FAQs - booking Corsica flights

  • I’m staying in Porto Vecchio. Which airport is closest?

The airport closest to Porto Vecchio is Figari-Sud Corse Airport in the south of the island, which is around 30min from the city centre by car. If you’re travelling off-season or would like to have more options when it comes to flight routes and airlines, consider booking a flight to Paris and then flying from there to Ajaccio Napoleon Bonaparte Airport. This airport is approx. 2h 30min drive away from Porto Vecchio.

  • Which airport is closest to Sartène?

This depends on the time of year you're booking your flight to Corsica. If you’re travelling during high season, the closest airport to Sartène is Figari-Sud, which is at least 50min away by car. But because Figari-Sud is only served by seasonal flights, if you’re travelling to Corsica any other time of year you’ll need to book a flight to Corsica via Paris and fly into Ajaccio Napoleon Bonaparte, around 1h 30min drive away from Sartène.

  • I’m staying in Ajaccio. Which airport in Corsica should I fly into?

Ajaccio is served by Ajaccio Napoleon Bonaparte Airport, about 20min away from the city centre. This airport has limited options when it comes to airlines and routes from the United Kingdom, with direct flights to Corsica from London only operated by two airlines. Passengers flying from elsewhere in the UK will have at least one stopover, either in London or in mainland France.

  • Which airport do I fly into to visit Sant’Antonino?

The medieval village of Sant’Antonino is located on the north side of the island, which is served by two airports. The closest to Sant’Antonino is Calvi-Saint-Catherine Airport, approx. 30min away by car. However, there is only one weekly direct flight to Corsica from the United Kingdom that lands at this airport, and the route is only serviced from May to October. If you need to be more flexible with your travel dates or want more options when it comes to airlines and routes, you can book your flight to Corsica to Bastia instead. This airport is around a 1h 30min drive from Sant’Antonino.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from the United Kingdom to Corsica?

Everything is good except the seats are tightened no rooms for the legs,

The flight crew was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Also the seats were comfortable and roomier than many other airlines.

The boarding was efficient. The entertainment system was a bit unstable but Air France has a good selection of movies.

They lost my bag and I still have not received it

Communication on the delay, rebooking and how to get a hotel was poor. Mails, airport check-in and transfer desk said different things.

Not consistent with the food quality (I mean taste not freshness)

Food was really mediocre for premium economy in comparison to other airlines… the crew was nowhere to be found… 14 hour flight…

I don’t like that an equipment change caused my seat to change from 23A to 44A. The boarding was also delayed. The crew were excellent, however and very attentive. The food was not bad.

Worst airlines either. First leg was delayed because of crew not available. My connection was missed so they booked me automatically the next day! But, impossible to get anyone on site, web site does not let me access my reservation anymore, confirmed by useless agents over the phone. My 2-leg trip with part in business class arriving at 4:10pm ends up in an awful 3-leg arriving at 9pm the next day with no way to even choose the seats and of course at the very end of the plane. I can understand problems arrive but the way Air France handle it is just unacceptable. You are on your own. Apparently getting you to your destination is the only thing they consider their duty. The customer experience and fatigue is none of their concern. And I have a status with them. I will reconsider my priorities when flying with Air France and encourage everyone to do the same.

Our flight crew were terrific. And they handle a difficult passenger with finesse.

Whole way through - far more professional and slick than I expected

Good news was that Bag Check was open two and a half hours before the flight, which is essential with the chaotic immigration process. Flight was okay, but sitting at the back of the aircraft, 3 overhead bins on both sides were filled with crew bags and other misc items, so we couldn't put our cabin bags anywhere near us. To add insult, twice the crew managed to drop items that they were taking out of the overhead bins onto my wife's head, who was sitting in an aisle seat.

It was good; the only down side is that once you get to the airport everything is self service, there is no one assisting. I felt like I was working while I was on vacation during the check in process and dropping off the luggage. Really uncertain on what the airlines use payroll nowadays.

You need to make signage at Berlin Airport clearer. Having checked in online we had our boarding passes onlour phones. You do not make it clear that you need to check in again to receive a printed luggage tag. You get to baggage drop off and it says you can only do it with a luggage tag BUT not how to get this.

We were bumped despite seats existing on flight While checkin attendants were helpful Easyjet management was not. Only after threats were we allowed on plane at last minute. The online help desk was useless and waste of time (over an hour of useless chats)

Sitting on the last row in between the aisle and a massive person, all people going to the bathroom bumped into me including the flight attendants.

The best budget airline in Europe. Flight was on time, crew friendly and worked hard during flight and were able to meet our needs. Only downside (not the airline's fault), there were no rear steps.

It was transportation nothing more. I will give a positive rating over Ryanair. We missed our Ryanair flight the night before and received rude and unconcerned treatment from the Ryanair customer service. It was late. We were very tired and stressed after doing our best to get to the airport. The so called customer service ladies were completely unconcerned from the start. Aside from that, the flight to London seemed to be their opportunity for advertising. No time to relax as attendants were constantly in the aisle selling. I will never fly Ryanair again!!

Boarding and disembarking were smooth. Not offering free water was cheap ... I've never encountered that before on a flight.

Boarding could be better. To get through your gate but to be stood in a corridor for 20 minutes is not great.

Even though I flew in business cabin I was not given any refreshment even though those next me were served

Flight map did not work. Crew was great, food was good, plane took off on time and landed early. That's all I can ask.

Paid for exit row at the back of the plane. Window seat with lots of leg space. Food was inedible (as usual). Brought my own.

Lufthansa still has a good level of quality compared to US airlines, especially with respect to (1) food quality - actually tasty, (2) good French red wine - free, (3) good movie selection. Also my ticket price includes 1 free check-in luggage, while some other budget airlines sneak in an extra $150 for a checkin.

I think they overbooked Frankfurt to New York and bumped me off. This changed my return travel I arrived home about 4 hours late. Almost 24 total travel time Totally unacceptable Would not travel with United

Efficiency of staff, and comfort and cleanliness of aircraft was all great. Maybe a hot drink without payment at that time in the morning would be good!

It was as good as a flight in economy can be.

The plane was late (as was my flight out from Birmingham the day before)

The flight was delayed by an hour. Made the connection uncomfortably tight.

When we went to the lounge they told us to go into the main lounge and not the full business class section, later they told me that Lufthansa wont pay the full fee to alloq the business class passengers entry to the nicer sectikn where all the other airlines nusiness class passengers go into. Very poor arrangement.

Poor service, antiquated plane with 2-3-2. B-class config upstairs. Tight and not comfortable—not what I expected for paying B-class! AND my bag didn’t make the transfer, bag will be delivered the day after it lands!

Cheap Flight Fares would not provide booking info. I canceled the reservation and we arbitrated with American Express. They provided erroneous info to Amex and it was determined that C.F.F. deserved the price of the ticket. Worse experience I've ever had.

Seating space is appalling. Seats and all surrounding area in "Economy" is built for individuals shorter than 4' 10" and below 120 lbs. Ridiculous. While I'm not expecting fine dining, the food was the worst airplane food that I can recall.

Business class lounge for my gate was closed and no email was sent, causing me to walk back and forth to different gates, etc for over 20 minutes one way. Flight entertainment was mediocre with very poor choices especially for business class cabin. Original flight was cancelled and rebooking was difficult and no reason given for cancellation.

Waiting area not big enough for all the passengers, no airport lounge.

Very comfortable flight and simple and directed one way and back. Amazing price.

We loved our flight attendant, Emma from Scotland, the meal and entertainment offerings were wonderful, the flight was smooth, and enough leg room to stretch. We would fly with you again!

Los Angeles to London. 25th of April 2026. Business class. I was flying backwards with a complete stranger snoring next to me. In Business class. Males and females, strangers lying next to each other. Seats were backwards. I paid for comfort. I got dizziness and stress.

I liked that we got there safely. I disliked long delays, gate and ticket agents incompetence and apathy and having my luggage lost. Five days later I've yet to get anything more than a generic apology from British Air. Luggage yet to be located, much less returned.

Long line with check in at the DIA British Airway counter.
