the pre-boarding for families with kids was nice, the staff were helpful during the flight

The flight home to DC was fine. The flight going to London from DCA was horrible.The deserts on the kids meals had mold on them. My daughter was vomiting as a result of the food. It ate into our trip which was hard for us as we were visiting my grandmother who is not well. We contacted the airline about it and their proposed compensation was not what we were expecting. Honestly we plan to make an annual trip but based on our experiences with this trip maybe we'll choose a different airline.

Service and Care with sense of humor! I have sat in both business and economy, and while I prefer the room in business, I still feel the service is just as wonderful in economy. I got all I asked for including bubbly in economy! I like to stay awake on the way back to the US and asked for two coffee's and a bubbly, a ginger and an OJ just before dinner & refills on cafe. Of course I thought I was pushing it to ask for it all at once, but they laughed, proceeded to fill my wishes and with a good sense of humor asked If I wanted anything else! I actually got everything I asked for! Super!

I pre bought my seat and chose an aisle. The plane was changed and I ended up in a window seat within the same row I had chosen on the other plane lay out. I prefer the aisle as I like to get up a lot and hate to annoy others who may prefer not to get up every time I do. I was lucky that the flight had plenty of empty seats and was able to move to an aisle after asking. What happens on a full flight? I would have been really upset. What is the point of pre-booking one' s seat? If the plane is changed, BA ought to take care to make sure a pre-booked seat gets a window/aisle near the row they chose. I suspect that is more important than the row on a long flight.

They may not always tell you everything, but they seem to think of their passengers first. I was worried about getting my bag out of the overhead bins which ended up three rows ahead of me. I thought I was going to have to exit the plane from the rear since that was how I entered and wondered how I would get my bag. Turns out this was not the case as everyone would exit from the front.

Being seated at the rear of the plane. This was not the flight seat I chose and paid for at booking originally. Do not know what happened with that. I needed to make an international connection within an hour and half for boarding and was nearly the last off the plane. Made it just fine, but felt lucky airport seemed not so busy. I am not sure about pre-booking seats being worth it as my way home I did not seem to get any of them.

There was an engine problem and they told us while we were taxiing. Went back for more check nd fierce several trials they had to repair the problem. This cause a delay of two hour during which we had to sit in the plane and no drinks or snacks of any kind were offered. But what’s worse there were vague, confused and misleading information given both by the captain and the crew regarding the connecting flights. As matter of fact, although I arrived with a two hour delay and had only one hour for my connection, I followed the instructions and run like hell(literally)to the boarding gate. I made it for a few minutes. The personnel was very friendly and helpful and they made all they could to check me on the flight just to find out BA had cancelled my booking even before my arrival to London. I made it home and they apologized but this is not how I expected BA to handle a delay(which I understand can happen).

Flight was smooth and on time. Good flying the 777. Lots of open seats in a not so full flight. The food was good for economy class and the flight attendants very attentive and looking for ways to serve.

The arm rests of the seating would not fold all the way up to allow me to spread to the 2 empty seats next to me. I laid across all 3 seats and tried to sleep, however had the armrest jammed into my back and legs. Also, it took too long for the cabin crew to get the passengers convinced to close the window shades, so the cabin was brightly lit for the entire flight.

I had to pay for my standard seat selection, even within the 24 hour period. They wouldn't serve me tap water, I had to pay for a bottle. The boarding process was abyssmal. Not a great trip.

Entertainment options were good.

Lost my bag. No idea where it was for 48 hours. Staff was ok. Ran out of meal options, took 4 asks to get a glass of wine and by the time I got it, I was done eating.

Boarding was swift and timely, seats ok

There was an engine problem and they told us while we were taxiing. Went back for more check nd fierce several trials they had to repair the problem. This cause a delay of two hour during which we had to sit in the plane and no drinks or snacks of any kind were offered. But what’s worse there were vague, confused and misleading information given both by the captain and the crew regarding the connecting flights. As matter of fact, although I arrived with a two hour delay and had only one hour for my connection, I followed the instructions and run like hell(literally)to the boarding gate. I made it for a few minutes. The personnel was very friendly and helpful and they made all they could to check me on the flight just to find out BA had cancelled my booking even before my arrival to London. I made it home and they apologized but this is not how I expected BA to handle a delay(which I understand can happen).

Service and Care with sense of humor! I have sat in both business and economy, and while I prefer the room in business, I still feel the service is just as wonderful in economy. I got all I asked for including bubbly in economy! I like to stay awake on the way back to the US and asked for two coffee's and a bubbly, a ginger and an OJ just before dinner & refills on cafe. Of course I thought I was pushing it to ask for it all at once, but they laughed, proceeded to fill my wishes and with a good sense of humor asked If I wanted anything else! I actually got everything I asked for! Super!

I pre bought my seat and chose an aisle. The plane was changed and I ended up in a window seat within the same row I had chosen on the other plane lay out. I prefer the aisle as I like to get up a lot and hate to annoy others who may prefer not to get up every time I do. I was lucky that the flight had plenty of empty seats and was able to move to an aisle after asking. What happens on a full flight? I would have been really upset. What is the point of pre-booking one' s seat? If the plane is changed, BA ought to take care to make sure a pre-booked seat gets a window/aisle near the row they chose. I suspect that is more important than the row on a long flight.
