Location of the hotel was close to downtown and many activities I would like wireless internet in guest rooms (for free)
It was a great location and the staff was very friendly. I spent a lot of time looking for a room that would comfortably fit 3 adults. I was traveling with my 19 year old daughter and my 67 year old mother. I specifically booked and paid for a "triple room". When we got to the room there were 2 small double beds. Not at all what I expected for 3 adults or for $400 per night. Be very aware of what you are actually getting for your money. This was not at all comfortable for 3 regular sized adults. I will say everything else was fine but I felt very ripped off for what we paid vs. what we got. I could have booked a regular room anywhere for much less.
Spacious room Had to wait for my room Heating went into cooling so too sensitive and could not control to heat only. Bath tub did not drain well.
Bed linens and beds were comfy. Motelish
Was ok Thanks Dirty cutlery/plates left by the cleaning staff left in the passage for more than 24 hours.
Friendly, professional staff. Great accommodations. Perfect location. Especially liked the on-site dining options.
Additional price for fittness facilities ($12 per/person per day);Long-distance rates (over $10 per minute !!!), spring water provided in rooms - almost $6 per 1,89L bottle
I liked the central location of the hotel. I think the charge for internet-acces is ridiculous, the room-service sometimes took very long (1,5 hour) and they tried to charge me more than what I had originally booked for.
Comfort and the attention of the reception employees. The location is also excellent. The room was not clean. I found a dirty glass under the bed. Besides, dirty plates remained for long hours in front of the doors of some rooms. I really hope it was an exception: that´s why I keep on recommending the hotel.
Nothing!!!! Because my credit card was charged twice for $1068.72!!!! And it absolutely ruined my trip!!!! My credit card was charged twice for $1068.72!!!! And it absolutely ruined my trip!!!! Also... When making my reservation through Booking.com, the Sheraton Chicago didn't have my reservation in their system!!! Booking.com had to fax over my reservation twice, hence the double charge on my credit card!!!!
The location was perfect! We were able to shop, enjoy the nightlife, and take in the Chicago Marathon. Everything was close by. The price was pretty high, but we stayed over Columbus Day/Chicago Marathon weekend so I guess that rooms were at a premium.
I enjoyed the view of the Chicago River, watching the excursion boats, view of the Trump hotel.
Is the best, perfect ubication
location need sound proof windows,,,,could hear sirens all night
Great location Dirty bathtub, lights out in bathroom of room 541
Pretty hotel with nice location Thin walls. Noisy halls. Some staff friendly but others not. Got a good deal but wouldn't pay full price for tiny room. Bathroom needs updating/ more thorough cleaning (shower curtain ripped and some mold on end of shower curtain rod)
Nice bar and restaurant in the hotel Very slow elevators, mini-bar costs were outrageous. No one wants those any more. Guests would like a frig and microwave. Cost of room was outrageous for how mediocre the rooms were. The parking is a total rip off at $67 a night.
Location was fantastic and newly renovated older tower was lovely. Pool and health center were fantastic When we parked in the garage, no one offered to help us with our luggage. The parking fee was astronomical at $67 a night. I was charged $400 plus dollars for a mini bar that we never touched and it was obviously from another room as the names on the requests were not us. One employee said she would have to investigate and it would delay our checkout. NOT GOOD! I called the front desk again and spoke to someone else who immediately removed it
Location, staff, great pool and work put facilities. We were able to walk where ever we needed to go. Architecture is beautiful. Great place to stay. Comfortable rooms, nice view. We loved our stay and will go back. Need a better coffee maker. Small microwave in room. Fridge for your own soft drinks. Mini bar was very expensive
From the moment you pull up in front of the InterContinental you know you've made a wise choice. A friendly, suited doorman opened the cab door and welcomed us into the beautiful lobby decorated with a 4-story Christmas tree. We checked in and an exceptionally friendly clerk, Mariana, made sure we were given a quiet corner room, per our request. Our room was clean, spacious, and newly renovated - but not overdone. The wi-fi was fast, the bathroom toiletries lovely, and the room was quiet. Stop and see the pool -- it is the original, and its gorgeous. How often do you see chandeliers over a swimming pool that once boasted Esther Williams as a swimmer? Best of all, the location. Between Ontario Street and the Chicago Tribune, right before the river -- perfect! When we stepped off the elevator the rug was worn and shabby. This was our only complaint about the decor.
Lack of comfortable lounge area in the bar area. Years back there was a very ample lounge area for either for couples or larger groups. Too bad they eliminated it. I am also glad the re-opened the pool early.
This Intercontinental is in a great location on the Magnificent Mile. The rooms are spacious and the bed and bathrooms are nicely updated. The pool was very nice as well. I would recommend the valet if you are staying a over 24 hours they have a flare rate and you can leave and come back. Parking around the area is just as expensive but you can't leave and comeback. They also gave me late checkout of 2 PM.
This hotel has a long history and floor plans are quirky but the rooms are remodeled and modern. Our room in the historic tower had a 31st floor view that happened to have windows facing 3 different directions for a 270 degree view from Michigan Avenue to Lake Michigan (I think it was the only one on the floor with that expansive view). Minibar charges when we didnt use anything is always really annoying. I would have hoped a nice hotel like the Intercontinental wouldn't have this issue.
The location was top notch in a historic building- it was pointed out during our architectural boat tour! Our room's windows were inches from a brick wall which made me feel very unsafe. No notice that it was an interior rom when we booked. In addition, we could hear the wedding reception going on below. Sure this hotel has plenty of rooms, but do you really want to chance it that you will be placed in one without a window?
I liked all the design of the cuilding structure and room. I did not like that check in was at 3:00pm but ghey did not let me check in until almost an hour later because my room wasnt ready and there was suppose to be a small fridge there but it was locked up ,So couldnt keep my food fresh.
I was charged by both Kayak as well as the hotel. I'm now going on my second week of "working" with a totally incompetent staff on getting reimbursed. I have received phone verification over a week ago that I was going to be reimbursed. 5 Phone calls later I received an email confirmation, yet I have yet to receive any reimbursement. When asked to speak to a manager I was told the manager was aware of the situration and my reimbursement would be received in the form of a credit on my credit card - that was 5 days ago and still no credit.
Rooms looked great and was very comfortable. The view was great. For a room that costs 250.00 and up being nickel and dimed for things is kind of silly. Pay for wifi??? Really. Parking was also pretty outragous. The restaurant was pretty over priced for the quality as well. I understand payibg fir your suroundings but was a bit much..... We've stayed there quite a few times now. May be time to try another place.
very modern, great location!
We were very happy with the location of the hotel and check in staff, as well as style of the room, loved the pool and outdoor deck overlooking navy pier Restaurant staff was rude and inattentive, not many amenities at the hotel that are standard almost everywhere else, room was small and did not have good views (requested in advance lake view on high floor)
The rooms were so nice! Very clean, chic, modern. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable. The lobby was incredible. The location was awesome, with views overlooking Lake Michigan and Navy Pier. Our remote batteries were dead and it took about 5 minutes for someone to visit our room with a new remote. The service was excellent! The sliding door on the bathroom; the bathroom wasn't very private. The gym was not as large as it looked in photos I saw online, and it was incredibly busy.
Great room, great food at the restaurant. Almost double charged me for valet, but corrected it as soon as I showed them.
clean rooms. great HD TV high price for sauna ($35). drinks expensive.
Service was fantastic, and the newly remodeled facilities were eye-catching and beautiful, as well as functional. The location was fantastic too. I felt nickeled-and-dimed for things that should have been cheaper, or free. For instance, parking: $65 per day to park is outrageously expensive, even for Chicago, and should have been much cheaper, or free, for what we payed to stay in the hotel. I get that it's not a Holiday Inn...but that surprised me. Also...buy more than single-ply TP, and fix the cable television. Didn't work the whole time we were there.
We did not expect a room with a view but we got one and it was amazing! The rooms were also very large and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We were right beside the elevators so we heard them often but we got used to it. At first if just sounded like a plane flying overhead until we figured it out but it was no where near a deal breaker for booking again.
Love the location near River & Lake Michigan. River walk has so much to offer right outside the doors. Walkable to most major attractions. Just off from the crowds of Michigan Ave. This is our 4th time and always my first choice when visiting Chicago.
Nice views from the room and the fitness center. Very clean and quiet despite how busy the lobby was with guests! Low, popcorn ceilings really make the room feel more like a motel than a high-rise! The room was a bit outdated overall. Also the location was not super easy to access on foot - ended up taking more cabs than we would have liked.
It is in a nearly ideal location near Michigan Avenue, shopping, restaurants, etc The audiovisual support for my meeting was abysmal
We've been going to the Chicago hotel for many yrs. We enjoy the location.
Location was great for Michigan Avenue shopping as well as Shedd Aquarium, Museums, and Navy Pier. The pool and hot tub were great. The water temperature was perfect for kids. The view was excellent from the top floor, which is where the pool/fitness area is located. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Elevator system was easy. The overall design of the hotel was a bit unique and differentiated from other Chicago 4 Star + choices. We valet parked the car. When you leave, you go down to the parking garage to exit. The corner to drive out and up the ramp is super tight . I ended up scraping my back door pretty substantially. It was operator error for sure. I would just caution others to be careful as they leave or ask one of the valet guys who do this all the time to drive it through the corner.
I booked a room in Chicago at the Swissotel for two nights and after reading the horror stories about kayak bookings through getaroom, I was a bit apprehensive. Based on my travel plans and circumstances, I was able to risk it and make other lodging plans if necessary, so I risked the inconvenience of whatever troubles getaroom might cause me. Fortunately, I did not run into any troubles at all and had a wonderful stay at a luxurious hotel that is in a great location. I received all the service and privileges of a normal stay at the Swissotel. No complaints.
Beds super comfy; Felt like I was staying at a spa; Staff super friendly and helpful; beautiful view of the river and partial skyline; GPS kept wanting to take me to the closed parking garage underground; Had to ask other hotel valet down there how to get up top to my hotel (not hotel's fault). Valet expensive ($70), but guess it's the norm for Chicago.
The room was nice - great view. Chair could have used an ottoman but actually had good magazines to enjoy while relaxing in the room. Keurig coffee in room, which is always nice to have. Hotel was busy during our stay, but the room was quiet. The check in process was poorly organized and there were not enough people at the concierge desks to handle the number of guests. Overall I found the staff to be less than helpful and not particularly friendly. Our room wasn't ready until after 4 - and they were supposed to text or call when it was ready and they never did. We booked the hotel for a weekend get-away and not sure we'd go back.
Loved the location; we were able to walk everywhere and taxis were plenty if we needed them right outside hotel. very courteous staff and everything was impeccable. thanks!
It was in a pretty great location and all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were well kept and comfortable, though do need a bit of updating. We did not receive a very warm welcome upon driving up to the hotel. It took us a minute to find a valet and a bellhop.
The view from the room was very good The staff was excellent. The place had a very modern feel and look. The bed was very comfortable I would go back. The room did not have enough outlets. The room was small for the cost.
This hotel is exactly what you'd expect from a stay in Downtown Chicago. Imposing structure, bustling atmosphere, and lofty prices. The central location couldn't be beat and the view provides you a look at the city no matter which direction you face. Room was clean and modern. After some initial difficulties, a new room was provided and sorted out with a credit to be used with breakfast (delicious breakfast, but expect to be charged the Chicago price for it). The price for staying directly on the Magnificent Mile shouldn't be surprising. The lobby was constantly occupied and persistently loud, which also is indicative of a stay in Chicago. The initial room assignment seemed to belong to another individual as there appeared to be clothing in the closet and a suitcase laid out when the door upon a very brief inspection from the cracked door. After informing the front desk, a new room was quickly assigned...but only one of the two keys ended up working. After our final trip to the front desk, we were in better shape and the breakfast the next day was delicious. The room was by no means spacious, but exactly in what you'd expect from Chicago standards. Don't forget you'll be paying for parking, which is at least simplified by the ability to charge to your room.
The best part is that the Merriot is in the "heart of the city". Offsite parking.
Great location, great staff No fridge or microwave
Everything!!!! Cost of parking.
Location Old, small rooms, poor plumbing. It's an embarrassment for Marriot. Don't stay here
It is such a big hotel I found it chaotic especially with several different events going on. Crowds of people, lots of noise. Just too big a apace for me!
Location and decent sized, clean rooms. We booked day of stay and got a good rate. I would actually rate it a 3.5, but I didn't have that option. Extremely uncomfortable, stiff sheets.
Full size mattresses sold as queen size
I arrived 2am and there was no reservation and the company never told me there was a problem with my card. Spend until 4am getting another reservation for next day and then arrived and there was no reservation again. They ruined my entire business trip. had to spend half day looking for another hotel. The first night Marriott accommodated me in a room that was not what I expected. At least had a place to sleep. They were kind and very helpful, but the room I got was not what I expected. But It wasn't hotel's fault was getaroom.com fault.
Great newly updated rooms and incredible gym that puts many Health Clubs to shame. Room Svc leaves a bit to be desired but luckily they're located in great proximity to many great restaurants.
Please get Keurig coffee pots in each room
I have stayed in many upper end hotels in Chicago and this property has a great location, great staff, rooms are fabulous and an overall great stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again.
very clean no full length mirror in the room
The location was within walking distance to Everything. The hotel was very comfortable.
The accomodations were comfortable, the hotel beautiful, the location convenient, the staff extremely knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. Not really. A common suggestion that I have is in relation to the lights at the nightstand. Most places I've stayed, including this hotel, have both lights for double beds in between them. It would be better to have a light on the far side of the bed so the guest sleeping in the other bed is not disturbed by the late-night reader (me!).
I liked it all
The air conditioning. Our room was not ready at check-in. The bed skirt was torn and stained. The in-room movie played very poorly. The staff was unfriendly.
The people at Wyndham were so helpful making sure everything was perfect for us! No.
Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Courteous and friendly staff. Location is excellent for shopping. I definitely would return to stay again.
The staff was very helpful and freindly. The room was clean and very nice located near a lot of shopping. Our stay was very enjoyable and we will stay here again soon.
Close to shops at magnificent mile Pool was small and not kid friendly. A 16oz pop was $4 plus tax at hotel store
Service was amazing. Location was awesome!
Brenda served us for breakfast most days. She was a the best. Always attentive friendly. Took care of us well. Our last day we had a different waitress and our order wasn't right, we couldn't get her attention and had to get a manager in order to get our check. When you go for breakfast in the fabulous restaurant, ask for Brenda. Loved the green drink with Apple, spinach and ginger. It was really good.
Location was excellent. Rooms were modern and comfortable. Noise from the ambulances and construction. Crappy attitude from bar staff on balcony.
Location, location, location! A great hotel for a short break in Chicago -it's very close to Michigan Avenue (1 block) as well as restaurants, bars and nightlife. A really great all round hotel. I would definitely stay here again and would certainly recommend it! Nothing too bad. Just to be aware that it's under renovation, so the facade isn't as attractive as you would expect. But don't be put off, the rooms are beautiful and luxurious with all mod cons.
The staff was excellent and very helpful.
Close to great retail stores No dislikes
The room was clean and extremely comfortable with a modern decor that I like. The location is fantastic. None
The most thing I like here is the location, which is very convenience. Also, their front desk service is good~ I'm not satisfied with its room service, I ordered hot milk and they sent me the cold milk. Besides, the price of their room service is not worth from my view. So, just don't make room service, or you will be disappointed with its bad taste and unbelievable bill.
Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful clean rooms. A sense of safety and security.
I really enjoyed how close it was to everything. The employees were very helpful. I wish the price of the room included breakfast. There wasn't even complimentary coffee offered in the lobby. I had to pay $2.50. There was a coffee maker in the room but it just isn't the same. Get rid of the coffee makers and have pots of fresh coffee available in the lobby.
Location Loud, 1st night people shouting 2:30 am in the corridor, 2nd night wake up service in person knocking the doors, once no refill of coffee pads, never replacement of bottles in the bathroom (shampoo etc), before check out I wanted to get ready for my long trip back, but the room service had started cleaning and I found everything misplaced, the bathroom under water, cups on the carpet, no apoligies
The staff was terrific and our room, the only renovated one so far, was ideal. NA
Modern Style, a nice change from the standard hotel mini bar products are priced a bit high
I loved the modern rooms and cleanliness of he space. The hotel was convenient to work on Michigan Avenue. The lighting in the background needs to be upgraded as my co-worker and I who both stayed in different rooms had an issue with putting our makeup on in the morning. Additionally, no one at the front desk could help me with an iPhone 5 charger and gave me the excuse that they had all been lent out. Many of the guests were business men and women, so the hotel should always be prepared with that.
Great location and very upscale!!!!! Amazing rooms and quaint little bar in the lobby! Would love to come back in the summer and check out their roof top bar!!!!! We will comeback
Everything was great! The staff and the stay! By is officially the only hotel I will stay at when I visit Chicago! Everything
This hotel has an amazing location being just a couple of blocks away from Michigan Ave and being on the lake side near Navy Pier. Having a WholeFoods kitty corner to the hotel was quite handy. The hotel staff was incredibly nice and attentive. They do an excellent job of keeping the place clean. We had such a wonderful time that we decided to stay an extra night. Not having a mini fridge in the room was a little inconvenient.
Seems there were some residents on my floor - sounded like families that did not have a home. They were noisy, loud, baby crying and unattended, See above.
Parking is $55 per day
The wait time for an elevator was excessive at 9:30AM Sunday morning. I was on the 6th floor waiting to go down to the Lobby. 6 cars stopped, all full, over the span of 10 minutes. I finally got on a car that had an open spot, but was going up, and then rode it down - meanwhile the car stopped on 7 other floors. It seems to me a more "fair" algorithim could be employed to have an elevator car stop for someone on the 6th floor. If it weren't for the amount of luggage I had to carry, I would of course taken the stairs.
Clean, helpful staff, good location and overall value. I wouldn't say it's old, but some of the decor and appointments are outdated.
Went up to Chicago to catch a craft beer festival. The hotel was very accommodating, helping us take our many, many, manyou cases of beer and two tiny bags of luggage to our room. With the convenience of in and out parking and even providing plates when our pizza was delivered made our short stay amazing. Would definitely stay here again City garage parking is sooooooooo expensive!
location, price are great room was very comfortable, but not as clean as we would expect, in fact cleanliness was our only "ding".
We couldn't get HHonors points at all because we booked through Kayak.
Very convenient location, walking distance from the Magnificient Mile, the Wrigley Building, and Millenium Park. Many restaurants nearby, and bagel/coffee shop near the hotel lobby. Nice outdoor pool. No free internet in the room. Noise from repairs (drilling) in neighboring room(s) every morning (weekdays).
The pool Big yellow stain on carpet Bathroom light wouldn't stay on and flickered the whole time Wasn't able to get ready in bathroom and made showering very interesting to say the least We would have changed rooms but we were running late to my birthday plans Complained in the am and they said they could do nothing bc I didn't book they them directly. I was very upset how the manager handled the situation We spent $240 on a one night stay for my birthday and cookies were offered but with attitude
We loved our stay at the doubletree, complimentary cookies and the front desk, the bed was lovely and the location is great, only few blocks from the magnificent mile. My husband woke up at night due to the outside street noise (cars&sirens) I personally did not hear it. I guess it depends how light of a sleeper someone is.
Stayed one night and paid $76.00 dollars to park
Great location and comfortable rooms; breakfast was an awesome surprise in variety and quality Room service was slow, rooms not super clean and could definitely do without the lobby dance music during the day when kids were napping
Friendly staff and clean facility No complaints
Nice hotel, casual and comfortable. Great breakfast. Very convenient to Navy Pier. Would definitely reccomend to friends and would stay here again.
Located close to shopping and conference centers Amenities are average
Staff was very helpful and we were able to get a later checkout upon our departure, which was nice and allowed to kids to swim for a bit before we left. Check in and out was easy, and parking was easily accessible. The price on the all inclusive Disney kids on Demand TV package I order did not reflect what was charged to my bill. It was only a difference of $2.99 and ultimately not a big deal, but still, I feel as though you should be paying what you are quoted. Also, being that it was a holiday weekend, it would have been nice if breakfast was open until 10 as it is on the weekends, but I get the weekend vs. weekend schedule. The lines were a bit long by the end of breakfast and early breakfast is always hard to do with my kids. But again, not a huge deal in the whole scheme of things. We will definitely be back.
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Enjoyed happy hour each night.
Very good location Hotel wasn't nearly as nice as other embassy suites I have stayed at.
Stayed here Dec 12-14, 2014, this was our 2nd time staying here due to close proximity to Navy Pier's Winter Wonderland. Last year the Manager's reception offered better appetizers, seemed to be a bit cheaper this year. Staff is wonderful and room was really clean. We had an issue with the thermostat, it was almost 80 degrees the whole stay. The kids love it here, it's really family oriented. They seemed to like swimming in the pool better than Winter Wonderland, they made several little friends during our short stay. Will probably be back next year, we love it here.
Not convient. Poor service
Staff was great as was the location. The bed could have been more comfortable bit otherwise was very comfortable.
Location. The bed was comfy!! The view of a rubble pile from torn down building
The location was perfect, right in the heart of the magnificent mile. Perfect for those who want to walk and not worry about ground transportation. Having a pool was a must for our family, so we enjoyed having the pool after a long day of sight-seeing and shopping. The team was helpful when we had needs and overall it was an excellent experience. Price of parking in the area is absurd, but that has nothing to do with these guys!
Location was awesome. Close to everything at a reasonable price. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Indoor pool.
Lovely LARGE room, great view and location, nice area in which to eat breakfast - modern and comfortable with plenty of seating. Full size hairdryer is especially appreciated along with ample clean towels. Some elevator or machinery noise - did not bother me, almost like "white noise," but light sleepers might object.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Room was very nice and location was fantastic! No Pepsi products
We arrived really early and the staff was very accommodating. Our rooms weren't ready but they happily stored our luggage while we went to lunch.
The location is great for visitors interested in shopping and dining the magnificient mile. Staff entered our room while we were there either without knocking or knocking as they already entered. When we got there the room was not ready. Instead of checking us in and telling us the room would be ready at three, they took our luggage and said come back at three. When we got back, there wa a line around the corner and we waited for almost an hour to get checked in to a room that was prepaid. Then the bellman who was absolutely frazzled could not find our luggage with the ticket number. When we got to the room there were no pillow cases on the pillows but a stack of them on the desk. I finished the linen myself. An hour later an attendant walked in without knocking saying she was here to get the pillowcases on. Then twenty minutes later a man with a clipboard apparently checking to see if rooms were ready entered our room and knocked after opening the door and coming in. The next morning my daughter and I were out and a man pounded on the door. My husband, just out of the shower, was greeted by a man that insisted he be let in to change out a TV to a larger size. A whopping 2 inches bigger by the way. After ten minutes of arguing the man went away. We were a half hour from leaving, did not go to Chicago to watch TV in the hotel room and my husband was dripping wet in a towel! We finally were leaving this comedy sketch just to find out that the valet ticket we paid for at registration was not validated and got to stand in line again to get it stamped. Then after standing and waiting for the car for fifteen minutes, it turns out that the valet had already brought it down and parked it in the middle of the sidewalk unlocked. I would not return here another night if it was on the house and they paid me.
In the heart of magnificent mile! Clean room, friendly staff, big room with great view
The internal noise of the hotel made it virtually impossible to sleep past 7 am in the morning. The noise could be heard through out the floor, possibly a plumbing issue or the echoing of the elevators...we made it work, but not an ideal situation for vacationing.
Everyone went over and above to make sure our family members were taken care We have family staying with you to be close to Hospital friendly staff Clean environment
Great location, nice view When the air conditioning was running we froze. When it stopped we were burning up!
Super clean room and very nice breakfast selection One of the three elevators was down and the wait for an elevator in the mornings was unbelievable. I waited for 15 min to get onto one that had room for even 1 person.
We stayed on the 23rd floor, and we were there for 2 nights. Unfortunately, the elevators were SUPER slow. We waited for over 15 minutes both mornings before deciding to take the stairs. We heard others talking about it at breakfast too. Middle of the day, it wasn't as bad. My legs still hurt from doing so many stairs this weekend. Otherwise, the location to Michigan Avenue was GREAT. Close to our favorite restaurant, Grand Lux.
It was right in the middle of downtown. The first room they gave us had used sheets with lipstick stains on them, and the room had a odor to it, after a little bit of complaining they moved us to another room. The Bathroom in the 2nd room smelled of urine, there was a hole in the lamp shade, the vent for the air conditioner had a very loud raddle to it and there was wall paper pealing off the wall. There was 3 elevators for 40 floors, so it was about a 10 minute wait to exit your floor. I paid 300 dollars for one night, I expected better.
Hotel location, overall room comfort and view, staff attentiveness, value and breakfast Room location(we are HHonor Members and were put in room on elevator wall), bathroom needs work.Cost of parking.
location was great Starbucks was close poor breakfast, little to choose from. Suite was small and sleeping area not separated from seating area very well. Coffee supplied in the room was bad.
The people who worked there were so nice! They did everything to make us feel comfortable and at home. I didn't like the construction noise but the staff was very nice and accommodating about it and I'm sure it will be over soon!
Hotel presented very clean, nicely updated, nice bathrooms, showers have good pressure. Room also had nicely updated thermostat on wall for personal adjustments. Great location, within walking distance for all needs. Rooms are small
The staff was truly friendly and helpful! It was a great location as well. Fluffier towels would be a plus.
Quiet Bed& pillows were nice View was terrible Vanity was small
Clean, updated rooms for a great price. Lots of places close to eat with our family of 5. Free trolley ride one block away to Navy Pier but in walking distance without young kids. Not a lot of rooms on each floor that made it a quiet stay. Had a twin size comfortable air mattress for an extra bed also. Wish it had a pool but knew it didn't prior to booking. Slow wifi.
Great front desk staff, rooms were clean and modern, although the bathroom a bit small. Very comfortable for a one-night stay. Breakfast with lots of options. Currently under construction means no real lobby, but they are very accommodating. Heater maybe not the most efficient but kept room warm enough.
The room was very clean . Bed comfortable . Breakfast very good but could you gave China plates not styrofoam very tacky. Good location The pergo floors in the room . Very cold and decor very modern. Lobby lacking character. Very black and grey. No class.
The prices weren't good and the staff were rude.
I loved the rooms decor and finishes. Everyone was very nice and personable. So close to Michigan Ave. Nothing that can be fixed but I wish it was a taller building with better view.
The location is perfect. Near all the tourist attractions. It doesn't have breakfast.
Location, Location Location and the price was better then other hotels in the area. Room was outdated, bathroom was smaller than an airplane restroom.
The bed was very old and not comfortable, not hotel standard my own bed at home much better. The rooms need to be remodeled. Matres
It was a fantastic hotel! While the room wasn't large, it was up to date and clean. Services were fantastic and the staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will absolutely stay here again.
The location was great, comfortable. Not a lot of facilities but in city and I didn't need them. Great value. Comfortable bed. Carpet completely worn in hallway. Paint peeling in bathroom. Bath floor a little sticky.
hotel should provide breakfast.
Pleasant staff. Great location. Stained and fraying carpet in hallways. Tiny bathrooms. No amenities such as in room fridge or continental breakfast. Loud air conditioner unit.
decent room power outlet in bedside light (super!) Nice cleaning staff Easy access to downtown Super expensive internet Room is sort of depressing in design, decor. Somewhere someone would meet a dark fate in a Twilight zone episode.
Great location! Lobby looked cute but once you stepped onto the other floors it was below average (dirty carpets, mediocre rooms, small bathrooms). Not what was expected from view on website, lobby, and location.
Beds were comfortable Staff prompt and friendly It was dirty---floors dirty, wrappers on the floor, cereal on the floor, carpet torn in areas, pack n play had crusted food on it.
Location The hallways had hole in walls, tears and tons of stains in carpeting. Needs major upkeep. Only thing good is the location. Paid 15$ for fasted speed internet which was supposed to be 8mbps it closed in less Then 3mbps
The location is the one you want. It's close to whatever you wanna visit at Chicago. Staff is really courteous, the room size is OK, the roof terrace is really nice. Again, this is mostly about the location which is the best in town. Nothing I actually disliked, but the hotel is in serious need of money to go through a much needed renovation. Once they do this, the price won't be the same tho.
