You can travel into the city by land, air or sea. A bridge connects Malé Airport to the main island, and you can hire taxis at the airport for around 35 MVR (2 GRP), however the fastest method is to take a Dhani/Speedboat from the airport to the city, only taking 10min. If you’re staying on an island nearby, you can also charter one of the inter-island sea planes to take you to one of the nearby islands or atolls.
You can find a handful of dining options at the small Malé airport. If you’re looking for something after you flight, the Aqua Restaurant near the CIP Building or the Mariyaadu snack counter in the centre are both in the public area of the terminal, before you pass through airport security. If you are in the airport in transit or heading home, there are also cafes in the departure lounge on the first floor.
If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax, the Wellness Lounge is run by Plaza Premium and can be entered for free by those holding a Priority Pass or guests invited by their airline. Economy passengers can also purchase a pass at the door. Here you can relax in the shower and spa facilities, make the most of the premium Wi-Fi, or have a snack and a drink. The lounge is open every day between 8:00h – 23:00h.
Hotels such as the Airport Comfort Inn or the Hathaway Beach Maldives in Hulhule, behind the Malé Airport offer airport shuttles to and from your flights. If you wish to stay in the city centre, the Hotel Octave Maldives and Somerset Inn also offer shuttle services, which will get you to your flights and back in only 15min. Alternatively, nearby Karumba Hotel on Vilhamanaafushi Island, or The Virnorva on Villingili Island offer shuttle boats to the Airport Ferry.

Was humiliated at Doha airport, treaded like a cattle class traveler, I hold platinum pro status with AA and I don’t fly economy even domestic but was made to travel in the middle seat in economy class and boarding zone 3 and was denied lounge access at Doha airport. Never was humiliated like this before.
Bag check in at DC was slow. Boarding process was slow more due to customers unfamiliar with how to board properly. Food and service was excellent!
BLR boarding is total pathetic. Should not fly Qatar from Bengaluru. Check in staff is too rude there
Seats very uncomfortable, impossible to sleep. Food average, bakery items not fresh. Pockets in seats not large enough to hold a book and a few other items. Cabin temperature too cold, even with blanket. Good selection of movies. Other than that 12 hours of torture!
i bought a biz class fare but a few days before vistara always changes my biz class flight to economy .. happened to me 4 times .. seated could be wider .. boarding could be more organized .. crew did their best but not enough resources all in all very poor experience
Qatar said few times that the luggage will be at the final destination but they were wrong. Please check where your port of entry is at the destination. This is where the luggage would be. The food was terrible.
They need to be more accommodative when folks have a connecting flight and that too under the same ownership.
One of the On board crew misbehaved and services were poor
Flight was delayed in total one and half hours that was typical old Air India .. So avoid new Airindia with same old reputation. Make sure flights are in time .
plane is clean and well taken care of cabin crew
The Airlines is really professional and flights are almost on time in respect of departure and arrivals are concerned.
The trip was booked on a Premium Economy, I was moved to standard economy with no compensation. When I boarded the flight crew had already made someone else sit in my place who were reluctant to give me my seat. Quite a few people were found not wearing masks and crew did nothing about it. No choice of food in spite of me with a standard economy ticket that includes the option of food.
Pathetic ground staff and customer care. I paid for an upgrade 3 weeks before the journey, and I was downgraded with no reason.
No Food, No beverages, only water, and there is no information about this sudden change
