Most of us in the cabin complained but these parents were pathetically weak and elected to allow it to continue. No sleep... spoiled experience.. miserable flight in this respect. Terrible Business Lounge 'Aspire' in Gatwick; dirty and poorly equipped - not even Prosecco on offer without paying £5 for a small glass. Qatar should stop using this dreadful place. Crew seemed to have stopped referring to the passengers by name and offer a less-personalised service in Business than we have become accustomed to. The food choices while good, have been paired back as have the selection of wines."

We were scheduled to start boarding at a certain time and we didn’t actually board until 45 minutes later. When we asked the attendants when we would begin boarding and did they have any instructions they were extremely rude, laughing with one another and taking selfies. When we we asked for the third time they brushed us off with a time frame. It was extremely disappointing."

Cons: "Check in staff and customer service reps were unprofessional and unhelpful. We had an 8 hour layover on both legs, no access to the lounge or a hotel was provided. I explained we were on our way to our wedding and it would be nice to have some rest. They were rude with the way they told us no, they even suggested we sleep on the floor of the airport. We ended up paying for the lounge, but then so did about 1000 other people, there was no room for us to sit together. My wife's allergy free meal wasn't provided on the first flight. We had to speak to about 5 people to get a meal ticket at the airport and they were very reluctant to give us one. I told them she was hungry and needed to eat. They told us we could take the meal we got with the ticket on board, when we went to use the ticket we had no choice in meal, were given a coke at 6am and weren't allowed to heat up our meal or take it on board. In summary, all the cabin crew on all 4 flights were excellent. Staff at Doha airport were incredibly poor."

The flight attendant even gave me some tips to ensure nobody sat there. This flight was on an A380 so the plane was large and it felt spacious."
Cons: "There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. I would always bring my own water on the flight, but Australian regulations prevent more than 100mls being carried on flight. 4) The service is inconsistent, some staff are just downright rude and others are incredibly friendly. The time waiting after pressing the call bell is excessive and in one case my drink never arrived. 5) Unlike other airlines, they don’t give you a “menu” to chose from for the inflight meal. Instead they just come around asking “Chicken, Lamb or vegetarian”, and lack any real understanding of what’s actually in the food. 6) When you order a drink, they open the can pour some into a cup but don’t give you the remainder in the can. 7) The inflight wifi is expensive. 19.95 USD for 180mb puts them at one of the most expensive. Overall, I would have expected a bit more from an airline such as Etihad."

They were not willing to accommodate my request to reroute to a new destination (which actually is cheaper than my original destination) as i was about to miss my consular appointment due to the flight cancellation and this was the only way I could make it. They outright said it's not possible, didn't even check if the flight to the new destination has availability or not. The staff especially at Heathrow is a joke, don't even bother reasoning with them."

However because of the way they hsndled this the delay turned out to be a blessing! Etihad put us up for the 12hour daytime delay in the magnificent Marriot Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The communication and transfer were handled very well. It was a painless process and we got to enjoy a lovely rest before being transferred back to the airport and flying home. Pretty much a faultless experience and one that would see me fly Etihad again without hesitation."

Cons: "The service from Abudhabi to Cochin was worse than the so called cattle class.One simple instance, the food menu which was trumpeted and given to each passenger in the economy class, had three main entrees,viz Fish/chicken/vegetarian. When the food trolley came to my seat in the mid section of the plane, the hostess with almost a desperate look told me that only the vegetarian dish was available.I told her that I definetly need the fish or chicken dish.She scrounged around and ultimately gave me the fish choice whereas all the rest around me had to do with the vegetarian fare.Why this stupidity of a grandiose menu card?...The menu list states a list of liquor available in flight in the economy class.The hostess was serving the same only to those who specifically asked for it and that too as if she has to pay for the same.What a shame on the airline.You folks can do much better than this, in the so called cattle class.Sitting in a preassurised tube for more than 21 hours to reach ones destination is agony by itself, but then getting into your flight after seeing the goodies offered are only in paper, is a sad disappointment."

My child cannot stand still for long and runs away. When I stopped him to talk him though the process so he doesn’t run, we got hurried. Empathy will go a long way...."

It was embarrassing as we had brought luggage as per tickets issued. IF THE AGENT APPOINTED BY OMAN AIR HAD ISSUED A WRONG TICKET, IT IS THE PRINCIPAL WHO IS RESPONSIBLE WHICH IN THIS CASE IS OMAN AIR. IT WAS A BAD EXPERIENCE AND OMAN AIR HAS TO COMPENSATE. The entertainment screens did not work for quite some time."

Cons: "I bought expensive souvenirs from Kathmandu duty free and they refused to me at boarding gate that it's heavy, after long explanation they took my bag and said that I'd collect it at Abu Dhabi airport but never put it on flight even. Supervisor was extremely unreasonable and was not willing to understand that weight issue doesn't apply on duty free shopping."

Pros: "It is worth it to pay a little more for exit seats. They were very comfortable. The agents at checkin were very helpful. I came with a backpack, a roller bag I often can carry on and another bag to check.The bag allowance was just one to check. They wouldn't let me carry on my roller bag because it was too heavy. They encouraged me first to rearrange the luggage to make the one light enough to carry on, by putting some in the other bag that was being checked, But I explained that bag was already full. So they urged me to get my two bags wrapped together so that there would not be an extra bag charge. The ticket agent also came out to look for me---I hadn't realized they boarded so early---and walked with me to the gate. That was very nice of them. There were snacks and beverages on both flights and friendly stewardesses, and lots of movies to choose from."

We arrived in Oman and many missed our flights by only minutes to find ourselves stuck from 8 am to 2 am the next day as only 2 flights a day are offered. They never thought to hold the flights to await our arrival. A hotel was supplied but it charged for internet(we were told by the airlines it was free) had very good meals but NO tea or coffee in the rooms or offered after breakfast without a charge. The airline said we could sleep until midnight and then a shuttle would return us for the 2 am and 2:45 am flights but the hotel insisted on us going at 10pm . driver wanted off was all we thought. Second flight was an older plane ,terrible meal and no individual movie or tv systems ."

Further, we were then not allowed to disembark the aircraft until they were filled out despite being at the gate. Worst of all, nearly half the suitcases didn't make it to our destination. Half the passengers then had to fill out forms to make a claim. Even worse, this process alone took an unreasonably long amount of time. General logistical nightmare. Very poorly executed operation."

It was a full flight but I have lower back issue which got aggravated due to uncomfortable seat. I was sitting straight through out the flight. it would have been better if I was informed about it in advance. I was never even able to do web checking due to their system error neither at home nor was able to use self checking system at the airport and was informed by staff at airport it's recurring problem. It surprises me that it's not fixed causing passengers pain at the airport and flight."
Pros: "On time, comfortable, good leg room in economy class and decent service you can expect. This was a Dreamliner service from Dubai to Kochi. Can't comment about onboard service as I was comfortably sleeping during both trips and chose to skip it. On my previous trip from Kochi to Dubai last month, the flight reached Dubai 40 mins ahead of the schedule. I would highly recommend this service over Emirates flight to Kochi."

Everywhere you see a lot of air India officials but only on in ten appears to know his job. Very unprofessional, incompetent, customer unfriendly. What a pathetic airline. Btw the frigid provided is a meager vegetarian buffet at a restaurant which is a few blocks away from the transit hotel."

It took hours and many arguments with various staff of Heathrow to get us re-booked to other flights. Our flight was scheduled at 12:30pm; I finally got re-booked at 5:00pm, and left Heathrow at 10pm! Longest day ever! I have flown across the world in less time than what it took me to fly from London to NY."
