Cons: "I was not expecting to get on a full 8 hour flight with no meal unless I pay for it. Although the mistake on purchasing a flight without meal may come from my end, this logic of having to pay for a meal is not ideal whatsoever, this should never happen, especially when going on a 8 hour flight, meals should always be included regardless! never heard of this ever in my life of using westjet for 7 years , very disappointed."

Not all travellers carry accepted credit cards, including the woman sitting beside me. Because it is so common (formally standardized) for airlines to provide food on longer flights, many travellers assume their WestJet flight will the same and arrive unprepared. I normally love WestJet for their customer service, but these flight attendants talked down to customers with legitimate questions. I am choosing another airline for my next international flight, although reluctantly so - I hope to see some changes from WestJet for a more comfortable flight."

Pros: "I would give the crew 10 stars if I could! This was by far one of the best flights I’ve ever been on. I’m not a fan of having to pay/rent an iPad for entertainment, and it was a bit cold for my taste(I also had to pay for a tiny blanket). However, other than those two very minor things, it was a wonderful flight. I have never flown with a better crew, you could really tell they all actually enjoy their jobs. I loved that the pilot had a great sense of humor, he told a few funny jokes after we landed(while we were taxiing) it definitely helped make the time pass faster & I honestly think it put everyone in a good mood :) I have never been more satisfied with a flight. I will most definitely recommend WestJet to everyone I know, and will be my first choice for flying myself."

Pros: "Despite an ontime boarding, weather (thunderstorms) and air traffic congestion left us stuck on the tarmac for over 3 hours. Kudos to the captain for keeping us informed of every development and for taking the initiative to negotiate a southern flight plan routing that allowed us eventually to depart when other flights were being cancelled due to congestion in Heathrow airspace to the north. West Jet also put together a special team in Toronto to rebook passengers with connecting flights to later flights. This meant they had a new boarding pass ready and waiting for me by the time I got to Toronto, so the disruption was minimized."

Unfortunately, we ended up delayed on the tarmac for over 3 hours and they ran out of hot meals before they reached my seat row. I had to make do with crackers, cheese and fruit as my dinner. Lesson learned: always reserve my meal (or buy one) before boarding my flight - you never know what kind of delays will occur. To be fair, the crew did offer me a free glass of wine to go with it, which was a nice touch."

The only free thing is the soft drinks and that is even rationed. I flew with worst airline and for long flight they at least give a free meal."

Cons: "Flying out on December 24, the airline kept us at the airport for 6 (including 2 hours on the plane) hours before cancelling the flight because they could not get water pressure to the washrooms. We were supposed to leave for London (LHR) at 8:35pm and were notified of the cancellation at approx 2am on December 25. The only other flight that would be available would be on December 25 at the same time the 24th flight was supposed to leave. The service desk was not taking any requests for finding or re-booking flights, we were supposed to call their support number at 7am on the following day. We were offered cab fare accommodation from and back to the airport. They offered hotel stay which I passed on. They provided $60 of airport food that could only be used at certain restaurants, not compatible to purchase chips or drinks (non-alcoholic) from other stores. The coupons as compared to Air Canada, which are valid for a year were only valid for 24 hours. In the end the only "monetary" compensation I got from WestJet was 250 westjet dollars that expire in 12 months."

We were unaware that the bag wasn't included (our bad, of course), but when we pointed out that on Iceland Air check in there was NO place that asked for bags?? They said it was our fault for not "reading the fine print". We can only check in 24 hours in advance, so WHO would think to "manage trip"...36 hours in advance?? Especially in rural Iceland which is where we were 36 hours ahead of time. We would have gladly paid the discounted rate for the bag, but no on was willing to help us with that, so we got soaked for $77 and were told to take our concerns to Iceland air customer service."

Cons: "When we arrived at Keflavik airport the terminal was immensely crowded with several flights due to leave the US at once. It was overcrowded to the point of being uncomfortable and there was a 30min+ wait to buy food from the only shop. As a result we did not have time to grab a bite to eat between flights. My partner was subjected to additional TSA checks which I am aware is a random check and a nescessity but due to the amount of flights departing for the US this took an extra hour, and delayed our flight. I'm thankful that Iceland Air didn't leave without us but it was an immensely stressful experience that I don't wish to go through again."

People are standing in hallways like cattle. - Plane was louder than usual, even though we were seated near front, 2 rows behind first class. - insufficient legroom for taller people. - company charges extra for exit row seats. - no complimentary food, except for children under 12, for a transatlantic flight. - some trash (plastic bottles) left under seats from previous flight. - human waste smell from septic tank in cabin toward end of flight."

Pros: "Entertainment very good - lots of good movies that I had not seen. I love that there was not an extra charge. The service on the flight was good."
Cons: "The boarding process in Reykjavik was just awful. First we had no warning that Gate D would require such an extensive wait, so we spent too long in terminal eating and then panicked that we might miss our flight. Next there was a problem boarding our plane. There weren't enough buses, so we spent over an hour standing in a cramped line that snaked down the hall in an extremely crowded airport with people trying to squeeze though us. It was really uncomfortable. The worst was the crew waited to process people and send them in to the waiting area until a bus arrived, so this added to the wait time. I think tourism is popular in Iceland now and you all need to figure out how to make your systems better. I loved Iceland but I wold seriously need to think hard before booking another flight with you."

Cons: "Boarding was atrocious. There was a small boarding area and there were 5 flights boarding - 1 at 6:50 and the other 4 at 7pm. So many people standing in line in such a small space. It was very uncomfortable. staggering times would be so much more helpful for that small area. Also, on an 8 hour flight, you should provide some free food. Crew is not overly helpful or happy."

Pros: "Love iceland air for seat comfort and entertainment options, despite late boarding we still arrived on time."
Cons: "There was no communication in Reykjavik to our boarding area, they boarded 20 minutes late with no communication or update on the intercom. Then they just opened boarding with no communication, very strange. IcelandAir still operates in the dark ages with seating assignments, I was unable to select seats for my flight ahead of time because tickets were purchased through another ticket vendor other than the airline itself. I also don't like how all food has to be purchased even though it is a 7+ hour flight."

Being in the Customer Sevice industry I know this is unacceptable, I would never replace a damaged item with one that was not like the original or ask a customer to do so. I will not fly American Airlines any longer."

American's gates/terminals at LAX are also a pain--you never know if your flight will depart from the hinterlands of Tom Bradley terminal, or Terminal 4 or 6, which can mess you up with parking/security screening/scheduling. I will try to avoid flying American in the future. I didn't get any vouchers for the cancellation, either. BD"

The customer service was horrible plane was dirty it was an horrific experience. Alaska booked us with American Airlines. I will never travel American ever again. I'm considering using a different booking site. The experience was the worst I've ever had. Kayak Alaska and American are getting bad marks from me!!!!"
