Wish there was charging outlets like lot of other airlines
Everything went as expected for my flight. Had some slight bumps throughout the flight, but nothing major. I enjoy Southwest due to the free checked bags, but don’t care for the open seating. To me it feels like you’re not guaranteed a seat until you’re on the plane.
Did not board or arrive on time. Very poor gate agents. Pilot tried to be funny but wasn’t.
Snacks are boring, but crew was great!
The crew was awesome!
Despite a roundabout route to avoid storms that increased our flight time, the last four rows did not receive beverage service.
Late departure (fortunate since a traffic accident delayed my trip to the airport). No explanation offered. Connecting flight also delayed out of Chicago (I believe due to weather). Also fortunate since my flight from CLT landed about 15 minutes before the connecting flight was originally scheduled to leave.
Flights were on time and food service was excellent.
Flight was smooth but no snack or drink service. Kids and I were pretty upset.
Love it! Flight was great and staff was great.
Love Southwest. Plane is clean and staff is helpful and very friendly. Flights are smooth and boarding is easy.
Smooth in exciting flight ( as all flights are hoped to be)
Affordable and on schedule and flew—-not a threesome I have seen in SW in last 12months
Flight delayed 3 hrs had to sit on plane 3 hrs waiting for crew member and engine check
No refreshments were served on this flight and it was an older plane with no entertainment. But the crew was very friendly and nice.
Wireless connection kept dropping.
Delayed
Delayed 3 times, gate changed twice..got here after my appointment. Flight was good overall due to the challenges the pilots faced when descending and landing because of the wind.
Be more sanitized.
Please have more direct flights. No layovers.
Long flight delay
The levity of the crew was a nice experience.
Very easy check in at gate. Security line was fine. Normal time boarding. Flight attendants did a good job! Was on time kept informed by crew. Nice trip
Friendly crew, great entertainment and free iMessages. What was annoying was not only the more than an hour delaying takeoff while the plane got warmer and warmer, but the updates we got from the captain were misleading. We kept being told that a particular step was done and we’d be on hour way in a few minutes, and then we’d wait another 30+ minutes. Honest updates would be better - not hopeful ones presented as factual.
Going back hnl to lgb was way more chill. Everything was smooth, flight staff was nice, accommodating and we got home half hour early. That’s my kind of flight!
The baggage claim digital monitor said “5” but baggage actually came out on “6” Southwest annoyed me and wasted my time It’s a good airline but this lack of attention to detail is poor
Flight attendants were fun (and, of course also efficient and professional).
Flight delayed six hours
Same problems as the last flight, why are disabled people taken off the airplane first? Makes no sense. Let fast people get off first.
So many bags had to be loaded that the flight ended up being 20 minutes late. Not cool, but I guess that’s understandable. The real problem is deplaning. Why do disabled people get taken off first? They should wait while the able bodied people are allowed to deplane first.
On board Southwest flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 23x15x9in. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Southwest assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
Southwest offers direct flights to 118 cities in 12 different countries. San Jose, San Diego, and Sacramento are the most popular cities covered by Southwest.
Southwest concentrates most of its flight operations in Denver.
KAYAK is a travel search engine, meaning that we continuously look across the web to find the best deals for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from all airlines, including Southwest.
Marketing itself as a low-cost airline, Southwest Airlines operates predominantly domestic flights within the United States. The airline flies to 41 of the country’s 50 states. Flying to a further 10 countries, there is a focus on Caribbean destinations such as Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Aruba and The Bahamas.
All flights are scheduled using a point-to-point system, which is decentralized and relies loosely on the airline’s hubs. In comparison to the hub and spoke system commonly used by major airlines, Southwest Airlines reduces the likelihood of baggage loss and fuel consumption per passenger. With less connections and travel time, you can get to your destination faster.
Unlike most other American airlines, you are allowed 2 checked bags for free with every ticket purchased. Another customer benefit is that there is no change of flight fees, meaning you only need to pay the difference of the cost of the tickets. If you switch to a cheaper flight, a credit is provided for future use.
Videos of Southwest Airlines’ safety announcements have gone viral, with the cabin crew regularly mixing in tasteful humor. As they engage the passengers and build a warm atmosphere, make sure you take your headphones out and listen in. Specific seats are not allocated and customers are free to choose their own seat. Complimentary app messaging is provided so that passengers can use WhatsApp and iMessage during the flight.
The fleet is made up exclusively of Boeing aircraft and has used the 737 family series since 1971. A bold livery featuring a dark blue body and orange and red stripes has become the customary design.
