And the plane was old generation 747 and the entertainment was same vintage: screen was not very bright and the selection of films was poor. No plug to charge electronics. We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

And when we reached Munich, we waited more than a half hour for luggage that came in spits and spurts... It was the perfect final flourish to a miserable 12 plus hours on your airline. I'm thrilled at the prospect of my return to LA next week and what surprises may be in store for me!"

Also screen to choose movies, TV programs need some new screens not easy to press and get a response."

I asked my boyfriend to talk to the staff on phone, and the staff told my BF that he didn't know my English was not good. I said to him loudly that I had told him , but the manager besides said "don't shout at my staff"to me, even without asking me what happened . Throughout the entire time waiting for the luggage to be delivered, there was no sense of urgency or concern on the part of British Airways. It seems missing luggage is just Business as Usual at British Airways."

Unfortunately because of loading delays on our original flight, we arrived in Heathrow 40 minutes late. The crew said that 60 minutes is the designated minimum but we used all of the 80 minutes plus, and it airport was NOT crowded. If BA is connecting to BA, then you have a responsibility ahead of time to address this problem and keep connecting passengers from getting overly distressed in a strange airport."

Also, contrary to what was suggested on the Ryanair web site regarding fast check-in, priority boarding and access to lounges, none of those Flying 200+ legs per year on Star Alliance flights in business and up, I truly hope I never have to take such a horrendous flight again."

Flew BA not long ago and remembered how nice a flight can actually be. Oh, also Ryanair staff seem like they’re recruited on their ability to be uncommunicative and not to care about it. Amazingly consistent in this respect, but to their credit, you know what to expect."

My carry on luggage was taken from me and placed in the hold even though I booked my flight long before Ryanair changed their rules about charging for carry on luggage. The sticky tab that the member of staff placed on my back has left marks all over the handle."

I get that the tickets were "non-refundable" but at least offer vouchers, credit, or be totally a stand-up company and refund the tickets. It wasn't buyers remorse, trust me, we would have preferred to be in Portugal, rather than sitting in a hospital hoping and praying for his recovery."

Cons: "I booked through Kayak and although it does warn about extra charges for baggage, I feel I was duped because I booked for 3 check-in bags at additional cost thinking that would mean for outbound flight and return but once the booking transferred to Last minute on completion it turned out I only had check-in baggage for the outbound flight (different airline) and not for the Ryanair return flight. Ryanair charges more if you book check-in baggage after the original booking so the flights were much more expensive than I had thought. Kayak did not help with this issue. I would not use them again."

Cons: "I've been using the same bag for years and never had to pay for luggage when flying Ryanair. My bag fits perfectly in those metal things they put in the airport. With plenty of room to spare. The lady at the check in said it was too big. Then I showed her how my bag fits with plenty of room to spare. But then she said it also needs to go up and down if I put it sideways. Basically my bag by volume is much smaller than the standard, but is about half centimeter wider. This was enough for her to force me to pay 50 Euros. I didn't believe I should pay but there was no option. It was either pay or not fly since boarding was almost finished. She made me sign a paper to"acknowledge" that my bag wasn't the right fit. I had no option. I really feel this treatment was un-dignifying. I will never fly with Ryanair again."

Poor service at the terminal, with unfriendly staff, no proper instruction about what to expect in terms of all the hidden fees for bags and other items, and an unorganized boarding process. The plane itself was clean, but very cramped, and the process of forcing random seating is just totally meaningless. The flight is already so overbooked that there is no chance any seats would be left unfilled, yet you split up couples, families and friends by forcing them to pay for assigned seats. Very poor customer service. There are many who say the money saved is not worth the hassle if you are not flying alone, and I agree with that. The one good thing I can say is that there were no problems with the baggage handling, but again, this is to be expected, not applauded. Poor quality service, Ryanair, as evident by the fact that your own employees were voicing their complaints to several passengers about the company. This should really be improved, but given that they are not under any significant competition, and people need a way to get to the islands, it is unlikely this will happen. I hope that my negative review, as many others, will force the management to make necessary changes to improve the service provided."

I assumed people were just being hard on them. Nope! I will either avoid this airline or assume an extra 2-3 hours of wasted time anytime I fly with them!!"

We were required to surrender a bag at boarding because cabin baggage was overbooked, but most people took theirs on anyway. While we followed the rules, we paid the penalty of having to wait for the bag to be retrieved. It cost nothing but time, fortunately. But the bag surrender before the flight was not convenient or easy to monitor. Also agree with the other reviewer that online checkin is required to avoid a fee. And the requirement for non-EU persons to have a PRINTED boarding pass was a pain. Luckily, our hotel agreed to do this for us, but many travelers don't have the option."

I have been on other airlines that have had upcharges, but these were taken care of by the same agent that checks you in, 1) I had a charge that I thought was included the price 2) II had to step out of line to a separate line in order to pay and then take the receipt of payment back to the gate agent. Really annoying, especially if you are pressed for time for your flight. It reminded me of Spirit airlines in the US, nickel and diming you all along, where you end up paying almost as much - or more - for a lot less. I had heard stories about the cheap ways of the airline. They have been confirmed and I won't fly them again."
