Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "What staff they do bother to hire try their best with the little they are given."
Cons: "Online chat confirmed I'd paid for a checked bag, but had to pay again. One check-in employee, long line. Flight gate changed abruptly. Much standing in line, as though all the chairs had been stolen."
Pros: "Flight itself was prompt and service was good; excellent value for the price!"
Cons: "Boarding through Luton airport was a disaster - endless traffic on the way in and poorly managed drop-off area. The security area was over-run with passengers, randomly cutting lines and overwhelming the minimal staff - it genuinely felt unsafe. The message boards directing passengers to the gate were hard to read and prompted a full-out sprint to the plane... only to find boarding was still continuing at a reasonable pace. The added stress of flying Ryanair through Luton will make me reconsider future travel plans."
Pros: "Overall ok...good and affordable...keep up the good amazing work"
Pros: "Everything went smoothly!"
Pros: "The crewmembers were all very pleasant, a feat considering they must deal with grumpy travellers a lot considering their horrible system."
Cons: "Had heard so many things about RyanAir from my European friends, that I had to give it a try. First, the line situation at the airport was horrible and not at all the sort of thing a business traveller would tolerate. The craziest of the multiple line system is that you stand in line to weigh your luggage and if it weighs too much, there's NO OPTION for you to pay for extra baggage without going to the end of a very long customer service line. I was travelling on holiday and so had no ability to print my boarding passes the night before. So they charged 15lb each for printed boarding passes (a third line) that were printed in such poor quality that they didn't work in the scan machines, sending us to the end of another line! Almost missed our flight, or so we thought, until we realized after sprinting through the airport that their boarding process would take a hour (no exaggeration) leading to a very delayed departure. We were stuck in a jetway platform with no updates for 40 minutes. All in all, I am surprised this airline survives in this competitive age. Their slogan of "low fare, made simple" must be someones idea of irony."
Pros: "I flew from London to Dublin out of Luton Airport. Crew was cordial and apologetic but there were technical issues which needed resolving and the captain seemed exasperated with not getting a response from his company. We were delayed for an hour. Then you have to pay for all beverage and any food. And the seats don't recline at all to fit as many on as possible. They didn't charge for carry-on, so that was good. But they will charge 15 pounds for not printing your boarding pass if you have to get it at the counter. The agent kindly waived the fee for me because I was a US traveler and couldn't print my pass or use my phone for my boarding pass. Lovely people but bare bones travel."
Pros: "The most efficient airline ever and the music they play when the plane lands is hilarious! They have a 90% on time rate and it shows."
Pros: "Quick flight"
Cons: "Customer service"
Cons: "Only two staff for all Ryan Air flights at check in, meant long queues taking a long time to clear. No information about what was happening meant lots of people in the queue were upset and worried about not getting on the plane. All it would have taken was someone from Ryan Air saying not to worry and I think people would be ok. But, as per their reputation, Ryan Air appeared not to care at all about their customers experience."
Pros: "Flight empty, crew good."
Pros: "Everything was okay."
Cons: "I requested for assistance, for my little brother ( 1st time in Uk) Now this days they don’t got one because of Covid 19"
Cons: "Everything good"
Pros: "Actually getting on board!"
Cons: "The fact that something was clearly wrong before we started to go outside and when it was raining we were left outside with no apology at all and when we boarded the communication/apologies were scant"
Pros: "For once the flight took off on time!"
Cons: "Seating was passable for a short flight. Seat allocation was random especially as the booking confirmation was done at the same time. Presumably this is now intentional so as to encourage you to pay the extra fee?"
Pros: "getting off"
Cons: "filthy plane, confused staff, cattle truck class. I bet people got comfier rides to aushvits. if only there were national carrier flying my route"
Cons: "Plane was late as most Ryanair flights in the afternoon are expected to be."
Cons: "My wife was not allowed to board the flight. because her passport expires in april, we was told by ryanair in a phone call that this would not be a problem, then when she tried to board she was refused. thanks ryanair you cost us a lot of money and caused a lot of stress. you just lost another customer. why not make it clear that a person needs 90 days on their passport if you are going to enforce these purile rules."
Cons: "Delayed an hour."
Pros: "Early arrival."
Cons: "Waiting in hallway and then tarmac to board."
Pros: "Nice peeps"
Cons: "Obnoxious passenger on board"
Cons: "Lateness and the waiting in the area to board with about 6 other flights in a small area with confusing announcements"
Pros: "All is great. Just tired after a long day...."
Pros: "Airport OK. Efficient service. On time arrival."
Cons: "Gate area bit narrow and clumsy. Walk to plane. Deposit your own bag on large trolley outside plane due to opportunistic charging policy of RyanAir. Seat basic no recline. No seat pockets. No wifi. Still paying £200 return.."
Pros: "we did not receive the boading check in pass even we did an online check in and end up we have to pay 55pounds extra"
Pros: "All is well"
Cons: "More destination"
Pros: "On time."
Pros: "The price. Period"
Cons: "Legroom non-existent. Sardines have more room in their can."
Pros: "The crew were really friendly and helpful. It was painless, quick, and easy :)"
Cons: "Delayed, no info, bad service on board"
Cons: "If we must have random allocated seats and be separated could it be at least boarding on same door. I use my Ryanair app for both of us for check in and it makes boarding chaotic when one is in front and the other at the back"
Pros: "It was very speedy and the crew were helpful, it was value for money."
Pros: "Very unorganized and discretion about what was a carry on bag differed. I was charged an extrodinary fee while others did not."
Cons: "The plane was faulty so we had to change aircrafts and ended up leaving 2.5hours later than scheduled"
Pros: "Cheap and got to Madrid 15 mins early. You get what you pay for."
Cons: "Early Sunday fligh... took 30 mins to queue from motorway to Stansted terminal. If were checking in bag there was a big queue too (I didn't need to). The slowest part was airport security, allow extra 20 minutes at least to get through. Did priority boarding so we didn't queue to board and sat together and had room for our bags (some ended up at feet or in hold)"
Cons: "6 hour delay. 5 euro voucher - that could only buy water. But worse than that was the staff on board. Their rudeness was beyond belief. They: - Stood next to me and bitched about their job and people on board the flight - Laughed about a girl in front of me and her weight - Yelled at me for having my laptop open at the start of our decent (rather than ask me to close it) - Did not apologies once for the delay (which meant I missed a family members birthday) A formal complaint will be written."
Pros: "The air crew were excellent"
Cons: "Communications around boarding and gates was chaotic and our take off was delayed for over an hour. Staff were rude and unhelpful. They seemed confused themselves and found it difficult to communicate anything helpful to passengers"
Cons: "They took my cabin luggage to the cargo even though it is the right size due to no more space in over head compartment and I believe if they where strict about the size with the All Pax and only allowed one price each in the hand the compartments would have been sufficient. You need to make sure to ask pax to be at check in desk 2 hrs before dept during peak periods due to security takes longer time make the story short I was happy with the above all standards Abdullah Benafif."
Cons: "Allocation of seats saw my wife in 5c and myself in 31d. 31e was vacant."
Pros: "Still have not left London"
Pros: "There is nothing to like about flying RyanAir"
Cons: "No legroom, seats are cramped. £100 for 1x 20kg bag and £56 to reserve 2 seats. £2 payment charge in order for me to give them money... No entertainment Delayed inexplicably for an hour on the taxiway - no reason given. There aren't even seat-back pockets. Truly awful flight."
Pros: "Ryanair compares well with a lot more expensive airlines. It's not perfect by any means but it offers excellent value for money."
Pros: "The flight was on time"
Cons: "The boarding, I had priority boarding pass..I was so confused where to go"
Pros: "Check in online"
Cons: "Seat comfort was not good. No recline and no seat pocket. No frills I guess"
Pros: "legs space"
Cons: "Everyone, EVERYTHING, horrible customer service!!!"
Pros: "Just everything was so easy and straight forward. No issues and no hassles"
