I was very satisfied, was even able to check in hours ahead of schedule and was upgraded to a better room. The location is fantastic as well as the view, staff was attentive and courteous, definitely recommend this place.
The amazing view, the helpful and friendly staff, and the amazing deal!
The room was very comfortable and had a nice layout.
Not all staff was friendly, room wasn't thoroughly cleaned one day and Cafe and restaurants only open till 1pm. Also some staff gave poor directions as to how to get to places.
Clean friendly $44 parking cost and one way streets with only two valets
the bed was very comfortable. The restaurants and lounge were enjoyable.
Good value for you money. Very clean. Good facilities. Bed too soft, it is like it is just made entirely of pillow. I had some maintenance issues in my room, which they fixed, but they wanted me to move instead.
Rooms were good size with a nice view. Big screen TV. Downtown location near to attractions. Didn't sleep well because the mattress was a bit lumpy. Gave me a backache. The breakfast menu is pricey. $44/day for parking. Hotel like Westin should have free parking available for guests.
this Hotel is on nice area, walk distance to Midway museum & seaport Village, very convenience & we will definitely come back again for vacation!
Great location, clean hotel, GREAT bed. Best sleep I've had in a while. Bathroom was nothing to write home about and parking is a bit expensive
Loved the staff. The woman at the front desk was super friendly and nice and her alone would make me want to come back and enjoy the Westin again!
3 blocks from coaster, very comfortable, free shuttle to the airport, beds are fantastic They nickel and dime you for in-room wifi (seriously?)
View. Room size. Location. When I woke up in the AM i noticed my iPhone was covered in dust. I then noticed the desk with my black laptop, across from the air conditioning vent was also covered in dust particles. This is a big deal for me because I have a dust mite allergy, but still have never seen this level of dust collect just overnight. I think the air filter vents in these rooms are very very dirty and just blow dust all night as Long as the AC is running. I was extremely congested all day due to my allergy and had a hard day networking at my convention. Also, the TV service this day and age is sub-poor. No guide and some of the channels didn't work "no signal".
Great service and friendly staff. Room was clean and updated (with an incredible view). Also a great location for hitting the downtown SD spots. Only downside (very minor) is the breakfast in the hotel restaurant is buffet only. Would've liked an option to just get some eggs and a juice without paying $40 for all-you-can-eat. But there are plenty of other places to eat, so no worries. I'd definitely stay there again.
Unlimited Access To EVERYTHING FUN Leaving
Beautiful views of the marina, which is right out the back door. Great view of Coronado from the pool/jacuzzi deck. Nice ocean breeze. Proximity to Gaslamp Quarter is just a walk away, or a short cab ride. Staff is friendly and on top of cleanliness and service for guest needs. Pretty much top notch all around. Parking in the structure was difficult. More compact parking spots than regular size it seemed, which inevitably means trucks and oversized vehicles are going to park there anyway, so they do. Also, when we pulled up to valet, they said it was full, however, there were plenty of valet spots open in the parking structure. Maybe it was because we were in a Kia Sorento rather than a BMW X5. Also, once you do get parked, there is ONE elevator, or ONE set of stairs to get up and down to and from your car, which is very inconvenient. Once inside the hotel and settled though, aside from over priced food and drinks, it's a great luxurious family hotel. You get what you pay for. If It Were TOO easy, EVERYONE AND Their Mother Would Stay there. Overall: Parking=Booooooooooo! Staff, service and rooms=Yaaaayyyyy!
The view They changed $47 for parking
The room was beautiful and clean! The facilities were amazing and the gym was phenomenal. So much is available at this hotel. It's truly "grand".
Facilities Location & price.
Great location, we had a beautiful view of the water and of the pool area. The pool was very nice as were the hot tubs. The room was very clean and spacious and the staff was very polite. And I did not have to wait long for an elevator. The only issue we had was that our parking pass was note coded so we were unable to exit the garage. The staff quickly corrected it thouh.
Our checkin was quick and we love the location. I expected room to be a little cleaner for what we paid...
Everything! Service and location was best Dusty room
- Great location - Great drinking & dining options - Great interior design and decor - Clean - Loud guests after 10pm - A little on the expensive side - Add-on expenses (parking, water, etc)
We always enjoy staying at the US Grant. The staff is friendly the restaurant and bar are wonderful the location is perfect. The rooms are nice the beds are comfortable. The pillows and I would ask not to stay facing fourth Street again.
Location Beds were terrible and room was small
Cool vibe. Great room and decor. Easy check in.
It was a wonderful expeeience from the moment we walk in to the time we left. It's a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff. The Spa Suite was a little plain in appearance for a luxury hotel but the therapist was excellent.
The rooms were big and the decor was very nice. The staff were great and the location was perfect for visiting San Diego. The charge for parking is too high. We parked on nearby streets for a tenth of the cost.
Elegant and plush surroundings, very comfortable bed, room was lovely with great amenities even though I had a single room. Great power breakfast meal!
The staff was friendly and courteous. The entire stay was pleasant and we were well taken care of as guests.
The hotel is a historic landmark located near the Gaslamp district in downtown San Diego. The location is great for shopping, site seeing, and night life. The staff of the hotel was superb! A fantastic back drop for a romantic getaway.
The room was great and service was excellent. Very noisy on the 4th floor exterior room all night long on a weekend.. I requested a room with a view and got a view of the rundown buildingf to peo next to us and listene.
Great bed Could hear doors closing and thin walla
The personel was not that efficient, but definetely friendly
Location, size of the room, staff No smoking rooms and we got stuck in the lift which was terrifying!!
Friendly, good price. Noisy, sketchy area, long walk from 5th ave bars, outdated.
Location was excellent.
room very comfotable.excellent location.Contrary to your information, there is a restaurant in the hotel.
Close to venue, great people in all areas of the hotel. Loved the bath soap.
Great, Great, Great. The Bristol was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in US
My girlfriend and I enjoyed this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodated our stay. The valet personnel was also great. Definitely recommend staying here. There really isn't much to complain about for this hotel. The only thing was that the hallway smelled like residual cigarette smoke, but the rooms themselves did not smell like smoke, which was great.
Perfect location, walking distance to gas lamp district and mall across the street. Quiet and comfortable. Good price. Free wifi. No fridge. Expensive valet. No breakfast.
-price was good , location , LCD Tv ,all the staff were friendly , clean room there is no ice machine in my room level
Close location to the shopping center, restaurants and convention center.
It was centrally located The room was old, smelled weird, horrible wi-fi that kept kicking us off, mini fridge upon request?! Overall felt the price did not match the quality of room we received. Would NEVER stay here again or recommend to anyone!
Friendly staff, good location, etc. Balcony is not too big. Take one step out and that's all you got....other than that, cool hotel to stay. Not hip, but cool.
Check-in was efficient & friendly. Great wifi. Excellent pool. This time our room faced C Street - very noisy. Previous stay we faced 3rd Street - much quieter.
The hotel is beautiful! The staff was helpful and prompt. There was someone there right away to take our luggage to our room, and our room was ready upon an early arrival. I'd stay there again! After checking out, the valet didn't help us get our luggage in our vehicle. $30.00 a night I felt it should have been better service.
Very classy, beautifully appointed hotel. Staff helpful, polite and wanted our stay to be as comfortable as possible. Our room was lovely and the turn down service was appreciated - especially the music playing and the low lighting when we returned in the evening. I agree the C street side of building a bit noisy, but would not deter me from staying there again when we are in San Diego. The valet was very prompt to deliver our car and 2 young men helped us with our luggage. We had room service breakfast.. Very, very good...Thank you for a lovely stay...
comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Kind and friendly staff, prompt response with broken thermostat. Kind and courteous repair workers. There was a few (2) pieces of trash on my bed when I got there (a piece of tissue and a cap to a water bottle). The thermostat dial was broken and I immediately had to call for a repair. My room was directly over train tracks that ran ALL NIGHT LONG!
The staff was very friendly and helpful since we didn't know our way around San Diego. The room was very comfortable and beautiful. We would stay there again. There were add on charges.
Location was perfect, service was exceptional. David, who was on the front desk when we arrived, was outstanding. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and other activities in the hotel and the surrounding area. Housekeeping was outstanding, with turndown, chocolates, And room set up with lighting and mood music upon return at the end of our days out. Concierge was very helpful with information and ticketing for tours. Great pool area on third story patio deck. One of the best hotel experiences we have had! We recommend it highly. Street Car noise on the side of the building where our room was located.
I really liked coming back to the room st night and finding the lights dimmed, the bed turned down and nice relaxing misic playing. This was a very nice touch The hotel had a musty smell that was unappealing. The concierge and some of the people at the front desk were not very friendly/helpful when I asked about place to get a good fish taco and hoe to get to old down. Made me feel like I was shaking silly questions and bother.
The customer services was great. The hotel was beautiful and well maintained. My room was a little be dusty, which affected my allergies. However, the dust was manageable.
As mentioned, the location is excellent for walking around Little Italy and the Gaslamp district. The staff are friendly and helpful. I like the showers as they are quite spacious and can function as a mini-tub. Overall it was a clean and comfortable environment. The room was aligned with the light rail. Every time a train left the adjacent station, the conductor tested the horn. It was too much noise for the hotel not to give us a heads up. Two stars for this "oversight".
The decor was a little dates but very opulent...really beautiful chandeliers in the lobby accented with elaborate holdings! Our room was not well cleaned from previous stays. We encountered the following: 1. Old pack of cigarettes in the closet 2. Large stain on one of the robes 3. Opened and half consumed water in the mini fridge (as a part of the $15 resort fee you receive 4 free water bottles in the mini fridge) 4. Dirty ice bucket containing a good amount of water/alcohol remains 5. Stepped on a very sharp furniture tack that must have come loose and was on the floor by my bed
The room was clean and very comfortable Sirens!
The hotel is located in the Gas lamp area, it is well serviced by public transport. It is located in walking distance to the USS Midway and local attractions. The hotel does not have a restaurant, you can obtain a discount from an affiliated restaurant. Room was small.
Ladies at front desk were great. Easy and convenient
The hotel is centrally located. They also have free bike loans!
Staff was phenomenal No room service
The location was very good and it was very quiet inside the room. The connecting door to the bathroom needed to be altered as the handle slid past the door opening and I caught my thumb in the handle and it was bruised.
Nothing was to much to ask. Brian on front desk fantastic Nothing
The location was great. Loved the decor in lobby as well as the room. 30.00 parking
very clean and nice needs wireless internet in every room
Central position. No complementary WiFi in the rooms.
Closeness in proximity to things in the city and the room was very quiet. Nothing
Helpful staff, good location
Nothing 1. 45.00 parking fee 2. Pool and spa broken 3. Room service horrible 4. It's under construction very loud and smells like paint 5. Walkways are taped off 6.complimentary breakfast horrible
The staff is very friendly. The hotel is very clean. The free hot breakfast was good. The location is is great.
I was told there was Self-Park or Valet, upon arrival I was informed there is ONLY valet and it was $42.00.
Nothing went right and it continued even after we left the hotel
The rooms are big, and the hotel close to a beautiful beach. The is a nice center of restaurants near the hotel The Peking in the hotel too expensive
The breakfast. Didn't like the $40 night parking fee and I thought the customer service at the front desk was terrible.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and large. The hotel location was ideal due to its proximity to different eateries and shops. I wish I had the time to enjoy a run near the waterfront which looked lovely. It was a little pricey at over $300/night, but then again it was Memorial Day weekend.
Location, room separate from living area a huge plus. I booked over the phone directly with the hotel, what I was quoted over the phone was $100 more than what was emailed to me in my confirmation. I had to cancel, and was transferred to 3 people before I was allowed to do so. I was told there was Self-Park or Valet, upon arrival I was informed there is ONLY valet and it was $42.00. I was not informed that the hotel was under major renovations when speaking to the hotel on the phone either. "heated pool" was barely warmed up, more cold than anything. The parking felt like the biggest disappointment, especially being lied to over the phone.
Breakfast was good. Afternoon cocktails and snacks were a nice touch. Big, comfortable room. No drinking glasses in room. They charge for Wifi.
almost everything worked out just fine for us.. long line for happy hour.
Choices to be green. Close to the convention center. Hours for the recreation area were limited.
Location After realizing I left a jacket in the closet, I immediately contacted the hotel to retrieve it. Two messages were left on housekeeping voice mail. Twice I spoke to front desk and was prommised missed a call back which never came. No manager was available at any time. After a day and a half I recieved a message from housekeeping that they didn't find it. The outcome would have been different had the front desk or management given quality customer service. I am a Hilton Honors member and frequent guest.
There is a free shuttle to/from the airport. Each room contains a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, safe, hair dryer, and iron. I was given a voucher for free breakfast buffet in the attached restaurant and the staff kept it well-stocked, even when it was nearly time to end the buffet. I flew in early and the hotel let me check in early without charging an extra fee. There were several issues with the condition of the room. The refrigerator, TV, microwave, and lamp were all broken. I attempted to restart the fridge and the TV by unplugging from surge protector and plugging directly into socket, trying different sockets, etc. but was unable to get them going again. A very nice maintenance man did some trouble-shooting and was able to get them working with a bit of effort. The switch on the lamp was bent, loose, and shorted out. Cleanliness was also a problem, maybe because of my early check-in. A used towel was stuffed under the safe in the closet. One bar of soap in the bathroom had gotten wet and was unusable. There was a curly hair on the bathroom counter. There was no lotion. Overall, the experience was NOT what I expected from a $200 per night hotel and I do not recommend it.
Localization is good. It is a good relatioon cost/benefits.The room is nice. Lobby could be pretier!
The staff was very professional and friendly The amtrak train was quite annoying blasting its horn all night
Even though the hotel was unconstruction, it had great service. Good room for a good price. We only stayed for one night and everything was great. No complains about anything. Highly recommended this hotel its rest the pier and has good restaurants near as well.
enjoyed the breakfast and the comfort of the room. Very clean and the maid service was excellent everything was fine
Great location, very clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.
The included breakfast as well as the shuttle to and from the airport
location , friendly construction, unable to find my reservation for quite sometime. not in the system and had to go to main office to get it cleared up
It was close to the water. Very comfortable. Remodeling so it will even be better when that is completed.
The price is reasonable and the location is excellent. The rooms are spacious. However, the soundproofing of the walls is suboptimal. I found the restaurant and the breakfast menu mediocre.
Excellent location, airport shuttle, close to public transportation, breakfast included Parking fee
The view from the balcony was a direct line to the waterfront and the Star of India. The room was very clean. Breakfast is provided at the attached restaurant which is a nice facility. Transportation is provided to and from the airport and to the cruise ship terminal. The location is convenient to walk to Seaport Village, Little Italy, local bus line, the zoo, Gaslamp district, multiple other restaurants, as well as pharmacies and shopping. There is no need for a car. The lobby area is being remodeled and I knew that when I booked. It was a little dusty, but not inconvenient in any way. However, although the rooms are very clean, the furniture, wall coverings, and carpet are looking a little tired and worn out and in my opinion, these are the areas which should be updated.
The location is AMAZING, I highly recommend it. When we first arrived I was disappointed by the outside of the building (it looks very dated) but the interior was GREAT and the room was extremely comfortable. One of the best beds I have slept in at a hotel!
The location is really awesome Room's air conditioner didn't work. Called the front desk who said they'd send someone up. After 20 mins in a room that hit 90, even on a cool evening, I went to the lobby where the reception desk informed me that maintenance had already gone home for the evening. They provided me with a new room without issue. Packing and having to move rooms at 11 pm after spending an entire day at a music fest wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but I do thank reception for taking care of me without incident.
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The location was great; right on the waterfront which was close to some great sites and also walking distance from gas lamp and other cool places. Some parts of the hotel seemed dated or in need of repair, like the elevator. Internet was a little sketchy in the room from time to time and I had to call for support.
Clean room and sheets. No restaurant on site.
The water view was just amazing. Airport is a little too close
Do not stay here. The hotel was below average for the price, the hotel staff were not helpful and uninformed. Worst of all was this sign noticed while checking out: WARNING: This building contains chemicals, known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. They were not helpful and I cannot remove the exposure I experienced. Do not stay here. The hotel was below average for the price, the hotel staff were not helpful and uninformed. The hotel is well situated overlooking the bay. Be sure to get a bay view room. Otherwise you could stay at any non-view hotel for less. The surprise $24.00 'self-parking' charge per day. The $3.00 for Lobby Coffee. plus tip of course.
Right on the waterfront. Was able to be on the side facing the water. Room had been remodeled. In the process of remodeling. Parking was extra and not guaranteed. bathroom door had no lock
I loved the location since it was near to the Train station, waterfront and little Italy. I liked that the maintenance fixed our sink within an hour when it would not drain. The maid did a great job of cleaning. One staff member was rude when informing us that we could no longer buy any breakfast items. I wish there was an affordable restaurant in the hotel and that it offered free breakfast. The sink would not drain, so maybe updating maintenance more often would be good. Training the front desk staff on being more informative to guests about facilities and information on the hotel upon check-in is needed very much.
The hotel had an excellent location right along the bay. It was close to many attractions and restaurants. There was nothing wrong with this hotel, it was just very average. I would say it met expectations, but did not exceed. Rooms were a decent size, beds were comfortable. We could have benefited from a room with a better view; we couldn't enjoy our balcony because we were right above the air conditioning unit which was very loud.
The location was perfect, plus they had a shuttle That would take you to the zoo, Horton plaza and seaport village. The air conditioner wouldn't go below 70 and parking was a bit crazy. You get charged an additional $26 a day to park in the parking structure.
the hotel is only minutes front eh airport. it is right along the waterfront, which is beautiful. The city views are also delightful. Very close to the train which provides easy transport to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. Close to many attractions. Convient to all the city opportunities. It worked out great for my baseball stay. Helpful concierge. Close to restaurants. I would stay there again. Wish it had free parking. Closet in bathroom not my first choice. Bouncers at a private party not very friendly.
Location, free gym, lent me a fridge, staff very polite Only thr use of frosted glass in room looked dirty
Very convenient hotel with easy access to all family attractions. Nice staff and clean surroundings.
located very central, bars and restaurants in walking distance, shopping mall close by. Very nice and big room during our stay a conference was going on and you we were woken up at 6 o'clock every day by the noises through the air-con-shafts and thin walls
it was very central. had a quiet room. hot tub & pool were great very business orientated - seminars & conferences
Excellent bedding and service Hotel did not have our reservation that we made online. Toilet was not clean when we checked into our room, had not been flushed or cleaned.
ı lıke to shopping and restaurants. ıt looks lıke empty and cold it is not like the westin st. fr. san f.
Proximity to shops and restaurants The floor we stayed on smelt terribly of cigarette smoke and we had to complain before it was addressed. Also, our room key had to be reset 5 times in 3 days and I didn't even carry my phone with me so not sure what the reason was. Was a minor inconvenience, but other than that, was a comfortable stay.
Walking distance to the mall. Modern. Fourth floor room facing the circle was noisy.
Shop & sightsee
Location was excellent for the centre of San Diego and convinient for the shopping area.
The price ($99 / night) for the location and the dimension of the room (very usefull with a baby). The hotel and the rooms are old: used furniture, heater not working, stains on the floor, TV remote not working... I guess they will increase their rates once renovated
Great service at the front desk. Hotel was very clean.
I liked the fact that anywhere we went was walking distance.
location noise of the highway, we ask for another room but we had to choose between a bedroom over the highway or a very stinky smoke bedroom
If anything location The room was a sham! The "two story" suite is just two rooms on top of each other with a super steep, small spiral staircase up and down. The "jet tub" was a regular size tub with two small jets that hardly worked. The curtains where torn and stapled together! Definitely not the Hilton quality I'm use to.
The room was neat and clean. The furniture arrangement was well organized and convenient. The bedding was very inviting and reminded me of a spa. The elevators were not well updated. I did not like the access to the main lobby or the rooms from the elevators. As I read in a couple of reviews, the plumbing was noisy and the walls were thin, but these were not enough to distract me from staying again.
It was a great price for the location, near Little Italy and just a mile walk to Gaslamp. The room was clean and well done. It was easy to find the hotel and to park. The area around it isn't too bad, there weren't a lot of homeless people hanging out outside the hotel. The pool is smaller than I expected. The plumbing in the bathrooms is noisy, when someone in another room flushes a toilet it caused our toilet to make noises.
I was confused by the website and selected a prepaid rate. As soon as confirmation emailed arrived and I realized my mistake, I called on the phone to change the reservation to a refundable rate. Even though it was only ten minutes after the reservation for a stay a couple of months in the future, they said it was impossible. They kept reading me the rules about what nonrefundable means! Hilton said it was the hotel policy and they could not do anything about it. After my stay, the hotel's director of operations wrote to say that it was Hilton policy and the hotel could not do anything.
Cookies / staff was friendly
We needed to switch hotel rooms and they were very accommodating. Didn't seem too apathetic about it though. Thus the friendly service was a bit lacking. Everything was close for walking which made it really nice. Seemed a bit pricy for being a bit off the beaten path though. It was a good stay all in all. The staff could have been more friendly. Just didn't get a great vibe from most of them. Also the need to switch rooms was the plumbing.... It made sounds all evening. Gurgling bath and the toilet would run all day and night.
Excellent hotel in a good location near the gaslamp quater
Location, comfortable, enough room, easy check in and out. Fighting people next door.
Location is perfect
Great location, friendly staff and nice breakfast. I specifically picked this hotel because it was the best deal and had an airport shuttle. I was bummed when my flight arrived at 1030pm to find out the shuttle stops at 10pm. It would have been nice to know that beforehand.
The location was perfect for gas lamp district and petco park, just a quick trolley ride away. Walking distance to the trolley and to little Italy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfy and had an enjoyable trip. The beds were too soft for my liking. My fiancé prefers cool showers and the water only came out warm/hot.
Visibility is very limited in both directions when exiting the parking garage. Pedestrians can't see cars approaching the exit and vice versa. I almost collided with a group of pedestrians. Maybe some signs or flashing lights to alert drivers and pedestrians? You just can't see oncoming traffic on the highway without almost putting your bumper at the edge of the street.
The train was not even a problem!! Nothing!
Positives are the location, location, location & accessibility to Gaslamp district. Staff was courteous (enough). Breakfast was decent. 10 years ago, the Hampton was worthy of being in the Hilton family. The staff person didn't bother to tell me about the amenities or location of anything, but noted that he did that for another customer. My smoke free room reeked of smoke and the only thing they had available (they said) was the handicapped access room on the 2nd floor. The elevators are stuff and hot. Parking is cramped and nightly fee is a tad high. I needed to iron my clothes for a party and the iron was broken. When I returned the iron, the staff person was snippy and acted like I was incoveniencing her. I did not feel I was demanding and was very polite. another cust. complained that the AC was not adequate.
The location was great. But that's about it. Shower head broken! Tile cracked and falling apart. And most of all the bed was uncomfortable. The main reason why we love to stay at the hamptons is because we love the beds! Unfortunalty this was not the case.
It was clean ,quiet and located in just an ideal location for a great walking vacation. nothing.
comfortable bed included breakfast with some healthy options wifi worked well airport shuttle, but does not pick up after 10 pm thin walls, can hear conversation through them my room was over the dumpsters (5 am trash collection) greeted one morning by a cockroach crawling out of the shower drain
Staff Paying for parking
close to down town, and in middle of little italy need be more basic facilities like laundry
The access to kids park across the street is perfect. from there is a quick walk to the Midway carrier ship. Access to the green line metro train is very convenient to take you back and forth to the gaslamp district. I would stay there again. Staff is friendly. Keep in mind they do not work for the Beverly Hills Hilton so don't expect much. parking is tight. Don't expect to find a spot after 11pm. Take the metro train if possible and leave your car at the hotel. The rooms are a little small and are limited with power outlets. There is enough to do with in a 3 mile radius that you shouldn't be in your room anyways.
The Inn is conveniently located just off the I-5, close to downtown (2.0 miles to Gaslamp) and is a few minutes walk from the Harbour Waterfront Boulevard. There was ample parking, the room and restroom were clean and comfortable and the staff were courteous and friendly. All in all, great for a short weekend holiday in SD, which is a wonderfuly city. Though there were enough plug-points to go around, there could be a couple more.
Everything was awesome . Pete was great with us . I will defitinally return (:
Location was ideal and it was cheaper than the surrounding hotels. The room was clean and had everything you need. Not fancy, but was just what I was looking for.
Price was good for location. Hotel seemed musty and also had issues with bugs. Did not feel comfortable so we left one night earlier than scheduled to check out. Would not recommend to anyone.
It's a basic hotel with moderate accommodations. The stuff was nice. The location is great. Jack-in-the Box is right next to it to grab a simple breakfast.
It was close to downtown San Diego and conventions. Also close to gaslight with numerous restaurants.
The location is great. San Diego is super relaxed, if you compare it to the traffic in LA or SF. So if you just stay over night in this hotel, it is perfect.
the vicinity to the convention center very noisy from trains, every thing was very old - towels;, bathroom, no closet. in your site it was told that the place was renovat!?
The stuffs were very kind and gentle. The location was near railways and airport, which made noisy situation.
The hotel (or actually, motel) is located next to the railway, which caused a lot of noise. In addition, the airport is very near, which causes additional noise if a plane lands and uses the trust-reversers to brake. The furniture in the rooms is old and damaged. The breakfast is very plain, with only a choice of waffles and cereals. I was planning to stay for 7 nights, but the price/quality ratio was very bad. I left after 1 night, and had to pay a 2-night fine for leaving earlier. This motel is for sure not the best deal in San Diego.
Well decorated. Good furniture and fixtures. Cool design Pricey for what it is
Charming hotel in the heart of Little Italy. Location is perfect for those wanting to explore the city and be close to Gaslamp. The staff was nice and the hotel had a lot of charm. Really clean as well! Would definitely stay again (but maybe would request a room with double beds just to give us a little extra space...) Rooms are really small. Parking wasn't available our first night which I wasn't expecting. Once we did get a spot in the lot, all the spaces were really tight/hard to park in.
Location was nice and room, somwhat small as reviews said, wasn't a problem at all actually. Comfort was better than expected. Elevator is slow. Noise from the train was really annoying, especially when your room is on one side of the hotel. They need investing on better isolating windows about that. Wifi never actually worked in the room (4th floor) and I needed to go on the business room, cafe or to pick up a free guest wifi from another building to have the internet. It's so easy and cheap to have a good internet that it's really a drawback nowadays to not have a stable connection.
The hotel was in an excellent location, near Little Italy, with great restaurants and pubs nearby. The room was small, very European like, but very clean and recently updated. The Saturday farmers market, right out in front was also a fun plus.
The location was great! Everything in Little Italy was walkable. Wanna go further? The trolley transit system was about two blocks away. Also, they have an underground garage structure available at $20 per night. The garage was fully protected so there's no worry about your vehicle. My 8 month old son decided to poop in our bed around midnight while I was trying to change his diaper (dark lighting and half asleep). We stripped the sheets off, and then found out that the hotel didn't have any spare bedsheets because laundry didn't come back from the cleaner until Tuesday... It was Monday night. So, don't change diapers in the bed at midnight...?
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoy the morning coffee and pastry. Lovely modern rooms. It was nice to have parking at the hotel but it was fairly expensive. The gym was also nice to have but very small no more than three people could use it at a time.
Excellent value, central location, efficient staff.
Wonderful location and reasonable price! Everything close to get like airport, amtrak, sea port, downtown and a cozy cafe is just next to! Carefull, this hotel has a big but gentle huggy hotel dog.
Bad experience. When we arrived, I was informed my reservations were canceled, I never canceled, and were given a lousy room. High hotel foot traffic late into the night that was very loud, no tv remote, crappy tv, super small room, overall a horrible stay!
The room was small, but overall the hotel was fantastic. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the free pastry/coffee in the adjacent café was a nice treat.
Location is right in little Italy.
Nothing Dirty, run down, and filled with drugs and homeless people
Get's the job done if all you have to do is sleep. Towels were like dish clothes, and they only gave you 1 (despite requests for more). No shampoo or other normal stuff.
The proximity to the airport. The room was hot. Had the air conditioner while I left for a couple of hours and when I returned it was as hot as when I arrived.
Great price and value, convenience of location, very friendly and helpful staff. No shampoo, conditioner, and lotion like most hotels, but this is minor given the great price.
