The most convenient public transport into the city from the airport is the A1 bus service. The bus runs from the curb side outside Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and outside the airport cargo building. The service takes approximately 45 minutes, stopping throughout the city and terminating at the Old Fish Market near NYU Abu Dhabi. Alternatively, if you’re flying Air Etihad, you can use the free coach service into the city, which you can book online through the airline website.
For those travelling through Terminal 3, you can find premium Etihad Lounge services that cater to First Class and Business Class passengers. Terminal 1 has the Al Reem and Al Dhabi lounges, which are both pay-to-enter for 173.25 AED – 367.50 AED (approximately £36 - £75) depending on the service and length of your stay.
If you’re looking for a hotel on the airport site, you can find the Premier Inn Hotel across from Terminals 1 and 3, accessible through the Skypark Retail Corridor. If you want to be even closer, or if you have a long transit at the airport, you can stay at the Aerotel in Terminal 1 after passport control and security. You can also find hotels within 10 minutes of the airport, such as the Marriot Hotel Al Forsan or the Crowne Plaza Yas Island, which both offer airport shuttles back to the airport.
For those travelling with reduced mobility, it is recommended that you inform your airline directly ahead of your flight. However, if you are looking for additional assistance, you can arrange various Meet & Assist Services to help you from your flight until your departure from the airport. Bus from gate to plane waited more than 30 minutes in a freezing temperatures of a/c. Plane temperature was very cold .
Seats very uncomfortable, impossible to sleep. Food average, bakery items not fresh. Pockets in seats not large enough to hold a book and a few other items. Cabin temperature too cold, even with blanket. Good selection of movies. Other than that 12 hours of torture!
The crew was not very warming, need to be more helpful .
I had connection flight. I barely made it to the next flight. I had to run to get to the next flight which was far away from where my first flight was landed . On top of that they search my stuff before boarding that added to the time. Food was ok but they forgot to serve our row with drink and also when it was our turn, they ran out of second option for food and we didn’t have any options for food.
The flight itself it was great nice food the crew were very nice and helpful, Checking in from Birmingham wasn't great long queues for bag dropped, And I had my hand luggage case taken away from me even though I requested to have it with me as I had breakables items. I was told I can not because of the length of the flight with no explanation at all no options was given for me to take my fragile items out of my case it was taken away with hold buggage I find the staff member who was checking me in very unpleasant !! Can we please be advise if the rules have changed about the the carry on hand luggage it will be easier to be advise on booking your tickect if we not allowed to take the hand luggage with me. Overall I had a good flight .
The seats are too cramped in that plane. If you’re above 1,80m consider alternatives or first class I guess… There were no emergency exits to seat somewhere with more legroom
Boarding in NCL is really bad. I'm sure part of that is a directive from the airport that KLM can't change but part of that is due to KLM policy. NCL doesn't announce the gate of departure until 30 minutes before departure. However, when you arrive at the gate area, the gate agents file everyone into one long line and everyone boards from one line at one time. This line can stretch for 200m...easily. There is a separate line for groups 1 and 2 but you don't know it until you get to the gate area and agents don't announce/advertise it. Everyone else is grouped into one line. Are you in group 3? Doesn't matter...you board with group 5. Traveling with a child? Tough luck...you're stuck at the end of the line and board last. The last part is very annoying because none of the gates at NCL (with the exception of 1 used by Emirates) has a jetway. To board, you must leave the gate area, walk downstairs, walk onto the tarmac and walk up stairs to board the plane. Highly challenging if you're traveling with small children. That boarding process begs for a concession to allow people with children to board first because they will need extra time. But there is no such policy. Just a really horrible boarding experience all around.
They have more than 4 hours delay, and broken all my bags
There's no dedicated Lufthansa gate presence, rather Lufthansa staff place some hastily deployed cloth banners a few minutes prior to boarding. Lufthansa staff arriving at the last minute were innundated with passenger requests at the final moment including my seat selection request that I was unable to make online or via United Airlines operating the first leg of my flight.
The flight was cancelled at 5am, I was forced to have alternate transport home, TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I will never fly lufthansa again
Departure delayed two hours due to congestion over Frankfurt airspace. Not the fault of Lufthansa, or crew. At Birmingham we sat around in the corridor for 90 minutes with no sears, outside a locked waiting room. The Birmingham WlFi was not connected to the internet for some. reason
No priority boarding or dedicated checkin for premium economy Plane over heated Terrible food — stale dessert No snacks available Drink glasses minuscule Will avoid Lufthansa flights in future. Literally the worst value ever.
I should've been inform it wasn't Lufthansa but United Airlines.
The seats do not recline and are very hard on the back. But it was only a 1 and a half hour flight and the crew are very nice and attentive so it’s ok
The flight was delayed and we were stranded at Dulles airport for 2 days (48 hours) as United Airlines cancelled the flights!
My flight was canceled And I am still waiting for a ticket to get back home. Really poor customer service.
Nice airplane, quick boarding, excellent crew. The entertainment choices are very poor comparing to previous trips with LH. Food was horrible, neither one of us ate it.
