Flights from the United States to Europe: the best tips from KAYAK users

Insights shared by verified travellers who flew the route from the United States to Europe
NandiniFlew with Lufthansa-Aug 2026
Worth paying for the extra legroom in economy. The regular economy seating in UA is too cramped for a long haul flight
TonyFlew with ITA Airways-Jun 2026
Get there early, at least 3hrs. so you can have a relaxed experience.
Verified travelerFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2026
Download your boarding pass before getting to the airport.
Verified travelerFlew with Iberia-Jun 2026
It takes about 45 to 50 minutes to get from Madrid’s terminal 4S to The “K” gates in Madrid’s terminal 4 if you have to do passport control and bag/security screening.
Verified travelerFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2026
Brussels makes foreigners take a lane different from locals. the local lane is very fast. The foreigner line can take hours. Mentally prepare and plan accordingly.
JonathonFlew with Aer Lingus-Jul 2026
Don’t sit on the inside seat during a lay flat flight. Don’t order the beef short ribs, they’re kinda fatty, and chewy.. Try all the whiskey.
Verified travelerFlew with SWISS-Jun 2026
Check the recline of your seat and the seat in front of you to make sure you don’t get crushed/crush anyone.
MarkFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2026
Order your choice of food in advance on the website. Take snacks as supplement as onboard food is inadequate
RoyaFlew with Lufthansa-Jun 2026
Give yourself enough time if you have connecting flight cause emigration takes about 1 hr by itself
Verified travelerFlew with Condor-Aug 2026
Allow extra time for connections in Franfurt. We barely made our connecting flight.
GabrielFlew with Condor-Jun 2026
Bring your own food, show up a couple hours early and be prepared.
Verified travelerFlew with Condor-Jun 2026
Frankfurt airport was very disappointing. We had a connecting flight and had to go through another round of security where every second bag was set aside for extra inspection. It took 20 minutes to get it done, we almost missed our flight and nobody cared. No air conditioning at the airport and the restrooms were out of toilet paper. Not enough seating at boarding considering the sizes of the planes flying out.
KarenFlew with Lufthansa-Jul 2026
I wish I'd know how big the airport was so I couldn't have booked assistance since I've got asthma. It was not good rushing through in the heat trying to get to the gate in an unformilliar airport.
RobertFlew with United Airlines-Jun 2026
Be prepared to pay for luggage when you buy your ticket and be charged again at the terminal.
Verified travelerFlew with Qatar Airways-May 2026
There is a bagge holding at the Barcelona Aiport (BCN) for 19 euro per bag per day. I was able to leave during my long layover and explore the city and then come back to the aiport without any trouble. The security at the airport is relaxed but still feels safe.
BabuFlew with United Airlines-May 2026
If you want to get into a lounge, I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time if you can. Otherwise, you have to get there, scan some code and then get in a queue. Everywhere you go you have to wait. Just be ready for that.
Verified travelerFlew with Turkish Airlines-May 2026
Turkish airlines was very generous in baggage allowances. You do have to pay attention to the weight limits, but we were allowed a personal item, a carry-on, and two checked bags per person.
Verified travelerFlew with United Airlines-Apr 2026
Make sure your flight has more than three hours as layover if you’re connecting to another flight.
KenFlew with Lufthansa-May 2026
Get a good blow up seat cushion if traveling in economy
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Mar 2026
Take early morning flights to adjust to weather-related delays.
PamFlew with American Airlines-Mar 2026
Book premium economy. The extra comfort is worth it.
DonnaFlew with United Airlines-May 2026
Most overseas flights to Europe are tedious. I try to eat a little lighter the day before to stay comfortable. Also I like a neck pillow and eye coverings. We've flown on many different airlines and out of a few different airports. This flight with United went smooth, no delays. Food could be improved and flight attendants could smile a little more.
MichaelFlew with Delta-May 2026
We like Delta, Alaska and American. Be prepared for a bit of a trek from your arrival gate to Customs and outside services. Heathrow doesn't rank high on my list of major airports.
Verified travelerFlew with Aer Lingus-Apr 2026
Make sure to double and triple check that the flight you book actually exists before going to the airport.
RebeccaFlew with TAP AIR PORTUGAL-Apr 2026
Flight was full and they made me check my bag, so come prepared to do so.
MaryFlew with Icelandair-May 2026
The flight arrives in CDG terminal 1 which is pretty far away from the train station.
Verified travelerFlew with Scandinavian Airlines-May 2026
Don’t sit in bulkhead seats, that’s where baby bassinets are attached and babies are situated
RafiqFlew with Delta-May 2026
Get to MXP airport at least 4 hours earlier if flying to the USA.
SteveFlew with Turkish Airlines-Mar 2026
Bring your own water as they do not offer drinks except for meal time.
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2026
Heathrow is too gigantic to have less than 2 hours of layover time.
Verified travelerFlew with United Airlines-May 2026
check your reservation often to make sure your choices are still there.
Verified travelerFlew with Turkish Airlines-Mar 2026
Istanbul airport is a big airport. Be ready to walk
Verified travelerFlew with United Airlines-Apr 2026
Bring your own entertainment. Prepare for cramped seating.
TaniaFlew with British Airways-Apr 2026
Heathrow airport has become one of the worst airports. Way too massive, like Amsterdam's, way too much walking & navigating. Better have 3 hours for connections and prepare to walk for HALF OF THAT time. LHR was 1 of the best airports 60 yrs ago. Don't expect it to stay same but now its a nightmare. For older folks I suggest using a less massive airport in UK and for American Airlines to do same.
NancyFlew with Icelandair-Apr 2026
Be careful of your carry-on bags and bring your own food! Also bring a cushion to sit on. This is worse than spirit airlines!
DarleneFlew with British Airways-Mar 2026
Plan on a crazy, crowded experience in terminal 3! Find a resturarant to camp in to remove yourself from the pandamonium
Verified travelerFlew with Turkish Airlines-May 2026
Don't book through a 3rd party thats incapable of assigning seats yet will charge for it.
ChristineFlew with Lufthansa-May 2026
The lines at Frankfurt were ridiculously long. Give yourself plenty of time.
Verified travelerFlew with SWISS-Dec 2025
Bring sleeping pills. Tylenol PM or Benadryl. That one with your meal. Fall asleep in 30 mins. Wear a warm jacket and you will sleep most of your flight and wake up refreshed.. There are little "wings" on the seat headrest you can pull forward to keep your head upright for a good sleep. Put your phone on low power mode for the flight. too.
SunnyFlew with Finnair-Jan 2026
Pack comfortably, read the baggage guidelines, and order in flight amenities ahead of time if you can.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Dec 2025
Jst take one cashing bag no checked luggage-so much easier
MarilynFlew with British Airways-Feb 2026
Meeting a friend at Heathrow was difficult as there are many terminals so far apart. Access to the train was great and an easy way to get to the downtown area.
Jr.Flew with Iberia-Jan 2026
The biggest issue would be departure time. Try to catch a flight 5-7pm, as that would keep you on a good sleep pattern as you try to adjust.
LisaFlew with Aer Lingus-Dec 2025
Look at Jet Blue and Delta. May be a bit more expensive but keep an eye out for fare reductions and book early.
ShilpaFlew with TAP AIR PORTUGAL-Dec 2025
Seats were comfortable- vegetarian meal was pretty mehhh- maybe pack your own meal
Verified travelerFlew with Lufthansa-Jan 2026
Sadly since I never could reschedule that flight I don’t know but maybe when possible allow more than a 2 hour layover if there is a possibility of bad weather.
PawanFlew with Lufthansa-Jan 2026
Food- be specific if you dont want to eat Meat. And the vegetarian choices are really bad. Pack exact 23 KG/ 50 LB or else you have to pay
Verified travelerFlew with Iberia-Jan 2026
Buy your flight directly from the airline because the cancellation process is purgatory
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Nov 2025
Sit at the back near the toilets and the food service, you’ll get served quicker lol x
Verified travelerFlew with Turkish Airlines-Nov 2025
If you have food allergies best take your own food on the flight. Take some kind of snack.
ZacharyFlew with Scandinavian Airlines-Nov 2025
Buy out a row so you have room to sleep.
ReinhardFlew with Scandinavian Airlines-Nov 2025
Don’t travel with checked luggage when booking tickets with stopovers
AndieFlew with JetBlue-Jul 2025
Don’t take a taxi to the city. There is a local bus that has a route with several stops all the way to Taxsim for &6 per person. It’s downstairs where the charter buses line up and you pay at the bus!
GeraldFlew with Virgin Atlantic-Jun 2025
Virgin Atlantic uses terminal 3. Much faster clearing customs than terminal 5
Verified travelerFlew with Lufthansa-Jun 2025
Wearing comfortable clothing is really important. ( it’s a long flight)
Mary MargaretFlew with Aer Lingus-Jun 2025
Some people may be required to check their carryon bags, depending on flight, plane size, check-in crew, etc. Also, taller people should purchase aisle seats.
Verified travelerFlew with Aer Lingus-Jul 2025
Whatever airline you choose, spring for a class with more leg and overall body room than economy (or whatever the cheapest class is called).
himanshuFlew with Aer Lingus-Jun 2025
Eat and drink before boarding. Snacks. Hand gel and surface wipes . Don't expect a window if in a window row.
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Jun 2025
Make sure you do not need the transit visa.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Jun 2025
Get a wheel chair if you have difficulty walking
GalFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2025
Try and bring your own water on board
PatrickFlew with Delta-Jun 2025
Be prepared for a very confusing time in Schipol airport where directional signage is not helpful. In one visit our group had to be escorted to the particular carrier’s desk as we were told we’d not be able to find it ourselves.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Jun 2025
Pay for your bags at time of arrival and not through a third party site, they will rip you off!
DorothyFlew with United Airlines-May 2025
Fly late at night so you arrive later in the morning and can have a better chance of encountering less traffic if you take a taxi from CDG to Paris. Another alternative is the RER-B which is located in Terminal 2. There are easy ways to get to Term 2 from Term 1 or 3. The ticket machines are located in the train station.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-May 2025
Heathrow has good signage. There are lots of people going to the same terminal waiting for the train. Be patient and when you have connecting flights choose a 2-hour layover.
LisaFlew with British Airways-May 2025
Make sure you have enough time in London if you have a transfer flight. I would recommend at least 2 hours.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Apr 2025
Be ready for checking luggage and going through security. We did and sailed right through.
Verified travelerFlew with Iberia-May 2025
Get to the airport early so you’re relaxed. Con yourself into believing it’s bedtime and try to sleep so that you can keep going all day when you get there. If you can afford more comfy seats it might be worth it - though I always have the cheap ones so I can’t say for sure. Try very hard not to. sit in the middle. I’m small and the guy next to me played games all night and didn’t care that he continually ( with every move) jabbed me with his arm. This was my first flight with Cheap Flights and it was far less convenient than other times I’ve flown overseas.
RadicalFlew with American Airlines-May 2025
Don’t put everything in your gate check bags. Make sure you have clothes in your carry on
Verified travelerFlew with Brussels Airlines-Mar 2025
Wear comfortable clothes, use the bathroom a few times, and try to get plenty of sleep.
MichaelFlew with Lufthansa-Mar 2025
Get seats in a back, more chances to get empty seat next to you
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Apr 2025
Make sure you have plenty of time between flights if you are delayed.
Verified travelerFlew with Iberia-May 2025
Take a pillow you can sleep on and rest.
JamesFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2025
Try to avoid Heathrow! Not the most convenient to get into London unless you have a driver. Also, Heathrow needs better signs on where to go to exit and better wifi for foreign travelers.
Verified travelerFlew with Lufthansa-Dec 2024
Lufthansa was an excellent experience, everything well organized and on time. If you desire healthy snacks, that I would advise bringing them with you. This is pretty much what happens everywhere.
Verified travelerFlew with Lufthansa-Dec 2024
Bring some thing with you for seat padding. And check in and get seat assignments as soon as you are allowed to pick them
TFlew with Scandinavian Airlines-Jan 2025
Don’t forget you can pinch and slide the headrest up and down for maximum sleeping comfort.
TressaFlew with Lufthansa-Dec 2024
Make your layover longer because you will need it for all the walking at Heathrow
Verified travelerFlew with Turkish Airlines-Jan 2025
It’s a long flight. Find the most comfortable travel pillow it helps a lot.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Feb 2025
Don’t take a flight if you sick, or if you have no choice prepare to stay covered with mask throughout the flight
Jose AntonioFlew with TAP AIR PORTUGAL-Dec 2024
If you have connections make sure they are at least tree hours from your landing time
DinaFlew with United Airlines-Jan 2025
Anticipate delays, prepare for long walks through Heathrow to baggage claim or for connections.
Verified travelerFlew with Austrian Airlines-Jan 2025
For families, don’t expect your strollers to arrive at the airplane’s door.
Verified travelerFlew with SWISS-Sept 2024
Bring a neck pillow and a heavy sweater bc it does get cold. I used the blanket for my legs. Also: get a seat in the aisle.
JenFlew with Air Caraïbes-Sept 2024
Bring snacks! Might also want to bring a seat cushion. Spend lots of time thinking about how happy you are that you got a cheap ticket!
Verified travelerFlew with Turkish Airlines-Sept 2024
Istanbul airport is huge with lots of duty free and shopping options. Limited food choice. And if you are on budget, pack your food in advance as everything is si darn expensive. They primarily take Euro .
Jean-LouisFlew with Lufthansa-Oct 2024
If flying business class look for seats towards the front of aircraft. Sleeper seats are comfortable but nothing like Deltas current Business Class configuration.
Verified travelerFlew with Austrian Airlines-Oct 2024
Cost was reasonable. Crew was efficient and kind. Air terminal in Vienna is easy to navigate. Wish there were better food options.
Verified travelerFlew with United Airlines-Sept 2024
Be prepared to wait in long line for boarder control. Allow enough time for your layover
SanjayFlew with Lufthansa-Sept 2024
Golden rule for connecting flights in & out of Europe. Minimum 3 hour layover.
AnastasiaFlew with Lufthansa-Sept 2024
Keep plenty of time for security searches, they are unpredictable.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Oct 2024
Eat well before boarding if you’re a picky eater.
PartinFlew with Austrian Airlines-Nov 2024
Make sure to leave plenty of room for layovers
Verified travelerFlew with Emirates-Nov 2024
Pack snacks in case they’re only given dinner
Verified travelerFlew with Austrian Airlines-Oct 2024
This Austrian 787-9 plane has very uncomfortable seats. Extremely tight space in economy class. If you can, upgrade to premium economy. Do not select seats close to the restrooms. The plane only has two restrooms center cabin and there’s always a line of people waiting to use the restrooms.
BradFlew with Iberia-Oct 2024
Make sure to book your own seats and don’t leave it up to someone else. We were supposed to have window and aisle seats and did not. We had to sit in the middle of the plane which is cramped and difficult to move let alone eat.
TapanFlew with British Airways-Oct 2024
Great baggage policy in BA.. The worst part was experience at London Heathrow airport. Security was slow, too many people. Almost lost connecting flight even with 2 hours layover.
RuthFlew with United Airlines-Oct 2024
Facial recognition seemed to slow boarding down, not speed it up. Why don’t airlines board from the back to the front? That would certainly speed things up!
EllenFlew with British Airways-Oct 2024
Do not check your bag if at all possible, especially if you have a connecting flight. Your bag will not make it.
RachelFlew with American Airlines-Nov 2024
London Heathrow is absolutely disorganized. You need 2 hours between flights at a minimum.
RolandoFlew with British Airways-Jun 2024
Purchase one of the memory foam pillows you will not regret it. They provide one for you but it’s fairly small. Try to keep your personal item small so that you have as much room as possible for your legs.
OzzyFlew with French Bee-Aug 2024
Pack light, a carry on is perfect for a week in Paris and you’ll save time by not waiting for your baggage. Also Orly airport is not as busy and has convenient transportation to all places
Verified travelerFlew with Lufthansa-Aug 2024
The 747-8 had a galley where you could order food and drinks outside the normal schedule. Very convenient if you have an aisle seat.
Verified travelerFlew with Lufthansa-Aug 2024
Be early rather than on time for unexpected delays. The amount of travelers during the summer can be intense
Verified travelerFlew with French Bee-Jun 2024
If you have the space, pack your own food, just make sure it’s not smelly.
Verified travelerFlew with Iberia-Jul 2024
Spend the money to get Global Entry that’s it
jacquelineFlew with ITA Airways-Aug 2024
bring comfy clothes and a good neck pillow
keithFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2024
Regardless of Munich as a final destination or connection, you need to go through passport control, which was not organanized well. I had a connecting flight 90 min after landing, and I barely made it. The line for Passport control had about 500 people in front of me. Be prepared for this when booking if you have a connecting flight.
ChadFlew with American Airlines-Jul 2024
Absolutely get in the earliest boarding position possible if you want to get your carryon luggage on board. If you are over 6’0’ invest in a a quality medical plan for chiropractic care or consider setting appointments with your health care professionals prior to the trip to ensure you can get help when returning.
Verified travelerFlew with Turkish Airlines-Jul 2024
Wear compression socks. If you are really tall get the seat with extra legroom Istanbul airport is hugeeeeee so be prepared and verify that you have enough time between flights if you are connecting Things are more expensive and they accept US$ but obviously charge at the euro rate
HashemFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2024
I don’t think any airline has the best boarding. Maybe American Airlines has the most comfortable and up-to-date airplanes. Always go super early to any airport leave an apple AirTag in your bag always ask Agent if your chair and or seat will be properly working
Lei-SeaFlew with Icelandair-Aug 2024
KEF is not like American airport, not a lot of seating and gate is announced when boarding starts so be prepared to move quickly. Food is good in airport and lots of seating around the food areas.
Verified travelerFlew with Lufthansa-Jul 2024
Your airlines was convent to travel on but should try to go directly through your airlines to avoid extra extra fees and charges by third parties. Can you book flights directly at airport for future flights?
Verified travelerFlew with ITA Airways-Jul 2024
Pack light as they only allow one carry-on weighing 17 lbs or less. Economy seats are typical in that they are smaller with not much leg room and only tilt back to 120 degrees
Verified travelerFlew with Iberia-Aug 2024
American boards the front of the airplane first so there wasn't very much room in the overhead bins by the time the people in the back of the airline boarded.
MedaFlew with Lufthansa-Jun 2024
Make sure your passport isn’t expiring within 6 months of your flight. Check in online. And get an e visa
CraigFlew with United Airlines-Jun 2024
Get to beginning of boarding group early. Bring as little on board as possible due to small overhead bin space.
RobertFlew with American Airlines-Jul 2024
Take later flight in evening so passengers more tir e and sleeping. Get your own food before flight.
DouglasFlew with ITA Airways-Aug 2024
Check out the aircraft used, seat comfort, and quality of meal service, especially in business class.

PaulFlew with British Airways-Apr 2024
Bring your own wired headphones and two pin 3.5mm adapter if you want a decent sound experience from the in flight entertainment. If you're vegetarian, there will be an option in flight - no need to order through your booking before the trip.
Verified travelerFlew with Lufthansa-Apr 2024
If you don't have checked luggage, no need to be in a rush to line up. There will be a spot for your little carry-on rollie bag, so relax until the line is down to board the plane.

Be prepared to not have WiFi. The plane itself was a nice comfortable plane. The service from the crew is excellent. I always bring my own headset during a flight, so I would suggest doing that.

Pay extra for a little better seating. Definitely worth it

Connections can take some time to figure out at LHR. They often don’t assign connecting gate till just before boarding. So be ready for that.

Weigh bags. They will check. Check in with gate or desk. Sometimes the e ticket will not work for boarding.

Always check to confirm your assistance is in system. No wheelchair waiting for me in London. Had no clue about airport or how to get around. Got lost easy

Make sure your toiletries are travel size. Check in for your flight extra early, and dress warmly, because Paris can be brutally cold in the winter.

Dress appropriate for the season and be comfortable, arrive early for checking in case there are unexpected changes or delays.

Try to find flights with layovers of two hours or more To prevent missing connecting flights.

Put some media on your phone and iPad...the wifi worked on the way there but not the way home...its finicky (unless u pay for it). There aren't that many options for the player in front of you. Also bring your own headphones with the appropriate jack that can plug in, they may not have one for passengers for free. Food is good but they may run out of what you want.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Jan 2024
Leave plenty of time if connecting in London as most connecting flights are in a different terminal which requires a bus or tram ride. Also if you’re not at the gate 30 minutes ahead they will not let you on the plane. Apparently this is a Heathrow not airline rule.
Verified travelerFlew with Turkish Airlines-Feb 2024
Don’t pay extra for assigned seats, they will put you wherever they can, Eat less than 1/2 the food they bring. Drink more water. If you plan to use your noise canceling headphones, the still use the older 2 pron outlets, bring your old adapter!

I think I previously submitted my feedback about flight lead Katherine in a different field by mistake. Please see those comments. Comments for Hyd to AMS are it was good. The flight lead and service met expectations for satisfactory high quality service but the flight lead did not stand out as exceptional as did the leads on the other two flights so I don’t remember anything specific one way or the other besides the fact I was satisfied.

Had to cancel and rebook, KLM connection was cancelled prior to departure, ended up flying to Munich on non-Delta carrier.

The crew were unprofessional with a racist element. I was physically abused as well from one of the crew members

They forgot to serve food and the crew was very unfriendly. Never experienced such a bad KLM flight. Usually fly from Toronto. New York was different.

Over 1 Hr delay. No APU so no AC on ground. Plane was hot during boarding and then they closed the doors over 20 minutes before engine start so interior of plane was steamy hot and stuffy. Could have been helped by opening doors until ready to depart.

My flight was delayed by 6 hours then I missed BOTH of my connecting flights, I then had to stay in the AIRPORT at JFK because soooooo many people also suffered from missing flights and there was no hotels available. I would like to be compensated for this experience! I had to stay in the airport for over 16 hours!

Cabin crew were excellent, very proffesional, polite and friendly, in flight snack was underwhelming, a packet of cheese biscuits, im sure KLM could run to a sandwich!

Overall very positive. Boarding was quick and organized. Cabin was clean and seats were reasonably comfortable. Cabin crew was excellent and the meals provided were also of good quality

This fight left ahead of time which meant it arrived early which was great. Staff were very professional, but as with all these Short hop Flights the food was a disappointing snack There was no entertainment on this flight, but I did not expect any

Transfer at CDG to connecting KLM flight to Amsterdam was a NIGHTMARE. LONG WALKWAYS, NO MOVING WALKWAYS, POOR signage, Have to take a train & No staff visible to help navigate the maze. AVOID TRANSFER AT CDG AT ALL COST.

Check in at the desk was very slow pus Security, although not Virgin issue at JFK was a nightmare. 50 minuet wait no time to explore airport and get last minuet gifts. total wait 1.5hours

Seating and zone. The minor I went with didn’t even seat close to me

Great staff great experience, made a 2 hour delay very bearable

Great staff, great experience, made a 2 hour delay very bearable

I was my pleasure to fly virgin on my birthday for my first solo trip ever 🫶🏼

Overall, flight was excellent but check in was very slow for Premium Economy. Economy queue was shorter but we weren't allowed to use it.

The crew was excellent as ever on Virgin. The special meal was poor unfortunately. More significantly when we arrived at Manchester Airport there was no air bridge provided and we had to exit the plane down a rickety stair case. This is unacceptable for a transatlantic flight. Whilst I understand that this is the airport’s fault at the end of the day the airline is responsible for our transportation and needs to do something.

Super friendly and helpful staff, from check-in desk to cabin crew.

Good overall. Cannot fault the airlines. I have had better entertainment systems before ie ice in Emirates but it was not too bad. Food was decent and staff were friendly.

Miami airport needs more thorough signage. It was a long walk from my transport point to the check in desk,

Old 757 with poor entertainment system. United no longer partners with United for free text and email. O'Hara an absolute disaster! Limited gates clauses two hour delay. Unfortunately this appears to be the norm.

The flight to America was freezing. The overnight flight back to the UK was boiling hot and the cabin stank of toilet or occasionally perfume, even though I was several rows back from either bathroom. Food was tiny portions. Two small pieces of tough and dry beef in random gravy with pretend mashed potato raking up most of it. Very little veg. Salad was ok. Wooden cutlery broke within minutes of using. Lots of old films for entertainment. Some new ones. Generally a bit rubbish.

It was a good experience, unfortunately my checked baggages were come late and not arrived on time.

Very stressful to locate United Airline boarding area, delayed flight, changing boarding area again to another location with all tiredness 😩. But flying was fine.

Staff and flight attendants were very polite. Flight was smooth. My seat on the plane was a bit broken so it would not stay in upright position but it was fine for the most part.

Flight staff and all was fine. Food always sucks on planes so nothing new.

The flight crew were very helpful. The seats were very close together. There was barely room to sit without touching the person next to you.

I’m an EP on AA every year for more than a decade but this was a very pleasant and surprising experience. Clean and sizable plane for HOU to CHI. 5 row first class. And excellent food in first class the steak option was really good. Your flight attendants even better. Seat 5A

It was hot and not as comfortable as the flight to Chicago. Must have been a different plane that needs to be worked on or replaced.

My flight was delayed so bad i missed u it so i just said never mind

Awful customer service. What you are told 100% depends on who you talk to.

I love flying with them, the long-haul was fantastic. The short flight from Dublin --> Switzerland was horrible though. Most narrow seats I ever had, first and only time in my life I couldn't even close the seatbelt in seat 1A which was very embarrassing so I had to sit in the middle, because that seatbeld was 20cm longer. No idea why seat 1A would have a much shorter belt, it's just ridicilous. Also I hate the fixed seats, way too narrow.

Food was mediocre, but as expected in economy class on an airline. Wrap was ice cold , my son’s served by a steward on the next aisle was warm . As expected, but at least heat the food up a bit. No frills, but it’s economy. Excellent free WiFi was a bonus

I flew Aer Lingus Business class for the first time. Having flown economy a few times, I was familiar with the airline, and happy enough with economy. I’ve certainly been in nicer economy airlines before, but Aer Lingus is usually very reasonable, and I find the staff to be kind and have an Irish sense of humor and accommodation. The business experience was good, in that you got superior service to the back, lay down seats, better food and drinks, and more attentive service. However, the plane was a bit older, the WiFi was slow(not Starlink) and the pods were too close to one another for privacy, or function. When the Oder lady to the left of me fell asleep(fully reclined) there was no way for me to escape without having to wake her and put her seat all the way up. That lead to me being stuck with luggage I couldn’t put away in a cramped(for business) space, and no way to use the restroom for almost the whole 8 1/2 hour trip. I ended up trying to sleep with a large backpack blocking my feet. The food was good for plane food, but not great. The drinks were great, shame I couldn’t have had more, but I’d have peed myself. I love a window, but next time maybe an isle seat. Overall, the experience was good, not great, but an expensive good experience during which I got zero sleep. I’d do it again, but it’d have to be a deal.

The direct flight was a superb idea; please continue. The seats were less than comfortable for such a long flight.

We missed that flight, and I am hoping that we will got the refund. It was very confusing to figure out about Aer Lingus operated by American Airlines. Then we bought another more expensive ticket to travel.

The check in and boarding process was smooth, and the flight was fine.

The free WiFi was great so I could stream movies during the flight. I would like to have movies available instead of on my device. Thanks!

We had a wonderful experience with Aer Lingus. The seats were too close for the long trip. The crew was absolutely perfect. They were so caring and thoughtful! My husband did not have a good experience with Air Lingus on the phone when trying to take care of getting better seating because he is disabled and needed a wheelchair prior to the day of our flight! Mariam R. in Boston was so helpful with seating and getting help for my husband. Filip Pytka who works for OCS was extremely helpful! He made sure that we had the lift because my husband could not climb the stairs to get onto the airplane. He took us from the gate all the way down to where we needed to be.

We were an hour and a half late, which caused my rental car company to cancel my reservation. We had no car, had to take a taxi to our hotel, and then a taxi back to get a new car the next day. Sometimes lack of on-time performance can end up costing the passenger a lot of money, none of which is covered by the airline that operated the late flight.

Our seats were reassigned on the day of departure and our small family group of 3 was split up unnecessarily — my wife was seated many rows behind myself and my daughter. The seats were also very small and very tightly packed — there was no space at all — and the seat cushions were hard and uncomfortable. I couldn’t sleep because it was painful on my butt. The cabin crew were nice and the food was decent enough, though.

Spent unnecessary hours on phone calls to resolve small error on one of the passengers name... It was extremely stressful and time consuming... Not great... Also all 4 members of the family: 2 parents/ 2 teenagers were allocated separate seats (even separate floors... Not great...

Comfortable seats, good service overall. The food could’ve been a little bit better. The boarding process was slightly chaotic and in fairness, not all of that is related to the performance of British Airways.

The chairs were a bit tight even though I had extra feet space…2nd plane didn’t have entertainment and even though they said there was free WiFi-I believe the free WiFi wasn’t accessible unless u had some account set up….which I didn’t figure out

As I remember my last BA flight - mediocre at best. Uncomfortable with poor and minimal food and drinks. Screen broke shortly into flight so didn’t have access to entertainment either.

They gave away my business class seat. No explanation and no apology. Told me I had to take the downgrade if I wanted to get to India. Then no WiFi for 10 hours. Just ridiculous. We should not work with this company at Deloitte. They don’t know how to run a business.

ok. It's a short flight and it was delayed, hence the ok rating.

Would like to see clean bathrooms, especially the bathroom by the end of the crew flight the cleanest not the bestest thank you

Wonderful. It seemed so quick and the view of Mt Hood was really good.

Work being done at DIA made it difficult to find BA desk.
