Pros: This particular flight was parked at the closest bay to immigration at Heathrow. So a late boarding and arrival was made early through not having a mile long walk to passport control.

Pros: The actual boarding functioned ok and despite a late departure we got to Brussels ok. They also announced our boarding gates which helped.

Cons: The check in was shockingly bad. I had pre-checked in, but that did not help. I got put in a line for people who had not checked in. It was not possible to ask to be in the right line. Most of the people behind me were moved to another line while we waited for 30 minutes. Good 6.6

Pros: Crew is kind, polite and patient. Food portions are adequate. Entertainment is on par on upgraded 747s to other aircraft in the fleet now.

Cons: Be careful of the Chicken Curry main. Wasn’t expecting it to be extremely spicy. Seat pitch is tight but generally comfortable due to the unique headrests of these new seats. USB power was provided. Arrival into JFK was terrible. BA’s T7 is so crowded and dated I could literally touch the ceilings above my head while waiting 2 hours for immigration crammed into desolate conditions.

Mediocre 2.0

Pros: We didn't crash.

Cons: Crew members seemed drunk and kept stepping on my foot that wasn't in the aisle and pumping into me, boarding was 2 hours late with no communication, food service was poor, hard to get water and disboarding was unorganized. I've taken many bad flights and this was by far the worst and most of is was the terrible attitudes and behaviors of the crew.

OK 5.0

Pros: Crew was wonderful, the boarding process was efficient. Heathrow Terminal 5 was chaotic and there are minimal amenities once you leave the main terminal to reach your gate.

Cons: This was a codeshare flight operated by British Airways. The plane was an older, uncomfortable 747-400. I'm not sure how old it was, but there were ashtrays affixed to the doors of the bathrooms. It departed and arrived close to an hour late. There were also a number of hyper social passengers onboard who gathered in the aisle or near the exit doors drinking liberally and socializing loudly. While the excellent flight crew tried to manage them, they were undeterred. Food was mediocre. My entertainment screen didn't work, the passenger in front of me fully reclined their seat prior to takeoff (during the delay) and didn't return it to upright until moments before landing. All and all an unpleasant journey.

Pros: The flight crew was phenomenal, especially Daniella. Somehow we wound up with seats right next to the bathroom door, which would have been a pretty uncomfortable situation for a variety of reasons, but the flight wasn't full, and she helped us find a suitable place to sit. Also, my wife and I usually take our tea with honey vs. milk and sugar. Even though honey is usually one of the options for tea, she found a way to accommodate our request. The lunch meals were the best I can remember in a long time on an airline flight. They might have been the best I've ever had. The chicken curry was authentic, flavorful and spicy. Frankly my outbound flight had problems. My luggage got damaged. The transfer experience in Manchester left a LOT to be desired. I wasn't planning to use Virgin Atlantic again, but this flight crew (Daniella especially) redeemed Virgin Atlantic. They were attentive, pleasant, diligent.

Cons: Only thing I didn't like about this flight was the boarding area. Once you get into that the area, you don't really have access to appetizing food (only vending machines) or even restrooms. That's one thing that could be improved.

When I mentioned the ground crew, who had long conversations with the people checking in, he said it was not their fault at all. It was not impressive.

Pros: Helpful crew. They reset the screen, came around with blankets, headphones and generally tried to make the space habitable.

Cons: When I am asked to book my seat, I am usually shown a map which has no reflection on the overall reality. The seat I select is normally allocated to me but if the plane is not full (unusual) I am told there are unavailable seats that would provide more choice.

Pros: Everyone on the team clearly showed up to work making every effort to do their best for the passengers. British Airways is serious about being a top choice Cartier, regardless of class of service and it shows in management, terminal care, operations and amenities and each aspect of the flight.

Cons: The food was the least positive aspect, but still much better than most. The pacing of beverage, snacks and meals was well coordinated.

Pros: Direct flight and excellent service from attendants

Cons: Seat selection was changed to middle seats without prior notice and the seats are so close together , when the women in front reclined her seat the dinner tray did not fit. An attendant eventually asked her to put her seat upright. Once dinner was over, back to a recline position, far too closer to the seat behind.

Prices are per person, are for e–tickets and include all taxes & fees in GBP.

We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We aggregate tons of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car hires can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.

More questions or if you have a bad price to report to us
Please send us an and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
