British Airways and Virgin Atlantic were both good. British Airways allows 2 checked bags for free - I believe Virgin does, too - and that is important for those of us visiting home after a long time. I like the fact that both the time of departure and landing at Mumbai airport were good times of the day for me. I prefer landings between 5 am to 8 pm and the British Airways flight landed in Mumbai at around 7:50 am (actual time was 6:40 am). Also, they provided vegetarian options with every meal without having to ask. There were vegan desserts on the plate, too (yum)! The only issue is that in economy, you don’t get much leg room. Otherwise, it is a nice flying experience.

I think having a short lay over and daytime flight (that becomes a nighttime flight) helps with jet lag. I arrived at my hotel in Japan at 4 pm which meant I could hang on for a normal bedtime!

Get good neck pillows. Good seat cushion for pain or numb muscles. Bring your own headphones as the input jack was normal.

Don’t go to Mumbai if you wanna take another fight to anywhere in India … HORRIBLE system .. first you have to pass the immigration… then take your luggage to transfer ….lines are crazy … then go through security AGAIN ..
