the reviews via Youtube and the web site were scarey but I wished for the best. I packed a small American Tourister bag 14 for my European trip starting in Rome to Paris then on to Amsterdam, as well as packed a book bag. At first I booked non priority but figured I'd add the $7.50 to be safe and be able to take both my bags, plus it got me thru the gate quicker, so I booked PRIORITY and it worked out for me. The space is kind of tight but I was able to fit comfortably in my seat and the flight was abt 2 hrs or so from Rome to Paris. I never reclined my seat because after takeoff I fell promptly asleep. I had a 6:30 am flight. The crew appeared very unbothered n blasé but there were no mishaps and they were attempting to get everyone seated as quickly as possible so we could get on to our destination on time. The landing was a bit off but nothing major just a hard drop, nothing serious. Overall not as bad as the nightmare reviews but nothing to brag about either. Well worth my $60 (American)."
Pros: "Very efficient and organized"
Cons: "Nearly 3 hours late and no proper explanation for delay. Sorry but delayed incoming aircraft doesn't wash. Also had to wait nearly half an hour upon landing at Stansted before we could disembark"
Cons: "Having to pay to use the toilet on board"
Cons: "Delay was make rest of trip worse cos my other communication away without me. And I have to find alternative way"
Cons: "Boarding was a mess"
Cons: "I've been using the same bag for years and never had to pay for luggage when flying Ryanair. My bag fits perfectly in those metal things they put in the airport. With plenty of room to spare. The lady at the check in said it was too big. Then I showed her how my bag fits with plenty of room to spare. But then she said it also needs to go up and down if I put it sideways. Basically my bag by volume is much smaller than the standard, but is about half centimeter wider. This was enough for her to force me to pay 50 Euros. I didn't believe I should pay but there was no option. It was either pay or not fly since boarding was almost finished. She made me sign a paper to"acknowledge" that my bag wasn't the right fit. I had no option. I really feel this treatment was un-dignifying. I will never fly with Ryanair again."
Pros: "She was the most miserable and unfriendly person I have ever met! Why has she chosen a customer facing role?????"
Cons: "Air stewards, all very chatty amongst themselves but no time for their customers!!"
Pros: "Getting off the plane at the other end, eventually."
Cons: "The massive delay, the move of gates to the other end of the airport only to get onto a bus and then wait 15-20 minutes to get off the bus and onto the plane. Even an offer of free coffee on board would've been nice but nope, just a few apologies over the PA."
Pros: "Crew jokes eased the tension after the flight was delayed"
Cons: "Flight delayes"
Pros: "If you pay for priority boarding you do expect to get first on the airplane But you go with everyone on the bus and since you got first you are among the last to board ...what the point to pay than?"
Cons: "Booked online & didn't read the fine print. Therefore never registered & had to pay $60 penalty. Did get an e/m 2 days before the flight but was in Poland at the time with no access to my e/m. Don't remember being asked about luggage online so had to pay $40 for my ck'd bag that I thought was excessive. Don't understand if I book online & get a confirmation why I have to register. Seems to me it's another unnecessary nuisance to scam senior citizens like myself. Since you cost me another $100 don't think I'll ever fly Ryanair again. Milt Kriger"
Pros: "The fare was very inexpensive"
Cons: "All of the added fees and added expenses in getting there (cab, busses, time) made in the same cost if not more. as flying to and out of the larger airports. Wasn't worth the stress in the end."
Pros: "Safe, clean"
Cons: "To difficult to get boarding passes on line . Site has a problem changes info. Had to cancel two flights because they were not helpful.your person who took our nfromation on line gave us confirmation then at airport would not let us board even though the info was on her screen at airport. There fore we had to cancel another flight through you , cancel car rentals etc, hotel, no I was not pleased with service. We missed gong to Lourdes, had to book another flight to Madrid spent entire day at airport trying to go some where as you had no other flights which was costly, many expenses we had no counted on and your girl was rude and left the counter went on here break leaving us standing there with 2 young kids and myself k 83 years old.so we could continue our trip very disappointed"
Pros: "I arrived safely without a scratch. The entire crew were very nice. Things were clean. There were no screens for the addicted. I got some sleep before the announcements and sales kicked in on the short flight."
Cons: "Gate was changed after initial assignment. I wouldn't have known if I hadn't sat almost in front of the counter and overheard a customer there saying my flight. I asked someone even closer to the counter if that's the gate, and was told no. There aren't even display boards at the counter so you really have to check. The right gate ended up on the opposite end of the airport, so I wasted a trip and a half, in a way. The previous flight was late, so we boarded half an hour late. We were warned to wait another half an hour on the tarmac but luckily got out in less than half that time. There was no liquid soap in the toilet. I unscrewed the bottle (they really save money and the environment there), put in hot water, and was able to get the soap I needed."
Cons: "Delayed flight without being told before boarding at Paris BVA"
Pros: "The crew were friendly, plane was clean"
Cons: "The flight was delayed as the flight before hadn't landed, which happens. But when we arrived at Stanstead we waited a long time to get off of the plane, and the bags from the hold were not released for another hour and a half after landing, with no recogition of this or apology for the wait."
Cons: "Late no communication stuck in a queue at airport and no one said a word for over an hour! Will never use again"
Cons: "30 minutes late, not enough room for everyone's baggage, small seat next to large guy"
Pros: "Arrived on time after leaving late"
Cons: "I was too tall to be sitting beside two very big people"
Pros: "Flight and crew and service were good once we got to the gate and on the plane."
Cons: "We were required to have a printed boarding pass, and since we were traveling it was difficult to get prior to getting to the airport. Once we got to the airport, we were bandied about from one desk to another, then told we would have to go spend money at a computer/printer station, or else pay 15 pounds."
Pros: "Short flight"
Cons: "Did not receive an email from Ryan air. Arrived at Edinburgh airport and was told that since I did not check in and it was within 2 hours of the flight, I would have to pay 50 Euro per passenger to check in. There were 3 of us. I had previously paid for checked bags and to reserve seats. Sneaky way for an airline to sucker people out of money. Have flown Ryan air before. Will never again. Unfortunate. Staff was welcoming and flight was comfortable. Not a reflection of employees. 100% reflection of upper management."
Cons: "Printing my boarding pass at home to make sure I didn't have to pay a 50 euro fee. It's hard enough to do it right before you leave, but we couldn't print anything for the flight back to Brussels."
Cons: "We were told to use the app for boarding passes-ok great except 'one or more passengers in your party may not use a boarding pass created on this app' ok fine I'll use the website. Except the website will not except any of our flight and travel or information it is it long and laborious procedure. We ended up spending over two hours attempting to get everyone in our party of four registered to check in for their flight only to have the website repeatedly crash and not send us the boarding passes . So in the end I would just warn anyone dealing with Ryan air to print your boarding passes as soon as you book your tickets and slip them into your suitcase once you're traveling and you don't have access to a business center you cannot get their website and/or their app to work correctly for you and if you don't have a boarding pass before you get to the airport they will charge you I believe the charge is €30 per person for them to print you a boarding pass even though their website and their app will not let you download a copy of your boarding pass in a timely and or easy fashion."
Cons: "We followed all carryon size and weight guidelines and passenger carried on bags much larger and heavier than ours. Why did we bother?"
Pros: "I liked the fact that my initial ticket was a good value. I liked arriving safely and on time. A Ryanair attendant took me under her wing and made sure I made my flight, without her, I would not have made it. I am thankful for her."
Cons: "Ryanair is not for the uninitiated. Nor for those who don't read the fine print. My baggage fees were not included, nor were the extra heavy baggage fees. My flight change fees were also as much money as my initial ticket. I almost missed my flight because of the extra time required to add in and pay for all of these fees. All told, at the end of the experience, I ended up spending 400% of the cost of my initial ticket. Be wary, be informed, read the fine print, and then be prepared for shamelessly overt marketing, uncaring bored male flight attendants, and a shabby dirty plane covered in cheap vinyl and bill boards. Next time I will pay any price to avoid this experience."
Pros: "The flight was fine. The on board staff was competent."
Cons: "I was not able to use the flight to Edinburgh so this information pertains to my flight from Edinburgh to Dublin. Myself and two friends on the same flight arrived at the airport very early because we were warned we needed extra time for customs. Little did we know that the extra time we needed was to make sure we didn't miss our flight due to the incompetence of the Ryan air staff checking baggage. But actually even before that, you need to be aware that you'll pay another $15 if you are in the same situation we were in and are unable to print your boarding pass. When we arrived to check baggage their automated system was not working. This appeared related to payment however there didn't appear to be anyone in the long line able to do this. We were subsequently sent back and forth about six different places in order to Just check our one piece of luggage each. One of my friends was directed to a separate line at one point and the agent started yelling at us while we were in line. There was only one poor woman who knew what she was doing having to handle several of us who were angry (not just us), as well as a long line of passengers trying to also check their bags. As I said I would not fly Ryan Air again if you paid me! In the long run you pay more between their "extras" and the aggravation."
Cons: "I checked in online to avoid the fee yet when I arrived they claimed I didn't fully finish the check in process so they charged me 135 pounds for 3 of us. The website was horrible and kept dropping me so after I chose the extras, paid with my credit card, and received the billing confirmation I thought I was done. I even showed them the email but they played hardball and made me pay the fee. Funny thing was they had all the passport information they needed because I really did check in online so all they had to do was push a button to print out my boarding pass. Biggest ripoff ever!"
Pros: "Leg room, was a really easy journey for such an early morning"
Cons: "I didn't have any food so can't comment There was a lack of entertainment but short haul flight so no probs"
Pros: "NOTHING. Absolute worst company, not just airline company I have ever dealt with."
Cons: "Disappointed with the lack of transparency. They charged my friend and I 90 Euros for not checking in online. The flight cost was 40 Euros....Give me a break. I was abroad and didn't have access to a printer seven days before I was notified of this action. Additional charge of 150 Euros for checking 4 bags. The cost of the one way ticket for the two of us was 80 Euros yet the extra fees were 240 Euros. Give me a break! The seats are uncomfortable and then they broke my golf driver in my bag. I haven't even tried to claim that with this airline because they don't care about their customers. Never again and I would suggest to anyone to stay away from Ryan Air. Least transparent company I have ever used."
Cons: "Very poor boarding process, it is priority first then a free for all for everyone else. Don't enforce the policy of having people put at least one item under their seat. Also, didn't realize I had to make my baggage arrangements when i booked the flights. I will never use this airline again. It is horrible."
Pros: "made it in one piece"
Cons: "If you do not check in online 50 euros bags are overweight even though we start our journey in the USA 350 euro. Seats do not recline. No water for free in flight. Seats too close little leg room. Will not fly them again."
Cons: "We checked in online and printed out our boarding passes. They do not post the departure gate till an hour before the flight so we waited in a long line to Get on the plane. When we reached the front of the line they wouldnt take our printed tickets because they didn't have a stamp. (Note) The flight was departing in 15 min. We and about 11 other passengers were turned away for the same reason. We had to get completely out of the airport go through customs, security and check in ALL OVER AGAIN and be charged an extra $150. When we told the airport personnel what was happening they couldn't believe it. We missed the flight and got charged extra! DO NOT FLY WITH THEM! They will look for any reason to take your money!"
