I tried to explain what had happened, and he interrupted me. When I said I would write to Caroline McCall (EasyJet CEO), he immediately told me to do so and arrogantly offered to give me his name. Yet he does not even work for EasyJet, but for Menzies. When I asked him not to tell me what to do, he replied that I was very rude. Yet at no time had I swore or raised my voice. He later repeated, gratuitously, this accusation, in a threatening manner. QUITE EXTRAORDINARY attitude to customer service, the idea that the customer is always right, etc. It appears that passengers are there to do Menzies a favour 3) Mangled English announcements over the intercom. Bored voice, running through information like a racing commentator, so one could not make any of it out. DISGRACEFUL CONDESCENSION TO PASSENGERS"

The pilot who made the announcement made it seem like a minor inconvenience and got the times wrong twice. Of course the strike isn't their fault but their handling of it couldn't have been worse."

We were then directed to another service department for a 55 pound charge each! Which was the same as our original flight. I did not receive any notification email to check in ahead of time. This was a very stressful time for my traveling partner and I and do not feel obliged to be paying the consequences given the circumstances. I am hoping kayak will honor us as loyal customers and reimburse us for these unforseeabke fees. This would be greatly appreciated. I can provide receipt and documentation if needed. Thanks"

This caused a block to the bathrooms and people waiting long periods and finally just stuffing in all over the place to get passed the carts. Expensive flight for us since we had to buy the same day. While most of the security attendants were great, I did have to wait a very long time to get a pat down I requested rather than go through the scanner (required to be in a separate room) that was 95% the same as the one they were giving everyone after they came through the scanner, with the only difference being a hand and belt line swipe and paperwork. I have had this same procedure done in three airports prior on this trip and all were more aggressive/thorough and did not require a separate room and extreme wait. Though again, all the female staff were great."

Also, the lift to allow our daughter, in a wheelchair, access to the plane was broken and her Mom and I had to help her carefully and with a lot of effort up the plane 20 step ramp from the tarmac to the plane's rear door. When we were finally given a gate number to board (barely 30 mins before our scheduled take off) we were directed to a closed gate with no staff or plane and waited there for over half an hour before Ryanair staff arrived. When staff members arrived (after the scheduled departure time) they had no idea what was going on or why there was a delay. I clearly heard one of them say, "I don't know why all these people are here." The lack of information was frustrating and it was unfortunate the staff at the gate had to try to deal with a problem they had absolutely no clue about let alone seem to even care about. I do not plan on flying with Ryanair again because of this horrible customer service experience."
