The pilot kept us informed periodically during our journey. I liked that we could choose our seating online. The entertainment was good.

The plane was dirty, all seats did not have pillows and blankets. Seating was not very comfortable, particularly as there was a box attached to one of the legs of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to move my legs to an uncomfortable angle.

The flight has a 32 hour layover and KLM lost my luggage and it was not found until a week after my arrival back home. I still have not received my bag at this time. The boarding crew was manually tracking who boarded and who didn't. It was a cluster.

Nothing one can do, for a 6.2" guy, the metal bar that forms the shape for the pouch for magazines and such digs into knees, ESP if person in front adjusts seat back. Fold out table barely accommodates laptop.

International carriers kick butt on US domestic carriers. As a A+ SWA traveler, I know my 787s like the back of my hand. Xiamen had a Business class section (small & unfortunately: untested by me). Economy was as expected but imagine getting a Bao (chicken) & packaged fruit, pastries, pickled cucumbers. Hey, beats a pack of peanuts. You could also get a white or red wine (didn't try them) - all for the price of admission. Take that UA, Delta, & AA! Why can't foreign carriers bring their game to the US routes and really give some competition!

No entertainment (there was some fold down screens playing some ads) but the volume was so low that nobody paid any attention to it. At least someone can read a sentence in English (and there were pre-recorded anouncements).

I was not able to travel because of the volcano eruptions threats in Bali. Tried to cancel and get credit for the trip no one was able to help. Insurance wouldn’t cover because apparently volcanoes are not considered natural disasters. Tried to call eastern China airlines no one would pick up the phone. Soooooo there you go I don’t think there’s anything you guys can do to make happy again.

Great value! This was my first time on China Eastern and was apprehensive because of numerous negative reviews I have read about them. Boy, was I very pleasantly surprised. I travelled from Honolulu to Manila with a stopover in Shanghai. The pleasant experience started with the ground crew in Honolulu. Very friendly and helpful unlike experiences I have had with other airlines there. The flight crew was also very good — respectful and helpful in spite of the limited English. The flight left the gate 5 minutes before scheduled departure. I rated the food and entertainment 3-stars not as a negative, but because it was ordinary — I did not expect anything better than that because the price was very cheap. A couple of observations: (1) in spite of a nearly full flight, there was plenty of overhead space — could it have something to do with their luggage policies? and, (2) very efficient boarding — boarding by seating zones rather than frequent flyer status. I saw a lot of calm and no aggressive behavior. Just overall pleasantly surprised.

The price was right and we got what we paid for. All in all the experience was decent. We got where we wanted to go and we didn’t break the bank. The staff was very courteous and helpful, the quantity of food was good.

The seats were far from comfortable, but flights this long never are. As with all planes, the seats just aren’t designed for people that are six feet tall or more. Such is life, but these seats are also quite hard. You get what you pay for.

there was a couple nice flight attendants.

They still used old crappy screens that you couldn't see very well with any glare from windows. The movie selection was not great, not many good newer choices, lots of old movies/shows they probably got for super cheep or free. The food wasn't great at all. I've had much better elsewhere. They cut corners there too, not impressed.

The flight was excellent. Crew attentive and pleasant, good amenities--decent meals (special diet preferences observed on 2nd of two flights, but not first). Frequent offers of beverages and water throughout the flight from Munich to EWR, hot towels. Nice! I was not able to choose my seats until check-in, 24 hours before flight time. Of course if I wanted to pay extra (would have amounted to $60 for two flights for each passenger) I could have. Representatives at check in in Athens, were indifferent and not very pleasant.

I love that you get meals and snacks. A lot of airlines really skimp on this, and you are left miserable, hungry, and thirsty. Korean Air will bring you drinks outside the service times set. Free additional bottles of water as well. The service is excellent, the meals are good, and I absolutely love that you get slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, and even free headphones should you forget yours. Top service! Good meal portions! I also like that you have 3-4 different meal or snack options each service. CLEAN BATHROOMS!!!! Also, the flight attendants are very polite and courteous. You never feel like they just don't care. They even help with families traveling with small children. A+ guys!

I really have nothing negative to say about this airline. They are my favorite, and I fly with them every time I am able, 7 times international to date.

Clean bathrooms, courteous attendants, plenty of food and drink! These and more are what you can expect from Korean Air. Attendants are also bi or tri-lingual in many instances and will even bring you water and other drinks if you need it. I never felt dehydrated or hungry like I have on other carriers, and I appreciate this so very much because it isn't cheap to buy a bunch of food/drink after security to bring on the plane just to not starve... NOT on KOREAN AIR - full belly, no chapped lips! They even have hydration spray in the bathrooms and lotion too!! You get slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, headphones, and did I mention the games and movies on your INDIVIDUAL SCREEN ARE FREE? In case you are wondering... I flew COACH. Another note from this trip on the level of service. There were a couple of people, who I think were Vietnamese. They spoke no Korean and no English. The flight attendants even made an effort to find another passenger who spoke the language to explain the U.S. Immigration form because the forms were in Korean and English as the flight was coming ion from Korea. It was probably also available in Chinese and Japanese since many from there also take the Korean Air flight to the U.S. Still, the couple spoke none of those languages. They were behind me. It turned out that no one else on the flight spoke their language. So what did the attendants do? Well, they filled out the forms for them so they could get to their family, who turned out to be in Houston.

I have nothing negative to say. I love this airline!

I love the fact that the program that launches the flight were pretty new, but the fact is; everything run like a well oiled machine. From customer service to departure everything went smoothly. Since the flight was brand new not a lot of people knew about they're great deal. I bought a one way ticket to xiamen because I will be working a school teacher. I didn't realized til later on that it's possible for someone with a z visa to receive an extra 23kg check in baggage for free. I contacted the customer service who replied within a day and everything was fixed. Now, I've been travelling a good amount to China and US, so far the food that are good is xiamen airlines. It's healthy, not greasy, and my stomach didn't hurt.

For now ? Nothing. It's my first time riding this airline and I would definitely pick this than China southern or eastern airlines. I have been disappointed with them too many times.... food suck, cramped leg space, and an overabundance of delayed and cancelled flights. Need improvement: it would be nice if the flight attendant don't assume every Asian is Chinese. Over and over the flight attendants would suggest food options, snacks, and drinks in chinese. I understand this won't be the first nor would it be the last that someone would mistaken me as a native Chinese speaker. Overall, the whole experience was amazing!

787 Dreamliner's hardscape was new and clean. IFE was decent but had some anomalies (can't take off of pause unless you shut off screen, select same movie and resume). Food was fairly decent and plentiful. Think a cheap chinese diner & you've got it.

Crew was efficient but can't speak Englsh worth a nickel! While I have a limited ability in Mandarin (think 5yo vocab), the announcements in Engrish was almost as bad as some of the translations in many Chinese products. I pity the people who can't understand ANY Chinese: they could not possibly get most of the announcements. They should really get at least 1 FA that can speak and understand English. The signage in Xiamen (I was transiting from LAX to TPE) was amazingly poor and confusing. You basically stumble from 1 floor to another based on the signage. The airport was actually very large for what appears to be a medium size city.

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible.

I have a dairy allergy but had no option to prepurchase a dairy free meal. It made for a very unenjoyable flight as I couldn't eat anything they had. What was worse was after I told them of my situation they said they understood and had a meal that would do but there was cheese, yogurt, milk chocolate, etc.

The very dirty plane was cleaned at Dar-es-salaam and became less dirty. The pilot kept us updated periodically through the flight. The flight attendants were very pleasant.

The plane was very dirty when we landed in Dar-es-salaam. The plane did get cleaned a little bit in Dar-es-salaam however I was still missing a pillow and blanket which I had to actively seek out. Seating was not very comfortable as there was a box attached to the leg of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to keep my feet at an uncomfortable angle through the long flight. I did not enjoy the food.

Since the flight was brand new not a lot of people knew about they're great deal. I bought a one way ticket to xiamen because I will be working a school teacher. I didn't realized til later on that it's possible for someone with a z visa to receive an extra 23kg check in baggage for free. I contacted the customer service who replied within a day and everything was fixed. Now, I've been travelling a good amount to China and US, so far the food that are good is xiamen airlines. It's healthy, not greasy, and my stomach didn't hurt.

For now ? Nothing. It's my first time riding this airline and I would definitely pick this than China southern or eastern airlines. I have been disappointed with them too many times.... food suck, cramped leg space, and an overabundance of delayed and cancelled flights. Need improvement: it would be nice if the flight attendant don't assume every Asian is Chinese. Over and over the flight attendants would suggest food options, snacks, and drinks in chinese. I understand this won't be the first nor would it be the last that someone would mistaken me as a native Chinese speaker. Overall, the whole experience was amazing!

Check In Agent said my ticket was incorrect? Had to go to about three different desks with very limited English. Had a baggage overage that I was happy to pay for but would have had to go to another desk to pay. Would have missed my flight. Hand carried 8 pieces of dry cleaning through the Airport. Not customer saavy or friendly.

787 Dreamliner's hardscape was new and clean. IFE was decent but had some anomalies (can't take off of pause unless you shut off screen, select same movie and resume). Food was fairly decent and plentiful. Think a cheap chinese diner & you've got it.

Crew was efficient but can't speak Englsh worth a nickel! While I have a limited ability in Mandarin (think 5yo vocab), the announcements in Engrish was almost as bad as some of the translations in many Chinese products. I pity the people who can't understand ANY Chinese: they could not possibly get most of the announcements. They should really get at least 1 FA that can speak and understand English. The signage in Xiamen (I was transiting from LAX to TPE) was amazingly poor and confusing. You basically stumble from 1 floor to another based on the signage. The airport was actually very large for what appears to be a medium size city.

I really like the spaciousness, the plug ins and general service

I have a dairy allergy but had no option to prepurchase a dairy free meal. It made for a very unenjoyable flight as I couldn't eat anything they had. What was worse was after I told them of my situation they said they understood and had a meal that would do but there was cheese, yogurt, milk chocolate, etc.

Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible.

Boarding seamed inefficient. Loaded handicap onto separate vehicle in middle of us boarding, so it stopped our process. My seat didn't recline even though it had a button. No in flight entertainment?! At all... Got a crappy breakfast omelet that i didn't want to put in my stomach.
