Cons: "Charging customers for meals on a transatlantic flight is a terrible way to nickel and dime your customers for the most basic provisions. Not all travellers carry accepted credit cards, including the woman sitting beside me. Because it is so common (formally standardized) for airlines to provide food on longer flights, many travellers assume their WestJet flight will the same and arrive unprepared. I normally love WestJet for their customer service, but these flight attendants talked down to customers with legitimate questions. I am choosing another airline for my next international flight, although reluctantly so - I hope to see some changes from WestJet for a more comfortable flight."

Pros: "I would give the crew 10 stars if I could! This was by far one of the best flights I’ve ever been on. I’m not a fan of having to pay/rent an iPad for entertainment, and it was a bit cold for my taste(I also had to pay for a tiny blanket). However, other than those two very minor things, it was a wonderful flight. I have never flown with a better crew, you could really tell they all actually enjoy their jobs. I loved that the pilot had a great sense of humor, he told a few funny jokes after we landed(while we were taxiing) it definitely helped make the time pass faster & I honestly think it put everyone in a good mood :) I have never been more satisfied with a flight. I will most definitely recommend WestJet to everyone I know, and will be my first choice for flying myself."

Pros: "Despite an ontime boarding, weather (thunderstorms) and air traffic congestion left us stuck on the tarmac for over 3 hours. Kudos to the captain for keeping us informed of every development and for taking the initiative to negotiate a southern flight plan routing that allowed us eventually to depart when other flights were being cancelled due to congestion in Heathrow airspace to the north. West Jet also put together a special team in Toronto to rebook passengers with connecting flights to later flights. This meant they had a new boarding pass ready and waiting for me by the time I got to Toronto, so the disruption was minimized."

Unfortunately, we ended up delayed on the tarmac for over 3 hours and they ran out of hot meals before they reached my seat row. I had to make do with crackers, cheese and fruit as my dinner. Lesson learned: always reserve my meal (or buy one) before boarding my flight - you never know what kind of delays will occur. To be fair, the crew did offer me a free glass of wine to go with it, which was a nice touch."

Cons: "Westjet will nickel and dime you for everything. Did a +9h flight from Vancouver to London and no meal is included during the whole flight. They keep trying to upsale you for everything. Not only is the food expensive it is also real garbage. Flight was delayed by 75 minutes and nearly missed my connection. Of course no checked baggage is included in your already expensive ticket. You have to fork in another 30$ for the privilege of checking luggage. WestJet pretends to offer 200-300$ cheaper plane tickets compared to the competition, but this is false. I found plenty of other flights for same or even cheaper prices with quality airline companies like Lufthansa or Air Canada that include a meal and checked baggage and other perks, but in my case I had already booked. I really recommending you looking for other airline companies for any flight that is not short haul. WestJet's slogan is an airline company with owner that care... Whatever the hell that means. Maybe someone can explain? WestJet brags about it's outstanding customer service while at the same time cutting every corner possible on service. Kind of a contradiction."

Not gonna lie, I was able to ask them for both a couple times, and they obliged."

On my flight to London, a mother with a young child wanted hot water and the staff (middle aged British male) was trying to tell her repeatedly she should say "please" when she asks. She was asking politely so this behaviour was rather poor in my view."

Cons: "None of them reminded me of the fact that I need a transit visa for the UK (I mean, isn't it rediculous? I am just staying there for 5 hours). When I called in for cancellation at the airline, they told me to talk to my agent company Cheaptickets. Cheaptickets simply told me that I can't get any money back, and was extremely arrogant and impatient. Later (for a week I was trying to save this ticket by talking to the British Embassy to see if I can get the visa done and they are just "we can't help you") they told me that I can get a refund of like 30 SGD and they promised to send me an e-mail about it. They never ever did. I also tried to change the dates and the handling fee + fair difference was like 1200 SGD (are you joking?) they simply told me, prices fluctuate... Finally I went to the check in counter desperate. The staff even refused to talk to me about my situation because simply, "there is no BA ticket office in Singapore" and told me to call them. I said the office is closed, but they are like, yeah just call them. They swept me off like a moron. Extremely arrogant, impatient, insensitive. I paid 900 SGD for nothing and a whole week of anxiety and regret. I will never take this and I will never use Cheaptickets or Kayak"

First email came speaking of a delay, then second, then about five emails later American Airlines notified me that there will be a 4 hour delay. To get from Philly to avoca on a flight is half an hour. On a bus, its two hours. If an airline knows there will be a four hour delay, how do you not provide that service? I watched plent of other flights go to AVP and even to Allentown, no one could offer one of those options to me? Cold, compressed and miserable experience."

The guy to my left was KNITTING, so was constantly jogging my arm which I carefully had kept inside the armrest on my side. I will avoid flying in a BA 747 in future. Even Business is awful on those jets. I flew in Business once, and thought the head to tail layout was the worst I have experienced. I pulled down the joint divider and thought the person in the next bed was dead, he was lying there with his arms crossed over his chest! It's time to update the 747's or retire them."

The customers were "sorted" but I finished up on a very long line with only one person serving; after 30 minutes, that person just wandered off, presumably for a break. We, on the queue waited for 15 minutes for a new person to return. When it was my turn to check in the process took no more tan 30 seconds whilst for others it had taken 10 minutes and more. Dreadful experience. The choice of entertaining films was limited on my flight; normally AC has a wide choice."

Then for people taking the morning flight, who probably haven’t eaten breakfast, you give them a measly omelet with a nasty side of spinach ? for the entire flight ? and a measly bag of pretzels ? Your starving the people which isn’t nice at all. Getting through baggage and getting in the flight was quite smooth and the air hosts were excellent. Entertainment was ok, there’s way to many Asian inspired films on there that I find are uninteresting, but hey, to each his own. Now coming back however was far better, the food was good, although can we stop putting soggy food into the mix, I know the food is premade but the mash potato is always so soggy and the vegetable mix has no flavour. Drinks are always great on the flight, entertainment was the same, hosts were great, pilot knows how to fly the plane, thank goodness, and overall it was a good flight back. Make the tiny adjustments I suggested and you’ll be at the top of your game Air Canada ! Merci !"

I was told at the airport that it needs to be submitted 24 hrs before the flight and there was nothing they could do. Really unfair and not on."

Toronto to London is a busy route so why charge such a high fare? Food. Be prepared for food that comes straight out of a cafeteria's frozen items. Entertainment. Slightly better than Turkish airline's which isn't an achievement by any means. Old aircrafts which don't have air vents. They really don't offer anything to you except charge you a lot for the busiest routes in the world. Try other airlines."

LONG DELAY and I missed my connection in Montreal, had to spend the night and had to argue with them to get them o pay for hotel. Ground staff in Montreal were wonderful, especially Antonella, but the whole experience was VERY stressful."

Pros: "Roomy, professional, friendly. Very efficient. Beverages, meals and snacks were timed well, so that the long flight felt like it went much quicker. I'm not particularly picky or spoiled, so me rating the breakfast and lunch as great, may not be the same fOr others. But my meals were delicious to me. I would definitely fly Canada air again."

Cons: "My traveling partner - Giovanni Medina - was given ill properly prepared food. He ended up getting food poisoning. We had a connecting flight in Montreal to Orlando (our final destination and home), he was suffering during the 2 hour lay over with an ill stomach and then had to suffer 3 more hours on a flight home. He was stopped from being able to go to the bathroom before takeoff because they needed him seated, but he immediately started vomiting right before we took off. He then spent the rest of the ride sick, they allowed him to move to the back in order to use the bathroom rather than the vomit bags, but he was not comfortable at all. He spent the rest of the night after landing in the bathroom continuing to vomit. We chose this airline because of the rave reviews of the food, entertainment, and hospitality of the crew. The latter two were certainly true. We definitely wanted to make sure that you knew of situation because this was a seriously uncomfortable situation for him and we would not want this to happen to anyone else. He had the chicken meal and the meat pastry on the flight."

Their selfishness causes problems for other passengers and the flight crew."

Pros: "Beautiful Planes , the rouge line is cheap on their international flights but only first class gets free entertainment . I was first class but my friend was economy and luckily had her own iPad or would not have been able to use anything , that being said the movies for her were still not free . The food was good as well and their regular planes from Europe are very large and beautiful"
Cons: "Worst experiences I've had with customer service . The flight crew were fine but all ground service appeared overwhelmed and unable to assist customers . I had a flight to Athens that was in final boarding my friend still has not arrived the first person I asked said she didn't have time to look if she was still on the flight , the second told me it was private info and finally a 3rd let me know she had been rerouted and would arrive 8 hours after me in Athens and that her bag though made my flight . She did last minute make it via running to our plane but in that time they had given her seat away, she had to prove that she paid did and deserved a flight . The way home from Athens all of my aid Canada flights were delayed and late . I had a 3.5 hour layover in Seattle to switch carriers to make it home , my flight out of Vancouver was 2.5 hours delayed that they continually said was only another 10 minutes , versus being upfront that it was severely delayed . Long story worst experience I've had ."

Cons: "When boarding the plane, they called the zones too quickly. Then there was an Air Canada representative giving bad directions to the passengers as to where to get in line. Then she got annoyed and was disrespectful to the passengers as they were trying to get in line. She needed to give better directions or change the way they called the zones. Air Canada knew the flight to Montreal was delayed when we left London. They changed our reservation to Toronto to a flight that we still couldn't connect with because of timing. It would have been easier if they were more realistic with the timing of the flight and booked us on a later flight to Toronto."

Pros: "The customer service folks at Air Canada. They worked very hard to get us on the second flight. Running through the airport with us, pleading with TSA to move along, trying to talk sense to some guy who eventually allowed people to get off a flight, but wouldn't let us on. I guess its easy to make those decisions when he makes the call from some office via a phone and doesn't have to face customers. All other Air Canada employees we worked with were exceptional!!! Kudos to them."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed 3 hrs from London. Once in Montreal the systems that Air Canada uses to correct the situation are horrible. There was no way we would be able to catch our rescheduled flight in the time it takes to deboard, go through customs, get bags, recheck bags, go through security. We didn't. We missed the next flight too despite the heroic efforts by the staff (excpetion - TSA security. They moved very very slow to the point that they seemed passive aggressive to our situation). This is the second time it has happened. I probably won't fly Air Canada again, if possible."

One meal included mashed potatoes and potato salad and I feel a green salad would have been a better balance. Taste was lacking a bit. Movie choices felt limited. This was "the" trip with the noisy, screaming 2yo sitting directly in front of me. I feel for the child and parents and feel some of the issue was the parent. Crew seemed to mostly ignore the situation. I'm a grandma so usually patient but others around me we clearly annoyed."

My bag was not delivered to me until 1 am the following day."

Cons: "The fact that because I was late for my flight, my reservation was cancelled. I was not given the opportunity to change my flight at all, I just lost out on the return portion of my travel. I would have been willing to pay a fee to change my return, but not given the opportunity. Had I booked directly with the airline, they would have had no problem making a change. Buyer beware!!! If you don't book directly with an airline, you may suffer the same fate as me! This was an almost $1,300 dollar learning experience. Do not use third party online booking agents! You do not have the same protections as dealing with the airlines directly."

Cons: "The person next to us was too heavy to fit in her seat, so she flowed over into my husbands, making the whole trip uncomfortable. In addition she had a smell. Not sure what can be done about it, but it made a long trip really uncomfortable. Service and food was also much better on the South African airlines portion of the trip."

Pros: "I really liked how updated the plane was. The wine selection was very good. The entertainment had plenty of things to do - movies and TV shows were updated. I enjoyed the ice cream, that was a very nice treat!"

At one point I was instructed how to load my (tiny) food tray properly after the meal. I am sorry but you are working for the airline and I am paying for service, which I didn't get."

Cons: "The cabin was blazing hot and stuffy for the whole trip. The cabin crew for the most part struggled with faking the whole "nice and pleasant" part of their job. Really made you feel like you inconvenienced them if you ask them a question..... I only asked one, "what are the food options?" I didn't have a measuring tap to prove it, but the seats definitely felt tighter than most aircraft, and were very uncomfortable. I never have difficulty sleeping on a flight, even a Ryanair flight, but I along with half the cabin could not get comfortable enough to nod off on this flight. It was reassuring that I wasn't being overly picky when I saw half the cabin going through the same discomfort as me. Food was even worse than the usually bowel clogging garbage that you usually get elsewhere. All in all, if you are saving $400-500 flying with these guys might be worth the trip for you......do not penny pince and fly with them if the are $200 cheaper, absolutely not worth it. As for me I travel too much, and life is too short to have to put myself through that again."

Cons: "We flew Air Transat from Vancouver to London and back as a family of 3. The seats were some of the most cramped that we've been in. Small space for leg room (and I'm only 5'3"), and the placement of the rigid boxes for the life jackets towards the front part of the seat made it impossible to rest your foot on the bar underneath. The arm rests went up, but not all the way back, so that further restricted room and made it awkward for my son to lean against me to sleep. The entertainment selection was OK, however it was the same for both directions, so the way home offered us a much smaller selection."

Pros: "Air transat is a great airline. Everything from the food to the service was amazing. Would 100% recommend them for your next holiday."

Pros: "We were able to select our seats and got front row with amazing leg room - we are both tall so it really made our trip! Staff were attentive and friendly and in flight entertainment options were awesome - lots of shows and movies and games to select from. Our flight departed and arrived perfectly on time. We will 100% be travelling with Air Transat again!"
Cons: "Typical airline food however other options were available for additional cost. I have no real complaints!"

Pros: "Getting off the plane"
Cons: "Lighting was terrible, movie selection was not up to date and the food was bad. It took over an hour to be served a microwaved vegetable sandwich"

Pros: "U. Guys do a GOOD JOB GREAT CUDTOMER SERVICE"

Pros: "The flight was not full so I had lots of extra space. Really great value for the plane ticket price."
Cons: "The emergency exit seats were very slimmer than other airplanes. There was a lot of leg room, but at the waist it felt like someone was holding me. (36 inch waist, male). Overall not bad."

Pros: "Crew were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed that the plan was not full and you had room to move."

Cons: "Flight was delayed about 2.5 hours. They ran out of vegetarian meals before getting around to all passengers with the meal cart, only to have tons of extra meat-based meals they were trying to give away afterward. Very little space for an international flight as well."

Cons: "The plane sat at the gate for nearly an hour before we left."

Pros: "Good leg room, comfortable seats, altogether a pleasing experience"
Cons: "The food was poor, so we didn't bother, but given the price of the tickets we couldn't complain"

Cons: "Bathrooms had no water, for toilet flushing or washing your hands. They knew before they took off. Wouldn't give us bottles of water to wash our hands with, could only use their squirt bottled of hand sanitizer. When I asked why they couldn't just give us water bottled, they told me they could only bring enough water to drink. The flight was half empty."

Pros: "Variety of things to keep you entertained."
Cons: "I found the crew un helpful with basic needs and with problematic situation onboard. And frankly rude."

Pros: "Staff was nice and attentive. Service was also excellent."

Pros: "Quick chech in."
Cons: "Seats are very uncomfortable. Cushion material Vinyl is hard to sit on. Armrests are plastic and vinyl which were hard on the elbows. Air Canada and other Airlines serve much better food. Tea / Coffee were bad taste."

Cons: "the blankets weren't free and neither was the alcohol. the flight would have been better if i could have been so intoxicated that i had no recollection of it. It was the most turbulent and we had to wait so long to get a run way and when we landed to get a terminal. I thought you guys planned this stuff ahead of time?"
