Plane was not full, so I could lie down which was a great rest after such an early checkin in bangkok.

A bit disorganised in Colombo, but all in all informations were gathered. The airline desk a bit unhelpful in not wanting to contact by phone the main airline desk for a question which forced me to walk all the way back, But no huge deal.

First Airline to harass me about the weight on my bag -- small carry on -- had to check kill me on time. The seats have no legroom -- my back is killing me. The internet could not take my money -- so I could not get'out crucial emails -- it seems like the service was more interested in collecting my email addresses and password -- instead to simply directing me to the payment method -- waste of time.

The young man and woman who checked us in were AMAZING. Very sweet, jovial and accommodating to the best of their ability. The crew was sweet as well and they seemingly, loved their jobs. The plane was spacious for economy and wide open. That being said, we were able to get a whole row to ourselves, which just put the icing on the cake.

At such high altitudes, for a very long period of time and for the latter half of the flight, flying over desert sand, I became very dehydrated and constantly had to ask for water. When I asked the crew if my travel mate and I could just have our own bottle, we were given one bottle to share. As a frequent flyer I try really hard to be as little of a pain as possible, ensuring I bring everything I could possibly need with me on a flight. It is suggested, for every 2 hours you're in the air, you drink 8 oz of water, which for us would've totaled 48-56 oz. it's almost impossible to carry that much water with you while flying. That would honestly be my only gripe, full 16-24 oz bottles of water to the passengers or more water service.

After I had run from one end of the airport to the other to go through customs and catch my connecting flight and boarded with 15 minutes to spare, I was pulled off by one of your officials and was not given a reason as to why. The flight attendants were talking about sweeping any areas of the plane that I had been in. It was when we had almost reached customs that I was informed that another passenger who was stuck in Customs had mentioned my name and that is why I was pulled off. So, I was treated like a criminal and questioned and threatened by the customs official who went and searched my belongings to see if I'm lying about what I brought with me. They then tried to get me to fly with the other passenger just because we knew each other, even though I clearly and repeatedly told them I am not traveling with that person. I suppose this isn't all Etihad's fault, but if you are pulling passengers off of your plane, don't ignore their questions and treat them like criminals. Also, when I got back on, the filght attendants were unsympathetic about my situation and smiled it off. It ruined my whole flying experience. Also, the buttons to adjust A/C and call flight attendants was really high up and hard to reach for a petite woman.

The food, the entertainment, the fact that the airline staff could speak English and that some of them were actually helpful

The upkeep of the airline, some of the airline staff to treat all passengers as one as I noticed more than an unusual amount of passengers were favoured over one another. A minimum flight of 5 hours was served with just the one meal. We were served lunch at 930 am on one flight. The observations in economy aren't as important as business class. Only if we could all afford to travel on business class.

This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current.

Dislikes: 1. Online check-in wasnt easy; towards the end of the process, there is an option to email the boarding pass but this never worked. Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why.

Horrible experience with Alitalia. They boarded us on a plane that had a wheel issue, and kept us on the ground for 2 hours before they decided to de-plane us. We then had to wait in a 5+ HOUR LINE to get rerouted (nope, they won't handle these issues online or over the phone, you have to wait in line). And THEN they wanted us to wait in a 2 hour line to re-drop off our bags. We got stuck overnight in Rome and were put in a horrible Hilton Garden Inn and barely made it in time to use our coupon for a "free meal" (aka, frozen meatballs and stale bread in a buffet that had been sitting out all night). On our flight back, the food was absolutely terrible, the movie selections were old and scarce, and the seats were uncomfortable. We called to complain as soon as we got home and still have not heard back from Alitalia. I will never fly with them again.

The crew had no smile, neither a hospitable attitude. The food in the second meal seemed stale. I did not finish the meal for fear of getting sick. The entertainment system was the slowest I have ever used in my life. The glass holder for my seat was broken. It took me 7-8 times calling assistance that someone finally came, which took at least 40 minutes. And last but not the least there was water dripping on the passenger next to me.

Free entertainment (nice selection of movies), free food and drinks (food is a bit spicy, but within reason), more leg room than expected.

At first they refused to let me in on the plane, because they misread the instructions from Dubai and thought I couldn't even be at the airport. I can't go into Dubai, but I can be at the terminal. To their credit, they realized their mistake just in time and I was able to make the flight, albeit barely, so no harm done.

I hope this carrier grows by leaps and bounds. The plane was new & clean, the pilots executed flawless takeoff & landing, the flight attendants were friendly to a fault, the plane left on time & arrived early. Round trip Orlando-Venice was $980 round trip. The only niggling detail was the somewhat limited selection of movies.

I was late ( I had to drive 230 Km ) and I managed to call in advance the company that was doing the check-in on behalf of SWISS - I asked them the Check-in time closing time and by almost flying ( speeding like crazy ) I arrived before that moment.

I did not check the terms and conditions of the ticket. I am a Star Alliance Gold member and I was expecting SWISS to have a similar booking system like the others I fly with. I found out that the ticket fare did not contain checked luggage ( so I had to pay a hefty fee for it ) and also my 20" wheeled case that was ok in all the other flights I took it with me, this time was oversized and overweight . My wife took out the 2 laptops so it became within weight limits but still oversized - My wife paid for the fee ( I wasn't there at the time and she is not a such experienced flyier as I am ) . When I found out about the fee, I checked their rules and I found out that the hand luggage is allowed to be 22" . I saw in the airplane a lot of people with cases having the same size as mine, that went as checked luggage at a cost fo around 40 . I want to see how can I get my money back . . .

The seat in Y class was comfortable. The boarding started on time.

The cabin crew were mostly atrocious! I asked for something like THREE times before they brought it to me. (Granted I patiently waited for a while between each interval of asking again). The male cabin crew at boarding was like a statue; didn’t smile, barely greeted me & was rude later on in the flight when I asked him for headphones! The food was disgusting! But the female cabin crew who brought me my special was nice after she couldn’t figure out which special meal was mine. The cabin crew overall seemed disorganized. However, a male cabin crew named Munir was nice. I flew on SV 302; CAI-JED.

Plane was not full, so I could lie down which was a great rest after such an early checkin in bangkok.

A bit disorganised in Colombo, but all in all informations were gathered. The airline desk a bit unhelpful in not wanting to contact by phone the main airline desk for a question which forced me to walk all the way back, But no huge deal.

They have great direct service, and moderately priced. And fantastic flight times.

The flight always leaves late from Dubai and from Colombo. Not to any fault of the airline, but screaming babies the entire flight on the way to Colombo was stressful.

The flight was delayed and arrived to London late for our connecting flight to Venice, was rescheduled for another flight from another airport. Had to take the taxi to get there on time for our next flight.

The food was fine, and there was plenty of it. The movie selection was good.

The crew turned the lights out when we took off, then when everyone was asleep they turned them on and served dinner, at like 10-1030 pm... Way too late to be eating. Then they turned the lights off, then on again for drinks, then off then on again for a breakfast snack, then off then on again for more drinks. Just pick one, on or off please.
