  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Romania flight deals.
  • Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport (OTP) is Romania's main international airport, approximately 11 miles (18 km) from Bucharest city centre. The main transfer options include a bus, train or taxi. You can take the 783 Express line shuttle, accessible near the arrivals terminal and departing roughly every 40min. Alternatively, you can opt for the Henri Coanda Express train that connects to North Railway Station, in Bucharest.
  • Worry not if you wish to hire a car once you arrive at Bucharest International Airport. The car hire counter is centrally located between the arrival and departure terminals and is easily accessible. The primary car hire companies include Budget, Hertz and Sixt, while the car models you can choose from include SUVs, sedans and economy/compact cars.
  • Bucharest International Airport has broad elevators, easily accessible washrooms and a readily available special-assistance team to aid passengers travelling with mobility limitations. For the necessary arrangements, ensure you alert your travel agent or airline at least 48 hours before your flight if you are travelling with mobility limitations.
  • Romania has a number of airports located around the country. The main international airport is in Bucharest, the capital city, and from here you can fly to other regional and domestic destinations. Visitors who will be based in the east of the country should consider flying into Iași, which is on the border with Moldova. Flying into Constanţa will give you an opportunity to explore the coast and if you book flights into Oradea (from Bucharest), this will position you on the westernmost border of Romania.
  • If you are looking at flights to Romania so you can visit the coastal towns on the Black Sea, then it might be best to book flights to Constanţa Mihail Kogalniceanu International Airport (CND), which serves the sea port of Constanţa on the Black Sea. This airport will be a good base for you to book onward connections to explore by road.
  • For visitors wanting to spend time in Transylvania, there are three airports to choose from – Cluj-Napoca International Airport (CLJ) and Sibiu International Airport (SBZ), both of which operate flights to and from London, and Transilvania International Airport (TGM) which has domestic flights to and from Bucharest.
  • As it is not easy to obtain Romanian lei outside the country, so it is best to exchange currency once you arrive in Romania. There are ATMs and bureau de change counters at the main airports where you can withdraw or exchange money. While larger establishments in the city usually accept card payments, it may be worth buying some lei in the city before heading to smaller towns.
  • If hiring a car at the airport, please note that it is mandatory for a child under the age of 12 and who is under 5 ft tall to use a car child seat that is appropriate for their age. You can try and book one through the car hire company or bring your own to be on the safe side. Taxi drivers are exempt from this regulation, so if you are planning on using taxis from the airport, you may wish to bring your own seat with you.

Old wear of seats, uncomfortable, hard to seat. Entertainment equipment malfunctioning, sound system bad, old hardware. All together made my mind not to use BA going forward.

Cons: "I asked and confirmed twice on two separate phone calls that we would need a wheel chair assistance and they assured that it s notified on her ticket .. and still nothing was there for her .. she went by herself in London to the information desk asking for the wheel chair and in Lax no one even met"
Cons: "the onboard entertainment is a very old system based on small unpractical screen. Mine was also broken. My meal came, twice, with no cold drinks. I had to call the crew but did not answer all the times. When they came, they brought the wrong drink."
Cons: "This was a really old plane. The screens were really small And was so scratched and messed up that it was almost impossible to use . I was never offered a choice of breakfast before I boarded and I could not get what I wanted. You do not offer enough space fo list all my comments. Very unfair"
Pros: "The crew were pleasant and helpful"
Cons: "The entertainment system is way behind many other carriers - poor variety of choice, and small poor quality screens"
Pros: "The crew was very helpful in adjusting my flights. The lack of information on passport policies from kayak have made me disappointed on this company and I will not be using it or recommending it in the future. I had to spent over 300$ in hotels and gas to get to Miami to obtain a new passport."
Cons: "The booking services that kayak offered were not helpful at all. When I booked my flights to Spain the website should have alerted me that I needed a passport with an expiration date of over 3 months. Kayak should have information on travel policies to the countries they offered flights to."
Cons: "Slow boarding and then the plane was 3+ hours late due to mechanical issues"
Pros: "My flight was over four hours delayed and I appreciated that when I got to the airport and found that out, I didn’t have to ask for anything but was immediately greeted with a food voucher. I lost an entire days worth of vacation in Germany, so well I do feel the British Airways should have done better and should’ve compensated me better, the fact that they immediately took steps to make the situation better was greatly appreciated. That level of customer service was beyond any I’ve received with an American-based airline. Also, the crew on the plane was fantastic and a great choice of movies. I flew American on the way home and was shocked at the lack of customer service and rudeness, I will happily fly British Airways again and again."
Cons: "A plane that was over four hours late costing me an entire day in Germany."
Pros: "Timing was good"
Cons: "They charge me for second bag on my way back although my ticket emwa for 2 bags"
Pros: "Professional, nice and pleasant staff, food, timeliness"
Cons: "Small leg room, thinness of Sears such that any small movement from person behind was like a kick to the waste/back, old small entertainment screen, no eye masks"

The flight was 1.30 hour late because of the Police checking 4 passengers. This was not Ryanair fault but was quite ennoying.

Pros: "Fast and smoothy check in"
Cons: "After arrival to budapest not platformy ready and waiting over 10minutes"
Cons: "Gate announcement was only a few minutes before cut off!!"
Pros: "We had an eventless and safe flight and it was not too cold on the plane."
Cons: "There was no paper towel in the toilet, the water for the tee was not warm enough to have tee. We have been told to have 10-20 min delay we arrived much later. And the intonation of the speaking stewardess was so annoying that you could not listen to it :( These are minor things but can change the customer experience."
Pros: "We landed"
Cons: "Customer service, communication between check in and boarding agents, clear rules. On time departure as opposed to 60 minute delay on the runway"
Cons: "Wiz air seems to trick you constantly to get more money out if things they hide from you.. online check-in required.. letting you in work a trolley and then charge you at the gate.. pee service overall.. beware!!"
Cons: "Never announced for non-priority boarding, so many people were late to flight, causing delays. Much less than minimum leg room required for any normal human. Sat bolt upright with front seat digging into knees for 3 hours. Far from the cheapest ticket, but totally no frills, no food, no entertainment, limited baggage. Wizz Air mobile app barely works when required (for boarding passes, etc) Not enough room in overheads for all the carry on they allowed, had to sit with bag and jacket on my lap for flight, as no room under seat either."
Pros: "On time departure"
Cons: "We arrived at the airport 2.5 hours earlier than departure as suggested. They opened check in for Naples on the boards but the agents would not let anyone for Naples check in/bag drop. Once allowed it was chaos in the line. Once we got through security our flight posted as “boarding”. We got there in time but the unnecessary rush was uncomfortable and chaotic."
Pros: "I called flight network and was put on hold for about five minutes, simply to get an answer to the question of the baggage allowance - I didn’t see it anywhere when booking the wiz air ticket. They told me that I was slowed one checked baggage and one cabin baggage that would be charged about €40 if it was over 30 kilos (which it was not). At the airport wizz air said that I had chosen online booking (which I had not) and therefore I had to pay a €30 fee. Also they said I had no checked baggage allowance and was charged an additional €150 !!!!"
Cons: "That I wa given false information that cost me a huge amount of money, And that the booking page does not make it easy to add baggage information."
Pros: "Got me to where I was going and the airline stewards were polite and helpful."
Cons: "Like all budget airlines, Wizzair has low fares and anything else is a nickel and dime game. When did a cup of coffee cost anything? Is this the norm? I would not know. I travel with a musical instrument (guitar) in a soft case. Easily fits in overhead bin compartments. The airline would not allow me to carry it on (only recourse was to purchase a second seat for it). I was forced to pay a baggage fee (around $70 u.s.dollars). For what? To pray it doesn't come back to me damaged? To their credit, it did not..."
Pros: "The crew was great"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 30 minutes at least Seats very uncomfortable No water offered only drinks for purchase"
Pros: "The flight itself was on time and all that"
Cons: "The plane itself was clearly cheaper than the planes Transavia and Norwegian used. The only problem (though this had nothing to do with the airline) was having to sit in Nantes airport for 14 hours with no access to real food after about 11PM. The free shuttle into Nantes is great but I wish it worked later on Sundays. I was thrown for a loop and by the time I got a handle on what my options were they had closed."
Pros: "The few were incredibly amazing they were very friendly and educated, always there to help."
Cons: "Flight supposed to start at 18.55 but we didn’t take off until 9.45pm. I ended up paying extra money for a hotel because we arrived at 12.36 and the car rental were closed. A waste of money, no food, not water. Hope to claim back compensation for my hotel stay."
Pros: "Cabin crew - efficient, friendly and with a sense of humour."
Cons: "Having to buy Prority boarding to guarantee access to the overhead bins. Seats not that comfortable. Little legroom (i’m average height at best)."
Cons: "An hour delay for take off, we were trapped in the plane"
Pros: "The plane left on time."
Cons: "The plane itself was probably one of the most disgusting that I have ever been on. There was literal garbage and food all over the floors, the air flow was not working properly, the crew was not friendly, and upon boarding I was made to wait for a reason that was never explained although I had paid for priority boarding. This airline needs some serious help, because my flight to Ibiza was also a terrible experience. Would 10/10 NEVER fly with them again."
Pros: "The plane was nice and new."
Cons: "The cabin bag policy is ridiculous - we had small backpacks and had to put them in the hold. The plane was oversold so we were late while we waited for someone to get off. My friend has an NZ passport (with a 5 year ancestory UK visa) and had to print out her boarding pass at the hotel and then get it stamped - we don’t have to do this for any other low cost flights! Not sure Ryanair is really worth the “cheap” flights with all the add ons and hassle."
Pros: "Initial fare"
Cons: "Because of its wheels, my suitcase wouldn't fit their dimensions for gate check and they charged me 50 euros before boarding. They could have waived the suitcase through or offered to upgrade me to Priority, but they preferred to make an example of a passenger. They make you parade with your suitcase to the front of the line to "prove it." I will not fly on Ryanair again."
Pros: "Crew were ok"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 3 times, no information given why. We were in priority and allowed down the stairs then kept there for 10-15 minutes. Boarded a bus to the plane then we couldn't get on as there was an issue with the steps. Took off after the final delayed time. On landing, we were told the airport was short of ground crew so we had to wait to steps and once off had to wait for 15-20 minutes for the baggage lane to be announced."
Pros: "Finding an affordable flight to allow the family to get away for a weeks holiday that would otherwise not be possible."
Cons: "Having the family sitting separately on the flight as we were not able to afford to pay additional money to per book seats. But it was only a 2 hour flight so we coped. Think it would be a good idea if the airline didn’t just assume that because a child is 11 years old they are able to sit away from their parents. My son has additional needs and so although his chronological age is 12 years his developmental age is only 7/8 years so being sat away from his parents was very stressful for him. Maybe asking during booking if any of the party hav s additioonal needs would be a good idea."

Attesa lunga nella comunicazione del Gate e dopo l'apertura del Gate

Sempre in ritardo, bagni sporchi e sedili sporchi con le briciole

Cons: "Flight was over an hour late, and bags started coming out ~15 mins late -- no apparent reason why in either case, just every step of the boarding/deboarding process felt slow. Caused me to miss my connecting flight. Staff didn't seem to be in a hurry to speed things up."
Cons: "No communication on delayed, inaccurate information. Flight Attendants are rude. Never again on LCPeru. Worst airline ever."
Pros: "I did not like anything about the flight."
Cons: "Everything was wrong! They did not communicate with us and we were stuck in Cusco from 8am-4pm. All other airlines were moving and getting their customers back to Lima yet LC Peru gave no viable justification for the bad experience."
Pros: "That they comp'd me a ticket on Peruvian that day so I wouldn't miss my connecting flights to the USA"
Cons: "The fact that they were barely willing to acknowledge customer support phones were not answered, main office in Pulcallpa was closed, just terrible."
Cons: "Entire airport was delayed an hour or two yet LC Peru was the very last to leave. Flight was delayed over 5 hours, never got any information until I went up to a stand to ask. Horrible experience. Missed my connecting flight, and was forced to rebook and pay the difference in fares!"
Cons: "Flight was late and there wasn't enough information given."
Cons: "This airlines has horrible customer service and seems unsafe too. They cancelled flights multiple days in a row without cause and weren’t helping people with refunds or rescheduling. One day they just said cancelled for rain. I ended up buying a return flight with Latam after my friends’ flights were cancelled just before boarding without explanation. Do not use LCPeru."
Cons: "Flight cancelled at last minute after checking in and waiting around for o’clock two hours. The stated reason was ‘weather’. Had to buy new tickets on another airline for the next day- will never fly with them again."

The flight was delayed 5 hours and I'm and invalid,I wan a refund for this

The cabin crew on that flight were super fantastic and super helpful. They were so polite and considerate that i felt i travelled with a 5star airline.

Delayed delayed delayed - always with Wizzair. Staff were friendly and well mannered but clearly the company is unorganized and the aircrafts are outdated.

It's a budget airline. Great for short flight. Smooth landing.

4 hr delay and only told less than 2hrs before. Only given water and nuts on the flight as complimentary service. Left to wait in rain before boarding.

To be honest I did not like anything. Communication to why my flight was cancelled mid air 2 and half hours into my flight. Customer service desk were not helpful with providing information or a solution on what can be done.

I have been treated unacceptably by WizzAir aircraft crew in a previous flight, they threatened me and abused me, and I received an OFFICIAL written apology, but only two (2) months later. This flight had no such unacceptable behaviour, but it's not nice to be left waiting in the walkway (from gate to aircraft) for a long time, just so that the 'boarding' appears to be early, even if actual departure is not.

What I liked new airplane Sitting was extremely uncomfortable! Crew not smiley at all Always chewing gum

The flight was cancelled just 4 hours before the take off...

No food on board. Not comfortable. Had to move seats was delayed more than 3 hours.
