Pros: "I had never heard of Qatar Airways before I booked a 24hr flight to and from Sydney, Australia. I only did this on the suggestion from a friend that stated Qatar Airways was "alright". So for the price I thought what the heck! I was extremely pleased with the service from the cabin crew. They are always polite, professional, and well trained compared to my previous favorites Delta and Lufthansa. The seats were comfortable (as comfortable as Economy and 24hours of flying can be), the entertainment and aircraft were state of the art, and the food was outstanding for airline food. If I get the chance in the future I will definitely choose Qatar Airways for long trips."

Cons: "Qatar Airways check in at Heathrow was a dis-organised shambles. Arrival at Qatar Airport passport control was even worse at 12.45 am. Long queues,very slow to move, police checking passports unbelievably slowly. Retina scanners should speed up the process. Why then take 5 minutes to check each passport? Poor advert for Qatar, after nearly an hour of queuing I would think most passengers wished they had gone somewhere else."

Cons: "my wife has problem about her mobility so she was given a wheelchair. when we boarded in dfw those with disabilites or those who were in wheelchair included her were the first one to board the aircraft, in short they, people with disabilities, were prioritized from everybody else while in doha the first class passengers were the one who boarded first ahead of those with disabilites. now my question is, why is there a difference on how you treat customers, is this due to certain laws of a certain country, or is it due to the financial benefit that a customer give you or it depends on what the crew on duty at that time decides? May your answer to these be addressed to everyone who might be considering you and or supposed to be customer of yours so that they will be aware what to expect from you. Thank you."

On July the flight was schedule for 9...pm then delayed for two hours because of a fire, other passengers said, in London. At around 11pm, we were asked to line up for boarding. We stayed on line for an hour and fnally to be told the flight was cancelled. We were treated less than animals by British Airway. No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!!! No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!! We slept on benches at the airport. To be fair to you, I will not recommend British Airway to anyone."

Cons: "This is not Iberia's fault but AA - when we all got to the departure lounge (not check in) in Manchester we were informed there was to be a stop at Gander, Newfoundland, to refuel. Then I realized AA had put a Boeing 757 on flight AA55 instead of the usual 767 and it doesn't have enough fuel for the westbound flight against prevailing headwinds. When I got home AA had sent me 2 emails - 1 advising me of a delay on my AA55 flight MAN-YQX (Gander), despite the fact that the schedule calls for a flight MAN-ORD. The 2nd rebooking me on a later AA flight from ORD-SGF. AA are guilty of deception here and their sleight of hand caused me 4 hours delay arriving at SGF and a night in a hotel instead of driving home."

What I got was my trip to Philly to Manchester with middle of the middle seats (I PAID FOR AISLE). On the way back we got a change through Chicago (which I tried to avoid by booking in August). We did get the proper seats, fortunately. I will never book with your company again. So dissatisfied ....I booked so early and to no advantage."

The people at the desk let us know that it was because we checked in online. I don't mind being asked questions but they could have done that part of the process in the two hours that we were waiting to board so as not to further delay the boarding process."

While I didn't let him listen to the program, he could still watch violent scenes I would not allow at home. There are plenty of family friendly good quality PG or G rated movies that appeal to everyone. Would it be too hard to get individual screens in 2017?"

Cons: "This had to have been among the worst flights I have ever experienced in 50+ years of flying to 86 countries. First, an e-mail before I left my Paris apt that it would be 1 hr late departing. THEN the announcement ON BOARD that the flight would make a REFUELING stop in Bangor Maine (the eqpt was a 20 yr old 757 meant for a medium-range domestic route instead of Paris-NY). So it was FOUR HOURS LATE arriving, including an extra hour on the ground in Bangor because they'd lost their landing slot (tho they lied about "bad weather" at JFK) ... a succession of lies and incompetence. Headphone jack didn't even work at the seat ... the movie was a US film dubbed into French anyway! Gawd what incompetence. A letter Fedexed to Doug Parker, AA's CEO, was not even acknowledged.... and I do 35,000 air miles a year on AA. THE WORST."

Although I was exhausted because I had a 8 hour layover in Manchester, it would have been nice to have a couple of entertainment options. On my flight on British Airways from New York to Gatwick, we had so many movie and series options. These things are important on a long flight, otherwise the flight becomes torturous because you run out of things to do. On this flight, we had no choices, only what was given to us to watch. This made my flight unbearable."
