Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "Co pilot chat"
Cons: "Couldn’t sleep - seat didn’t recline properly"
Cons: "The plane delayed by 30 minutes, I was rushed past security to wrong plane in Orlando, making me miss my flight, cue multiple times as the airlines "British Airways" and "American Airlines" bickered about who's fault it was. I'm still sat in Orlando waiting for my flight after losing my hotel in LA"
Pros: "Polite crew"
Cons: "The food, inflight entertainment. Our flight was delayed by over an hour."
Pros: "Excellent service I don’t have nothing to say was amazing"
Pros: "Efficient boarding, friendly staff"
Cons: "Very poor movie choice and poor quality screen"
Pros: "Staff were very kind and helpful"
Cons: "The two meals we received were not quite enough to see us through a 9 hour flight"
Pros: "Quick check in online, efficient auto bag check with helpful staff available, Quick efficient boarding, quiet flight less than half full."
Cons: "Being bumped to an earlier flight (7:15 from 11:20), not sure that was BA or the booking agent, but caused alteration of plans and hotel being booked."
Cons: "The other passengers"
Pros: "The drew were helpful"
Cons: "Sitting on the tarmac. No vegan meals."
Pros: "The flight was only 3.5hrs it was exelent."
Pros: "Crew excellent as always on BA, boarding fine, usual hassle getting to seats with other passengers blocking aisle, but when you choose to sit at the rear and the plane loads the forward seats first it's to be expected. Seats were very comfortable (much better than Virgin Airbus 330) and plenty of legroom. Food was better than on previous flights and drinks service was good - shame they ran out of wine, Bacardi and gin towards the end of the flight though! Liked the automated bag drop at Gatwick, much quicker and plenary of staff in case there were any issues."
Cons: "In-flight entertainment poor. Not enough choice, screens have seen better days too. Virgin do this aspect much better."
Pros: "Friendly clean and spacious"
Pros: "Getting off"
Cons: "This route needs a bigger plane. Always packed. Only a few rows of business class. Took off nearly an hour late. Economy on BA is very much a budget airline experience."
Pros: "Good flight, no complaints"
Pros: "On time, all the staff were lovely at the terminals and on the plane"
Cons: "All goid"
Pros: "The captain was very apologetic and the crew were friendly."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by an hour, meaning we arrived at almost midnight and for me and a few other people their electronic boarding passes did not work properly I was refused at the departures gate and told to go to the British airways counter to get a paper boarding pass printed out. I also saw some other people with British airways electronic boarding passes having similar problems."
Pros: "It has to be said, the prices were good. But you do get what you pay for...… (in my case, a lot of extra time and stress)"
Cons: "Firstly Kayak is apparently actually LastMinute.Com? BA flight was OK, but not much different from a low-cost airline. Return leg had to be Ryanair and online check-in didn't work (ouch! - you have to pay extra to check in at the airport). I eventually found out (after frantic googling) that Kayak auto-generates an email address for you as part of the Ryanair booking process, and this is the one you need. I spent about 30 mins getting through to LM.Com overseas helpdesk trying to get hold of it. I also had to request hold baggage as a separate process and it took 10 days to confirm this had been arranged (again, I would have had to pay extra at the airport)."
Pros: "This is a no frills BA flight, but I'd rather do fly with BA than the other options. You have to pay for food and drink, the quality of crew far exceeds the usual low cost dross."
Cons: "Nothing for the price. Although my preference would be BA via London City."
Pros: "Quickness of flight."
Cons: "Came round collecting cups etc within minutes of being served. No sky shop. And I was sitting in 3rd row (by choice) but didn't know I would have a curtain inches from my face for most of the journey."
Pros: "Smooth journey once we took off."
Cons: "Plane delayed by one and a half hours due to a bit of rain!"
Pros: "Speedy boarding process, very polite staff, good food."
Cons: "Very small serving of drinks, not a lot of entertainment on offer."
Pros: "Service was really good"
Cons: "The seats for business class were economy seats but with the middle seat being a tray!! Expecting bigger seats with more leg room. Disappointed."
Pros: "Price was goo £200 cheaper than the BA price"
Cons: "Cabin very cold over the whole journey at the end of the day you pay peanuts get monkeys But BA has a very tired fleet compared to say Emerites"
Pros: "Check in staff and Crew are brilliant. Always pleasant, friendly and helpful. Some aircraft are a little ‘tired’ and a few things don’t quite work as they should. For example my wife’s headphone socket was broken, and therefore no in flight entertainment. But we managed. It was reported to the crew and they immediately set about recording it for attention at next maintenance and changed our seats, so no complaints there. A few of the entertainment screens are scratched, and the controls faulty. But still usable with a little perseverance."
Cons: "Seat row spacing too close. There is little point of a reclining seat because using it greatly inconveniences the passenger behind."
Pros: "Nothing to like"
Cons: "Flight at a very inconvenient early time, though booked months ahed. The aircraft had no leg room at all, being excessively uncomfortable. You could not stay in the market with this rubbish in Australia."
Pros: "Much quieter than Heathrow so a more relaxed environment to travel. Flight left slightly late but made up time and landed ahead of schedule."
Cons: "Having to pay for a cup of tea. No issue with BA charging for alcolhol in a 1 hour flight but still think drinks like tea/coffee should be provided free."
Pros: "fast efficient, lovely crew,"
Cons: "shame B.A. is turning into a budget airline, despite the high standards of service trying to be maintained by the excellent crews."
Pros: "Very little"
Cons: "Crew, ground staff, courtesy, service orientation all hugely lacking."
Pros: "I thought the staff were helpful and professional. I had enough legroom and there was room for my wedding dress to be hung, although it was slightly small."
Cons: "There was a lot of turbulence but I know this is not the fault of the airline. Additionally, the in-flight entertainment was not working properly and this had to be reset on request. There were no wet towels/wipes to wipe our hands."
Pros: "flight cancelled"
Cons: "flight cancelled because of fog,........ there was no fog"
Cons: "Worst flight ever. Cabin Crew direspectful, vulgar language, condescending to passengers and manhandeling people."
Cons: "A two hour flight and they ran out of time to serve drinks. Maybe if BA reversed their ridiculous decision to charge for drinks, it wouldn't take them so long."
Pros: "Crew friendly"
Cons: "Food bland and limited choice Do not like the new bottle service in Club Service slow Seats very uncomfortable and less seat pitch than on other airlines"
Pros: "Everything was on time."
Cons: "It is a very good flight i seen. The flight was timely. Landing was very good."
Cons: "Booked 6 exit row seats only to have half of us moved. Somehow Cyprus is short haul? So no free soft drinks or food! The crew ran out of much of the menu."
Pros: "Crew treated you well, boarding was organised and as a silver club card holder I was rewarded with priority boarding (less queues, less hassle)."
Cons: "Old style entertainment console, small screens, no usb or plug point for charging."
Pros: "BA was great especially in JFK"
Cons: "Booked through Kayak and my mums ticket was voided so couldn't board had to buy her a new ticket"
Pros: "Nothing good to say its an old plane, rubbish entertainment system no help by the British airway's staff not even in checkin when my girlfriend struggled to weigh bag the staff just looked and offered no assistance. Hardly came round to offer drinks meal was foul and the Sandwick was inedible. I will never fly British airways again I wrongly thought that they were a premier service how wrong was I"
Pros: "Bording was quick"
Cons: "Crew was serious, absolutely not happy to smile Genuine smile is really appreciated whenmeeting custimers. Food trolley/ drinks came to customers and before we could react it was gone. When we asked them back they were not very happy looking . Seats we not comfortable."
Pros: "Arrived on time"
Cons: "We paid $85 each to have extra leg room - which were horrible seats near the toilet. Which became a gathering area and we were unable to sleep/watch movie in peace. Worst of all was the fact that someone was sick in the toilet (inside and out) the toilet was closed BUT no sign is placed on it so people continue to line up and wait..... unless I told them it was not in use.... this went on for 2 hours!!! A simple sigh on the door was all it needed."
Pros: "Disability assist was good."
Cons: "Unable to use your cash on board. Having to use a card to buy something, like a drink, for £1.80"
Pros: "Friendly, efficient and caring. A comfortable experience at a very low price."
Pros: "Great customer service"
Cons: "One of BA system was down which did delay us"
Pros: "The actuall flight was not bad."
Cons: "Unable to check in online and pay for extra bags. As a result i paid more at the airport. I even showed the error to the agent and she had an i dont care attitude. Check in opened an hour late. Not what i expected"
Pros: "On-time departure, friendly staff"
Pros: "Lounge. BA is currently using First Lounge at Gatwick during the renovation of the BA lounge."
Cons: "Crew behaving like prison guards. Not helpful and friendly, a disgrace. Food catering a joke (peanuts and crips)"
Pros: "Straight forward, free drinks and snacks, OK price. Service onboard at the better end of acceptable but not pushing over into great."
Cons: "They try to make boarding orderly, but they didn't finish boarding the seat numbers they called before calling the next set, and then did nothing when these people killed around and pushed at the front if the queue."
Cons: "Still at Gatwick. 24 hours later"
Cons: "I am so glad the lady in front of me did not recline her seat. My knees was pressed against the seat in front of me during the whole flight. It's really annoying that there is no knee or leg room. Be warned you have to pay for everything on this flight. And a G&T is £10"
