Check in online. Check in desk in Edinburgh is chaos. Not the case with Delta or KLM.
DennisFlew with easyJet-May 2026
Get a suitcase that is EasyJet sized, no more baggage fees. When it's that size, it's easy to carry, No wheels, no extending handles (why use your luggage allowance for the weight of the case?). No worries that you'll get fined when the bag doesn't fit.

Slow security at Inverness and you walk out to the plane through the rain. No issue but worth knowing
StevenFlew with Emirates-Feb 2025
Communication is a wonderful thing ask or tell the staff anything you require in a pleasant manner and you'll be surprised how quickly they problem solve. The assisted care is excellent and prompt especially if you have a connection flight
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Sept 2024
Go to the airport early as the Security queues are almost always long, especially in the Summer months.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Sept 2024
Pass on paying extra for business class unless you have an incredibly long layover then access to the club Lou he may be worth it
Verified travelerFlew with Ryanair-Nov 2024
Ryanair as expected! If you want extras pick another airline and make sure your bags are the right size before boarding.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Sept 2024
Be prepared for a full TSA check in even after having one to get to London.
DavidFlew with British Airways-Mar 2024
6:10 am departure. Got to the airport at 4am along with half of Edinburgh. Truly insane. Like, what does the airport do after 7am? Security looked horrific, but somehow it was efficient (without sacrificing attention to detail); we got through in 15 minutes Staffing was appropriate for volume and facility was adequate size for load. So…get there early. Like, really early. Avoid checking in at airport; precheck bags (or have none), have boarding pass prior to arrival.
KarenFlew with WestJet-May 2024
Try to book your flights on one reservation to ensure you can book seats together at the 24-hour check-in, or at least giving the airline notice so they will try to put you together.
Verified travelerFlew with Lufthansa-Apr 2024
Seat availability approx 24hrs prior can be arranged free on all outbound & connecting flights. Seats are tight like all airlines...
DerekFlew with British Airways-Feb 2024
If you have a second bag... This needs to fit under the seat in front, there isn't space for two overhead

Logan changed the schedule so I couldn’t use the hotel rooms we’d booked which were non refundable. £250 down the pan!!

Everything was fantastic. My trip was short and sweet. No problems. Just remember. My paid checked in was i belive 2 to 3 lbs overweight. I believe I could have been given a discretionary pass rather than paying or unpacking. Especially as flight was probably half full only. Thank you

I really enjoyed the good hot tea and biscuits. I loved the tartan plaid head-rests on each seat and the fact that there were all different. The crew’s uniforms are very sharp looking, too.

I booked this flight thru Kayak and then had to cancel within 24 hours of booking. They only refunded part of the fare, saying that was the usual practice. I was not pleased.

Everything! Not sure if there's really anything that could make it any better

Very quick trip from Southampton to Edinburgh Arrival a long way from baggage and up 3flights of stairs no lifts or escalators
