Food options were poor. Pasta they seems to serve on all international flights in economy was tasteless.

Document check to verify our negative covid test was efficient. The supervisor at the Frankfurt gate to depart to SFO was not helpful when I asked with group I was boarding with. Dismissive and said it was on my pass. If it was on my pass I wouldn’t have needed to ask. Everything else about the flight was good- on time departure and good crew given circumstances with covid, masking etc.

My suggestion to Lufthansa is if they intend to rip their customers off it's best NOT TO LET THEM FIND OUT ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE, or if they're simply too incompetent to match marketing offers to their booking department they could save considerable income and reputation by closing the ticket office. As it was, the impression was a low-class money grab. It's not like they can count on their partnership with United to make them look good."

Terrible communication from Aer Lingus. The flight was delayed but nothing was communicated to passengers.

This summer is full of horror stories of airline understaffing, and I was concerned about flying Aer Lingus for the first time after reading mixed reviews. My concern grew when I had a very hard time reaching someone in customer service to answer an important question: my young daughter's passport had just less than 6 months validity, so more than the 3 months required (I checked) with both US and EU border regulations - would she be allowed to travel despite the Aer Lingus 6 months policy I had read online? The answer ultimately was yes, but I maintained a niggling trepidation that we would be turned away at EWR (as I had read had happened to other travelers). HOWEVER, this did not happen, AND our check-in and flights went smoothly, including a tight connection in Dublin. We had packed carry-on which, because the flight was full we had to check, but our luggage was not lost. :) On the return her car seat did not arrive (which was not a problem for us) and it got delivered the next day. The flight attendants were extremely nice and professional, even when clearly working in a generally challenging situation. The food was good. The best part? Dublin has its own US customs so we went through that during our layover so landing at JFK was so much more pleasant than the usual harrowing arrival in the US (even for US citizens with little luggage and nothing to declare.) I will definitely fly Aer Lingus again.

The seats were too close together and my tv was not working!

The airplane selected for this 8-hour journey was way too small! It was uncomfortable, cramped, and not to the usual standards. A long-haul transatlantic flight needs to have more space and adequate overhead locker space for carry-on baggage. We had to check our small carry-on and they were the very last bags to arrive at baggage claim, 40 minutes after arrival. On two occasions I counted 17+ passengers lining up in the aisle waiting to access the bathroom, as there were only 2 lavatories in the economy area. Staff were clearly frustrated and the crew had to ask passengers to sit down to avoid blocking the aisle... another point why the plane was too small for that travel duration. Turbulence was frequent, again something that is not as obvious on a larger plane. As an Irish citizen living in the US, I'm so disappointed to see the Aer Lingus standard dropping and will be likely looking for other carriers for my frequent tranatlantic travels.

Our flight was canceled, no way to contact the airline, no attempts even to offer option to reschedule flight, I understand it was technical difficulties, but it was no explanation why the flight was canceled. Shouldn't the airline have some back up in case of such emergency. They wouldn't care less.

Overall, quite a poor experience which would make me hesitate to fly BA again given a choice of comparable airlines."

Cons: "I used to live in London in the past, and commute with BA routinely, without any considerable issues. With this in mind, I booked this flight through the american site as I now live in the US. Big mistake. Even though I'm still a BA member and I checked in 24 hours prior to departure on the minute, I had no way of choosing a seat, in fact I had to pay to change my assigned emergency exit aisle seat. Secondly, there was a 5,5 hour delay, due to fog, which affected BA but not Easyjet or Aegean flying the same route at the same time, leaving me looking at all the other passengers taking off while I waited at the airport without any notice from my company. This resulted in me getting a debilitating migraine, for which I had to request painkillers on the plane. For anyone who hasn't done this before, despite how helpful the staff are, there's always "procedure" to be followed and papers to be signed before obtaining tylenol. Finally, when I contacted BA customer service to request a refund for this trip, considering if I had booked with any other airline I wouldn't have gone through all that, I was told it was my fault for not carrying painkillers and they "absolutely do not reimburse" such situations involving the weather. All in all, this was the last BA flight I will ever book and I am happy to go back to the US where customer service has an actual meaning and passenger wellbeing is always a priority."

Quick and smooth flight and efficient boarding. Security at Bristol was fairly quick. Bit of s queue at La Rochelle passport control however the passport officer was great with the kids and quite chatty joking with them."

My son has additional needs and so although his chronological age is 12 years his developmental age is only 7/8 years so being sat away from his parents was very stressful for him. The new, additional-cost priority boarding is a joke: almost everyone was a "priority". Several passengers didn't understand the long "priority" queue, so joined it only to be turned away at check-in."
