Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
"Never happened. Flight was canceled"
Pros: "Friendly and courteous"
Cons: "Like that is good"
Cons: "Fly on time"
Pros: "Spacious plane."
Pros: "The crew on board seemed efficient and friendl for this short 2.5 hour flight."
Cons: "No food, no drink, no entertainment were included with this fare. Thankfully we were so exhausted from the long haul flight immediate preceding this flight that we did not care. I'm not sure why but the gate staff was trying to get everyone to check their smaller bags including our backpacks. My husband gave in but I did not since not having them would be disaster during this trip. His backpack and many bags from other customers came about 15 minutes after the rest of the luggage so we were a little panicked. Thankfully all turned out fine."
Cons: "Were not there to rate but someone paid you an extra fare so you made double the money on one 2 seats! BRAVO Standing Ovation!!!"
Pros: "Finally arriving in Spain."
Cons: "The seats are extremely small cramped and I had to sit with my legs in the aisle. The flight attendants didn’t care about seat assignments so they put people wherever they wanted, causing issues when those people were in others seats. No in flight entertainment (zero stars). No complimentary snacks; had to pay for everything. Decent selection of food. The entry attendants were inconsistent with hand luggage size and took my correctly size soft bag to check but allowed larger hard luggage on the plane."
Pros: "Quick boarding"
Cons: "The lack of water offers during the flight"
Pros: "The flight was on time."
Cons: "The plane was in bad shape, dirty and the seats were very worn out. There was no entertainment."
Pros: "Left on time."
Cons: "Plane is extremely old and should be put to sleep. Business class on this plane means younger an empty middle seat and narrow standard seats. Not worth it for business, check airplane model before you book."
Pros: "More space since there wasn't people"
Cons: "Paying for food"
Pros: "Price to fly on this airline is very reasonable and affordable. I would fly on on this airline just for that reason alone."
Cons: "Seats are VERY small and squished together."
Cons: "There were delays at Heathrow due to fog. Rather then backing up all planes by an hour or so, BA gave our plane away. We experienced a 6 plus hour delay. So after flying for nine hours from the U.S. overnight to London, we had to sit around the airport, while watching other planes take off on time. We got in so late to Madrid that our hotel room that we reserved months earlier was given away. After being awake for over 24 hours we had to walk around Madrid at 11:00 pm at night, looking for someplace to lay our weary heads."
Cons: "the employees at the airport were rude (flight attendants were great) & the airline changed our gate twice in the 20 minutes before the flight. everyone on the connection in from London had to run to the new gate, only to have to wait in line for a bus. completely ridiculous."
Pros: "The captain and the entire crew handled an accident very professionally. Seats in economy class were much more comfortable than the ones on my previous, rotten BA52 flight."
Cons: "We get to the runway, wait 10 minutes and go back to the terminal. The captain announces an engine failure. Maintenance inspects the leaking engine, do something and declare it fixed. 2 hours delay and my nerves a bit shaken during take off. We arrived safely."
Pros: "The discomfort of the cramped seating overshadows everything"
Cons: "This was the 3rd time I had to take Iberia coach in Europe in 4 week. As horrible as the first 2 times. The rows are too close to each other. I can not sit straight. My knees hit the seat in front of me. I was not the only one measuring more than 6 feet. Other men equally were obliged to sit sort of diagonally. It a real torture. Horrible. Never again."
Cons: "Entertainment Screens did not work. Charged for drinks."
Pros: "Seats were comfortable. Smooth take off and landing."
Cons: "No free drinks, and I had to flag down a crew member to buy the €2.50 bottle of orange juice; even then I had to remind him before he brought it! We had little time between flights, and had to empty water bottles at Security before boarding but forgot to refill them, so we really noticed the lack of beverages."
Cons: "Small plane. Poor landing."
Pros: "The plane arrived safely, it will get you where you want to go."
Cons: "Like everyone says, you are cattle jammed in a sardine can. Barely any leg room and I’m 5’3. Other thoughts: the plane was old, my seat had a lump in it, zero entertainment, food was over priced. (3 Euro for a tiny water). This may seem petty but ultimately the appearance and function of the plane represents their company as a whole. From my first impressions, I’m thinking as a passenger is: I just hope the age and appearance of the plane isn’t reflective of their repairs and maintenance work as well."
Pros: "No vegetarian option available"
Cons: "I got to airport and it wasn't operated by iberia as I had been told. Instead one part was operated by American Airlines in the second part of my flight is operated by British Airways which involved a 30 minute walk and train ride through the airport"
Pros: "a non event flight - meal was ok, flight attendants helpful"
Cons: "airport in london - waited for hours to find which gate to used - sent us across to the wrong side and then only 40 minutest to board and we were running to take underground rail back to other side and find correct gate."
Pros: "A really big and nice dinner, followed by bloody mary. An ice cream was served some hours later, followed by a nice breakfast sandwich and cake before landing. All this on an evening flight from London, ending in NYC before midnight."
Cons: "An option to cover up all the screens and lights..Blue light especially prevent sleep. I was half asleep on the subway home."
Pros: "The seat was comfortable."
Cons: "All snacks and beverages appeared to be at cost. No in-flight entertainment. My traveling companion's luggage was never delivered to our destination and really made for a less enjoyable trip (since she had to purchase everything anew, as well as having to repeatedly contact the airline to check on the bag - receiving multiple inaccurate stories as to what happened). It makes me far less likely to fly or recommend this airline again. Luggage tracking should be a very simple process."
Pros: "Wide bodied aircraft"
Cons: "No free drinks or snacks"
Pros: "Crew were really nice and polite"
Cons: "No entertainment, I can't believe how close the seats are to each other. I'm not a very tall person and my knees were hitting the front seat constantly (and the kness of the passenger seating behind me of course)"
Pros: "It got me there"
Cons: "Seats were so tight that you had to fold yourself into the rows and your knees were hitting the seat back in front of you. They charged for any food OR drink - NO free beverage service at all."
Pros: "The british flight to Madrid was overall very good"
Cons: "Also delayed"
Cons: "Delayed flight, no AC, no food service (even to purchase)"
Cons: "Cramped by ok"
Pros: "Quick pickup of baggage."
Pros: "Good service"
Pros: "We didn't crash."
Cons: "No priority lane for frequent flyers at MAD, no lounge at IBZ to use if your return is on BA (thought that was the same company?) Rude employees. Flight still not credited to AA 6 months later."
Pros: "Seats were surprisingly good, even though we could only get two center seats. There were no available business class seats, but now I'm glad I saved the expense as the economy seating was quite comfortable. They took good care of us with food and comfort, and the time passes with plenty of movies to watch."
Cons: "Can't help it, but Heathrow is just so big, and requires extensive walking, bussing from one terminal to another, then underground trains, and waiting at the C gates which don't offer the range of restaurants that the main terminal does. But we had 2 1/2 hours to make the connection and there was plenty of time with baggage checked through."
Pros: "These were actually American Airline Flights 90 and 89. I really had a very good experience with American and though they tend to be more expensive they seem to be worth it in terms of comfort and amenities. I am willing to spend the extra money on Anerican if they continue to provide better than average service."
Cons: "I was wondering why I paid Iberia for an American Airline ticket. I wondered if this was some way to avoid paying taxes by funneling an US registered corporation fees through a Spanish registered corporation. It didn't make sense to me. I'm not a huge fan of legal games to avoid responsibilities. Still, very good flights."
Cons: "The plan was dirty inside when we board, it was not cleaned"
Pros: "Very cheap flight, they fed us a lot on the flight including ice cream and lots of leg room."
Pros: "747 has smaller cabins so even economy doesn't feel like cattle class."
Cons: "Standard food choices poor, chicken ran out after 5 rows. Mushroom risotto unrecognizable. Worth paying for an upgraded meal. Drinks service woeful, only 1 or 2 at seat services on 9.5 hour flight."
Cons: "Baggage lost."
Pros: "I made it to Chicago"
Cons: "This was American Airlines, not Iberia. I paid $120 to upgrade my seat to row 17 so I could get off the plane early and make my connection. I was ticketed to row 37 without any notice and was told it was not possible to change. All I can do it request a refund from American. My screen did not work and I could not watch anything on the flight."
Pros: "Nice plane, good entertainment"
Cons: "We never had the option to reserve seats. Not sure if this was because we booked thru kayak or if it was the airline but this was a long flight and I would have paid(although not happily) to get to sit next to my husband. As it was, we both got center seats separated on the plane. Very inconvenient and very uncomfortable."
Pros: "good movies, lots to choose from."
Cons: "paid extra for exit row seating for my husband and me. His seat did not recline so he had to move to an ordinary cramped seat. It was a bit of a rip-off."
Pros: "Paid for main cabin extra and due to weather delays c"
Pros: "Excellent service from flight crew (polite, helpful, enthusiastic, friendly), descent legroom, seat comfort was descent, clean well maintained restrooms."
Cons: "Antiquated aircraft, too little space between seats (side-to-side), poor image quality on screen of entertainment system (too old), lack of individual air nozzles, weak air-conditioning system (flight was full and aircraft was too warm throughout flight)."
Pros: "Although flight delayed 3 hrs, crew kept us informed and offered food vouchers during the wait."
Pros: "Good free entertainment options and friendly staff."
Cons: "Uncomfortable, tight seating."
Pros: "Crew was outstanding. Flight was early, which is nice. Nice to have food service, but better choices could have been offered."
Cons: "The plane is old and needs to be updated with WI FI and USB ports."
