Pros: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Whether it's her personal opinion or KLM's policy, it's unreasonable to think that a 3 years old child could or should hold her pipi over 20 minutes, while they slowly and inefficiently trying to give out food. Several parents were there with the request to let us through to the toilet with small children and she smiled in our face and said "no, we will finish first and than you can go". She might be not fit for the job anymore, but KLM can't afford this kind of treatment."

Departure was for the end of May to the end of August. When we were checking in the attendant told us that the ticket was no good and we had to purchase another ticket because the travel was over 90 days. At no time did BA or Kayak let us know this information but had no problem selling us this ticket. We were literally extorted for another $1000.00 so she could depart. Shameful! I booked another flight with another carrier, and did not take this flight., not do I plan to book with them in the future That being said, it is not the job of the employee to defend a poorly working system. When I tried to change the baggage weight to 32kg a charge was added for NOT taking the case PLUS the extra for the 32kg case! The cost of a case is reasonable and I would advise to pay the extra £5 for 32kg for most flights. The on-line Seating Selection is also unreliable, I was seated next to an empty seat which had been showing to be unavailable on-line! A response to my query which I sent to Blue Air arrived when I was in the air on the flight! It only repeated the baggage section of the Confitions document! Thank goodness for the excellent airport check-in staff and the Flight Crew!"

I was informed at checkin that I wasn’t allowed a checked bag from Amsterdam via Madrid to Miami. It is the first time I have ever flown internationally where you don’t get 1 bag at least to check in. The. The fee was €150 one way to check a bag. I feel that the airport should have disclosed more clearly that the fair did not include luggage. I can understand for some short haul flights people can choose to take luggage but international long haul is just heap and dishonest"

They didn't offer food to the inside rows, only to the window side. When you asked you got an annoyed glare."

The lack of room for carry on bags, requiring that some bags be transferred to the hold (caused by the above 'luggage transferring fiasco). The two people at the desk with a queue of hundreds waiting to check in. The one hour delay in the flight. The marathon walk to the other end of the airport to board the plane."

After arriving in London there was no information which belt my luggage will arrive and I had to search for close to an hour to find my bag"

Our 'extra' items were a knitting bag and a laptop bag, but the checkin agents persuaded us that we would need to check the carry ons anyway, which slowed our departure enough that we missed our bus and had to get a taxi (for 200 pounds). Our flight had plenty of empty seats, and there was more than enough room for us to have had our carryons and personal items (which I would have been willing to pay the upgrade fee for, as the total price would still have been competitive."

Cons: "We missed our flight due to a customer service line that had about 20 people there right from the start. Afterwards, the crew didn't do as much as lift a finger to help us find another flight. We had to pay an extra $850 for a one way ticket on top of what we already paid. I understand things happen and people miss flights but the fact they had no intention on dealing with our dilemma especially after their customer service team kept us there 45 min to start with makes me not want to do business with them ever again. Save yourself a hassle and do business elsewhere."

I had meetings this morning that I had to cancel; Transportation into London is very challenging at 2:30 in the morning - we were supposed to arrive before midnight; and now one day, of my THREE day trip is pretty rough because I couldn't get into London until 04:30."

You are supposedly only allowed 1 carry-on and NOTHING else, but they did not hold anyone else on the flight to this rule. Nearly every other person waiting to get on had a carry-on bag and a purse or some other small item, but they singled us out to put everything into one bag or pay an extra 60 Euros! HORRIBLE customer service! I will never choose them again no matter the cost for another airline."
