I am writing in respect to the flight cancellation and the inconvenience caused to my family. My family and I were scheduled to fly on EZ to Aberdeen on wed the 1st of August, as a result of flight cancellation we have had to remove this part of our holiday from our scheduled as we are travelling through the Uk on our pre planned summer holiday. the cost incurred and the reimbursement that I expect as a result of the inconvenience caused to my family, are the cost of our transport from our Airbnb to Gatwick, transport to the accommodation EasyJet booked for the nite, the cost of transport from Holiday inn express Gatwick Crawley, back to our accommodation at Kingston, and the fact that Flybe our return departure back to London on the 6th of August has refused to refund us the sum £310 that has been payed towards our return flight back to london on the 6th of August. They have expressed it is absolutely not their fault easyJet decided to cancel, they have offered to make changes to dates or destination for a minimum cost of £45 per per family member and that excludes the change in fare racking up another £225 or more just to be in Aberdeen for the planned 6days. We are not resident in England and have an outbound flight to catch to our country of resident. This simply means changing our international outbound ticket as well for at least £350 per person, excluding the difference in fare which could be a minimum of £1760 which at this point I can no longer afford. In order for the rest of what is left of our summer holiday not to continue getting ruined, we have had to cancel the Aberdeen part of our trip due to easy jet disruption. Both easy jet and Flybe have treated us like we are not their customers simply because we didn’t book directly like other customers. It was a long ezcucautiing process just to make a refund and claim expenses. I have sent a few emails to the address given which seem to be wrong. I have in used a total of £180 in transportation cost for me and my 4 family members just to catch a cancelled flight not to talk about food cost.
