Top tips for finding a cheap flight from London to Chile

  • When flying from London to Chile, you will make use of one primary London-serving airport, and that will be Heathrow (LHR). With over 100 years in the business of flying, they are well established, to ensure you get the most professional service through check-in and boarding. If you have children under two, you can get priority boarding, to get settled on the plane with a little extra time.
  • For any international flight, it is advised that you check in at least 3 hours before take-off. With this extra time to kill at the airport, make good use of the premium lounges at Heathrow and relax, grab a light lunch or a drink or catch up on work. • Heathrow has one of the most extensive duty-free shopping areas of any airport in Europe. Take your Chilean friends or family some British drinks, teas and treats or simply stock up on reading material and flying comforts for the trip ahead.
  • Your flight to Chile will include at least one stop. With bags being handled in transit, you want to make sure your belongings are tightly wrapped up. Visit one of the luggage wrapping points at the departure terminals in Heathrow and wrap your luggage up securely, to ensure all your belongings arrive safely in Chile.

Do not use KAYAK or Finair for future travel. Unless you purchase the tickets directly from the airline, you were going to have a difficult time checking in. Kayak canceled my flights twice and ended up causing great difficulty in me getting back from Europe because they double sold my tickets between American Airlines and Finair. The event caused significant delays and led to me having to rebook my flights.

The staff were all particularly great. The plane was clean and fresh. The bassinet worked great. It was all very nice.

Boarding uncomfortable. Stewardess said I would have to check my carry on as there was no room in the overhead bins. Another passenger helped me find a spot.

Any flight that lands safely is a good flight. However our leg from Helsinki was delayed 1 hour with no explanation. The delay would not allow us to make our connection to Cincinnati. I was informed by American Airlines that our Cincinnati flight was rescheduled for the following day. I immediately made a non refundable hotel reservation in Dallas. Upon exiting the plane at Dallas I was given a hotel voucher. Nice, but I can't get a refund on the hotel I booked. A little communication would have been helpful. Food on Finnair is below quality of Korean Air.

The cabin crew really looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. They weren't really interested in providing an attentive service to full fare paying passengers at all. However the Captiain's in flight announcements were relaxed and very entertaining.

Crew were professional and responsive. Food was mediocre and breakfast could do with revampinmg

Food was very ordinary for premium economy, very small portions.

i dont know WHY they call it business class. the seats are NOT significantly wider than economy seats, they just do not let the middle seats be beepked to give the illusion of more space between passengers. the seats do NOT recline any more than economy seats either. the only real difference is the full meal served to business (vs none for economy). I would rather have a wider, lie flat ACTUAL business class seat with no food for a 3 hr flight. this was pretty disappointing to say the least.

There wore nice leather like sits, in my opinion seats lay out bit tight . Crew was great they did averything possible to make averywone comfortable as possible, food was, think worst I ever head on flight, head chicken and yellow rice. Ice cream was a nic treat.

Our previous flight was delayed but they waited for us to board.

We departed and landed on time, the aircraft was clean and comfortable, the crew were lovely. Online checkin worked well and the self service bag drop at the airport worked well. The a/c was an Airbus A330 and has been fitted with a good entertainment system with lots of choice in many languages. The price I paid for the flight was competitive with other airlines apart from the budget carriers, none of whom I was familiar with so I stuck to an airline I have used in previous visits to South America.

We didn’t have any entertainment. I tried to go online without success. The airplane was extremely cold and they didn’t have blankets.

Delta has an outstanding service. They are courteous and punctual most of the time. The flight departed a half hour late but we arrived 15 minutes early.

Not sure why there are so many security checks at this airport. Consistently annoying showing passport over and over, checking carryons at gate all the while trying to make tight connection. Basically it was uncomfortable crowded cabin with meidiocre service

Change of gate in Santiago devolved into half plus hour delay and a really tight connection in Lima

Plane never left the ground. Mech issues - entire trip was rerouted through united.

I liked everything, this was classed as premium economy but it was much better than Lufthansas business class. Lovely staff, comfortable plane and an excellent seat arrangement. A very pleasant surprise.

Everything was good except the check in. Could not do it online neither on the machines in the airport. Needed special assistance from the airline desk clerk

Friendly staff, It was the first flight out for our plane, so had to be deiced from the frost. Only delayed a few minutes,

Staff encountered friendly and helpful. Flight delayed 1 hour due to mechanical issue, but made it through Atlanta immkgration and security in plenty of time,

The connecting flight was canceled without any compensation. I spent the whole night in Vancouver International. Very bad experience.

Everything was OK, except one moment. After online check-in, Air Canada have sent me two same boarding passes. I asked to resend, but it comes the same again.

an absolute disaster and nightmare on air condition. IT WAS FREEZING!! everyone around us had hats, hoodies, gloves outdoor jackets on. that segment of the aircraft had a fault I assume...no amount of suggestion to turn down the air con helped. otherwise all good.

Flight 3 hours late due to poor planning followed by a thunderstorm which happened after the scheduled departure time. Plane stuck on ground for 3 hours and flight connections missed without compensation resulting in new tickets needing to be bought.

Everything was very good, short delay Toronto to Regina on my return to Canada but not a big deal. Thanks Kayak, Dr. Ian Stewart

Boarded smoothly, took off on time. Entertainment screens were reliable and the movie library is abundant. Food better than wtst was served on the first leg of the journey by another airline.

Check in was incredibly fast, fukuoka was comfortable and crew very pleasant. The only negative was that the boarding was somewhat chaotic, but it so often is these days as airlines tend to board by how much you pay and not by what an orderly process of filling the plane would be.

It was ok. Even after the airport bus took us to the terminal , we did not expect to walk 35 mins inside the airport to the gate . A 15 min walk is ok . Especially if there was any delay in TSA check which happens to is too then people can easily miss the flight.

Excellent bit seats are still a little too small and there's that $75 baggage charge.

Very disappointed with how we left Heathrow, and the service from Air Canada. When food was given, I was skipped by the attendant, and when I went to tell him, he just dropped the tray of food on my table. Leaving Heathrow and landing in Montreal were bad, which is not Air Canada’s fault, but the service itself was not good.

Charging $300 to be able to pick a seat next to your wife was nothing less than extortion.

I’m very mad because I paid an extra $105 to change seats to an exit row with more leg room. The app clearly showed a gap in between the seats in the row I changed my seat to and I paid for it. When I boarded the plane, it wasn’t an exit row seat and no more room than my original seat. I feel like I was ripped off $105.

The crew on AA international flights in my experience are generally lazy, rude, and inefficient. These guys did not disappoint.

I had a great experience , crew was great and enjoyed the entertainment options I will be booking my next International trip with them .

Front desk was closed at 6 pm, I was unable to get my boarding pass and as such missed my connecting flight home.

Flight from Madrid to Dakar had no onboard entertainment for a business class. Not even a single screen . That was disappointing. The WiFi only worked for the first 45 mins of the flight.

online check-in was horrible and didn't work either way

Flight LIN MAD. Checkin was fine (but I must admit that being a Platinum member I skip the lines). Security was fine (they have the new machines where you need not take laptops or liquids out). Longe was OK (BA). Boarding was a mess, the boarding gate personnel were rude and some should simply not be in a customer facing position. Flight in itself was fine, usual Iberia European coach. We were on time and actually time to deliver luggage was better than normal for Barajas

Very well, except that my luggage didn’t arrive in the corresponding flight, but they brought to me the next day.

Overall a great. However, the seating is way too narrow, for guys with any shoulder width. Luckily the crew moved the guy next to me, or it would have been miserable.

I didn’t have food and they don’t include entertainment. Not much leg room at all. Staff were great.

Better synchronizing the boarding processes. The audio announcements, the personnel and the digital signage were not saying the same thing. All confusion.

Business class was nothing more than Economy with middle seat empty. Uncomfortable seat and leg room. A mom behind me had a 18 month/2 yr old on her lap, who had his feet on my back all the time- while middle seat remained empty. Pretty much not worth the fare. Very disappointed.

The first class seats were unusable, mine at the end of the flight, my husband's in the middle of the flight, and the one next to me was unusable either, they had to move the person to another seat.

charging port did not work, no entertainment system. Other than that the flight was good and safe.

Last minute gate change. Didn’t put our TSA global on our trip even though we asked multiple times to confirm. Did not help with food when could not eat what was served.

When Stephen arrived with our wheel chairs - we were in excellent hands! He was such great help with getting our rental car and then reporting our missing luggage. When you are exhausted from traveling for too many hours, he was just what we needed to navigate everything! Give that guy a raise!

The cabin was bit colder than I like but the crew members looked after us very well. They did even offer hot water bottle and hot chocolate. I cannot rate the crew enough excellent is not good enough. They really were wonderful.

Boarding is always a challenge as folks in al groups crowd around for no reason, but crew handled it well. I once again applaud the LHR ground baggage staff as they got our bags from a flight at Terminal 5A to a flight in Terminal 5C within 40 minutes...amazing!

Gate information deliberately delayed to only one hour B4 flight, lack of info finding gate.
