The rental service required proof of insurance if you declined to purchase through them, which is fine. What was unusual was that they would only accept the declarations page. Additionally, if the renewal date was within 45 days, they would not accept it. This was not made clear upon booking, and seems rather like a money grab. I’m not sure the reason recently renewed insurance would be unacceptable..it has an effective date for a reason. Several customers were frustrated and the staff seemed to be angrily flustered because of it.

My reservation was for 3pm. We got off the plane and through customs a few minutes early. When we got to the rental agencies desk no one was there...... for an entire hour! I called the number provided several times and no one would answer. Finally when dome did show up I was told I could use there insurance which I declined because I would use my insurance, I was then told I would have to put a deposit of $3000 down to use my own insurance. I was pissed so I did not even accept the rental car. We wound up taking a taxi to the resort arriving two hours late. NEVER AGAIN!

Had to pay $25 per day for “loss of use” insurance. Everybody was made to pay. Despite having my own insurance and an American Express Platinum card. Have never had to pay for this insurance ever. Hidden fee to make up for low rental cost.

Showed up, called, and they said I had to take a LAX shuttle to a different terminal. Called and they said it would be 15-20 minutes. Called and said 30 minutes passed and they said it would be another 20 minutes due to traffic. Checked traffic from the hotel where the rental agency is to the terminal I was at. Said 9 minutes. Still waited 30 and they never showed. They also stopped picking up my phone calls. Had to book with a different company at twice the price and deal with trying to get a refund for a rental I already paid for. I travel a lot, and this car rental agency is literally the worst I've dealt with... And I've seen some shady stuff overseas.
