Avianca has a culture of rude and “take advantage of people” culture. I went through hell on my last flight. Left us on our connection flight in Cali, Colombia made us (15 passengers) wait for our bus we all had to pickup and carry our luggage’s out to the streets rcause they don’t have enough money to pay for a cart when we were actually in that situation because for them. Next day we were transported (they show up 2 hours later from the promised time) we were transported to the airport to actually catch a flight to another different city to then arrive wait 4 more hours to catch a plane to our final destination... a 3 hours and 45 minutes flight from Miami turned into a 4 different city, hotel and nightmare, luggage’s were broke and everybody turned out to be rude rude rude rude!!!!!!... I am still waiting for my $200 promised Boucher. This is my last time flying with AVIANCA. I am a frequent flyer and have made the decision to fly AA from now On... Actually just purchased a ticket which was actually $100 more than Avianca... nothing like great service and respect towards your clients... I’m also making sure NOBODY flys with AVIANCA."

She quickly pulled up the rest of my itinerary on the screen and immediately started re-booking my short domestic flight to the next plane. I didn't have to argue, beg, plead or pay anything. I'm supremely grateful!"

After one hour inside the airplane it was returned to the gate and the flight was suspended. They transfer us to the next flight at 0535 after two hours complaining. Its original plan was accomodate all passenger in the first three flight to Cali. We felt that they fail to indemnify correctly if it considered the high price of the flight tickets."
Delta does a great job in general. However, the “Comfort+“ seats weren’t worth the money. I sat in both seats, and I compared the width of the seats and the distance from the seat edge to the back of the seat in front of it. There was a difference of about 2” in the seat width and 1” in the leg room. Very disappointing.

The meals were mediocre and the cabin staff were just barely the good side of unhelpful, officious and unfriendly The flight was inexplicably 2 hours or more late in excellent weather. No apologies given, the flight that was originally scheduled for 8 pm left close to 11 pm. While boarding the only light is a purplish ambient lighting that made it impossible to read anything, including the safety material, until the inflight entertainment was loaded up (the lights are only controlled through software-actuated virtual buttons on the screen). The inflight entertainment system is hard to use, too, designed by idiots for use by geniuses. But the very worst thing was the stress caused by Virgin Atlantic in just about guaranteeing that we would miss this flight. On our outbound voyage in January, VA, for reasons nobody knows, booked an ADDITIONAL leg from JHB to CPT on BA at 12:30 pm, even though we were already ON the earlier 9:30 BA flight we'd booked and paid for. Then, when we didn't show up for this spurious flight (because we were already in the air) we didn't book (BA swears they have evidence that VA made this booking), our return flight CPT to JBG three months later was cancelled WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE. If I hadn't been interested in knowing, the day before the flight, if the return BA flight had a meal, I would have showed up at the CPT airport in April and discovered that I had no way to get to the VA flight in JHB! As it was I spent an entire day trying to get back on the flight I'd already paid for. I advise EVERYONE who uses VA to reconfirm flights over and over. There is still no explanation for this. I will never NEVER fly VA again. They are not to be trusted."

Many economy class passengers queued there and at the end they were all redirected to check-in desk #3, as that was designated for Economy class passengers (however not any Lufthansa sign was shown above. When I mentioned to the ground crew (Celebi) that they should improve signs and not mishandle travellers, the person in charge (Nikolett Magyar) said to me arrogantly that they are right, and nothing they would do to improve the signs and passengers' information. This is far what I expect from LH representative, even if subcontracted and not an employee. That behaviour made my journey sour as travelling - especially with not a budget airline - is not just getting from A to B, but an experience which is worth to remember for good reasons, but not certainly for bad ones."

Cons: "Where to begin? During the booking process, there was no indication my travel partner and I would be flying Air Canada, and not Lufthansa. We were seated in the last row of the plane with painfully little legroom — even for two women of relatively small stature. The plane was not equipped with modern conveniences of operational wifi, music, or any other means of entertainment over the ten-hour flight. We were nearly an hour late to depart, but were unable to hear anything over the speakers regarding the cause for the delay, nor could we hear any of the flight attendants' safety instructions. What we could hear, however, was the surprisingly loud and nearly constant DINNNGGGG of the passengers' call buttons as they summoned the flight attendants. Because the flight was an overnighter, we attempted to sleep, but it was nearly impossible to do so due to the noise. I had earplugs in and could still hear the chimes, which were positioned right above our seats and made for an unpleasant experience and cranky travelers. The food was subpar as expected, but it would've been nice to be surprised with something resembling a fresh piece of fruit or vegetable. The flight crew was polite and one of the attendants took pity on us and offered a complimentary shot of whiskey, which partially alleviated the discomfort of the experience. That man is a saint and we surely hope he is better taken care of by this airline than we were. Overall a miserable experience. Will definitely rethink flying both Lufthansa and Air Canada in the future."

I was seated in a middle seat "J" (I believe) in row 37 or 39. The men were receiving from the stewardesses repeatedly two glasses at a time and kept going back to the galley and getting two glasses of wine at a time Although they were loud, congregating in the aisle around rows 37 and 39 they were not limited in what they could drink. The two on either side of me were disrespectful of my personal space and were very inappropriate. I got up and went to the galley behind my seat to ask the stewardesses to get me another seat. During this time the guys kept coming back to this galley for more wine still taking two at a time. The stewardesses explained that the plane was full. Others complained also. I then asked the stewardesses if since they were over serving these guys, would they trade one of their jump seats with me. At this point they cut the guys off and got the pursar. She talked to them and ignored my personal safety concerns and said no one gets on a plane drunk (yeah, right) and that they would now behave and were asleep. That's why they are still talking at the top of their lungs and standing in the aisle? I asked. I wish I had video recorded this, I did not as others with kids in the aisles across from me did. I hope their videos go viral Not impressed with Lufthansa"

I waited a full 1 1/2 hours. No other explanation. At the very end, when they finally put me on a flight, they chastised me for not checking in online---this was NEVER offered to me by Lufthansa on my flight there or on the return. With other airlines they always send me an email to check in online ahead of time. Lufthansa did not. I could not have been more disappointed with this checking in experience with Lufthansa. Again, the worst in my life and would be cause for me not to recommend Lufthansa to others. Otherwise, the flight itself and the actual crew were great. So disappointing to have such an unprofessional check in experience."

They need more staff to work at check in desk or change flight hours. There were 2 flights of LATAM at the same time and other 2 flights near my flight hour so the line to check in were too long and it didn’t move fast. I understand that now they take more time because they have to check many papers because of COVID-19. But I nearly miss my flight. I barely arrived to the gate 5 minutes before departure time! And obviously this things leads to delay.

People pushing, standing right next to you, when you get on the plane all the old women who do not know how to read always walk to the back of the plane when they're supposed to be sitting in seat 7? Been there? Seen that? Yes ! Seen it a million times. What makes this particular flight so unbelievable, and maybe it was just a training day because there was a lot of airline personnel at the check in kiosk, but I have never processed on to a flight in Columbia, given up my baggage, and be walking to the gate so fast in my life! I truly hope this is something that will become standard, and I pray to God that the other airlines especially Viva will learn how to do!"

I had to ask another attendant to please ask for our seats back. Finally after a while we got them back but it wasn't a Pleasant experience. They didn't have enough headphones to give everyone. My son and I had to share one headphone. The food was really bad for an international flight, Not even the wine was given without paying for it"

Tam would redirect me to Tam airlines and Lan would redirect me to Lan. The Lan customer service was unable to get into the Tam airlines flight so we emded up with the most awful chairs in the airline. I wish they would fix their website so checkin isn't as frustrating as it was for me. I understand the airlines merged but if each airline is unable to access eachothers flight then how exactly did you merge? ALSO when we got off the first flighy to connect in this one they gave us no explanation until 20min later to where we should commect to this flight. They MADE US WALK A 20min WALK TO ANOTHER TERMINAL WITH ALL OUR BAGS. It was awful. If your gonna need people to walk to another terminal the least you can do is supply a shuttle."

Cons: "flight was delayed two hours because they couldn't find a single American airlines employee to sign off on some log book.sat on tarmac two hours because no one could sign a piece of paper!!! so obviously we missed our connecting international flight to dublin. called american customer svc, they made us call british airways, british airways said we had to call kayak, kayak said we had to call American. thanks for all the great customer svc. this is why everyone hates flying and all airlines are garbage. then finally in chicago american customer svc desk said they rebooked us on a British airways flight the same night, we traversed (ran) the entire chicago ohare airport only to find out british airways said we were not on that flight, were completely full and we had to go back to american. literally had to leave airport to get on train to go back to american terminal. they swear we are now (the next day) on this aer lingus flight despite our inability since last night to try and check in to that flight because aer lingus website doesnt work, no one answers their customer service number and their ticket counter at airport doesnt open until noon. suffice it to say we are still not on a flight to Dublin, ive missed an entire day of a limited vacation, and i will NEVER fly american again."

They darkened the windows when it was dark outside and they darkened the cabin, so we couldn't look out the window. It was dark outside--why the need to darken the windows?? The FA was rather slow in serving and clearing trays. She was not interested in going around and asking for refills - when I inquired about it at dessert time, she didn't come back for 15 minutes and I had to ring the call button - she informed me they didn't have my drink of choice, so it was OK for her not to come back and tell me that. Service was terrible in First Class. American should seriously do something about that."
Cons: "I never experienced the flight because I wasn't given a seat. The airline oversold the flight and I never got to go. I missed my once in a lifetime experience because the airline is greedy at my (and other people's) expense. I missed out on a priceless experience. Not only that, the bag that I checked did not make it off the flight so I remained in DC while my bag went to Medellin. I had to purchase new toiletries and had to make arrangements to get back to the airport. As of now, I do not plan on choosing American Airline nor LATAM for my future flights."
