The door guys were outstanding. They got a taxi in seconds. Had transportation at the door ready at a given time as I requested. The views from the upper floors are mouth opening and a mind bogle. Wonderful views of river, buildings and sunsets. The rooms are modern in decor, design and spotlessly clean. The Italian restraunt is not gourmet food. The service is very good. The food is disappointing ... very much so. Room service is unbelieveably good. The steak and veal chop were outstanding. Stay in the room and eat there.
I most of all liked the staff and the atmosphere all around. There wasn't any aspect that I found displeasing with my stay at Trump Sohi Tower.

Friendly staff My room was very used , paint scratched, furniture old. The room was super dirty. Very dusty. Spills in bath and entry floors not cleaned, etc. find another
Pleasantly surprised how helpful the staff was. I thought i was at a mandarin oriental leval of service. New building. Felt very safe. For the price the room is a bit small, although comfortable and well appointed. A few blocks down from main shopping.

The design of the hotel and the location The service was extremely poor. The concierge was not very helpful. The rooms would not be cleaned unless requested and after several complaints. The coffee was brought cold. Walked into our room bathroom at 5pm to find the housekeeping bucket and mops in the middle of the bathroom. The bellman placed our shopping bags in a wrong room without so much as an apology.
Almost everything. From the comfort of the bed to the delicious hot tube. The room was clean and cosy. The restaurant was delicious and convenient for a rainy night. I asked for a body pillow to my wife and just got it hours later, after my third request. But I'm willing to consider this the result of some minor mistake.
Location, Nice Room
Every Associate we encountered was excellent; very warm, helpful and accommodating. Our 10th floor room was cozily decorated in darker tones and neutral accents. The furnishings were appealing, well built, and fitted to the room with adequate room to maneuver throughout. The bed was extremely comfortable and we left it each morning feeling rested and recharged. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in while traveling. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and was supplied as expected for this level of Accommodation. (I have managed hotels and know first hand that, even the appearance of clean, is impossible on white porcelain and ceramic tile. Exterior noise from inside the building went mostly unnoticed; city noise was acceptable without the a/c fan running but we set it to blow continuously and the city outside mostly faded away (A/C blew worked excellent). Amenities are as advertised; the lounge atmosphere and appearance brings to mind an image of a1920's / 30's sitting parlour - comfortable, elegant, and well suited for drinks, work, meeting a coworkers or friends. On the weekend we stayed, the lounge was fused with music of the runway, the city and SoHo. It was an excellent kickoff for our evening with friends. The location could not have been better for us; subway - entrance on same block; restaurants - all around; cabs - always; Minibar prices were beyond excessive (I wondered if I was staying in an Airport grab-n-go) Room services prices - also excessive - (see: Oatmeal) The Following Falls Under "...if that's all he can complain about...." (these were the only negatives I could remember; most likely because they were encountered repeatedly) : The drawer-pull's on the main chest of drawers were very difficult to get a hold of. If I had long nails, or carried traditional keys, I could have hooked these without a problem; alas, neither is the case. Although the stairs were our preferred method of "up and down"; we found it challenging to get from our floor (10th), to our friends floor (7th), via the elevator. The pass key security system didn't seem to allow exit onto a floor other than our own.

Room service was top notch! Every single staff member was extremely kind. The location is in the smack middle of everything wonderful and great. What is not to like in Soho? The one minus for us were the small bed, for 2 adults and a 5 year old. No king bed just queen if not a double. Overall, a great stay, we would request a rollaway in the definite future.

This hotel has been on my list of places to stay since it opened up so I was very excited to finally get here, albeit maybe 10 yrs later... The decor was beautiful and the staff were all excellent. This includes valet and maids that you pass in the halls. Unfortunately the state of our room was a little disappointing. We did check in early so it's possible they rushed to clean it. Our room was a roasting 78 degrees when we got there and the thermostat was clearly set to 80. The window barely opened so it did not provide much relief and switching over to AC only helped cool the room by the next morning. It was HOT and dry!!! Second disappointing thing was the used toilet paper still in the toilet. I also was challenged in my ability to flush it away, so I can see how it got left behind. Third thing was the random hair pins I kept finding throughout the room...
Front desk staff was great! Bathroom was spacious -- huge for NYC standards and the wall paper is beautiful! Bed was very comfortable!! Shower curtain smelled moldy. To be a dog friendly hotel, the dog bed provided was dirty, it stunk, had cigarette burns and ultimately, my dog refused to use it. The bell hops were very snobby and unfriendly.

It's location was what I liked best. Room was slightly small for what you pay. Decor in rooms is not up to what you pay for. Staff are slight too laid back... But maybe that's just the "cool" vibe of Soho.
We spent a night in the city away from the kids for V day. The view was good. Great neighborhood. Lots of places to go to, great restaurants and shopping nearby.

Look and feel of the hotel. Love the front courtyard. Although we did not have a chance to eat in the restaurant, the area looked amazing. The stay was overall good. The room was a little late in being available but that happens. The front desk staff was ok. Not overly friendly or warm but certainly not rude or short. iPhone dock was a bit old. Should at least have adapters for newer iPhones.
The room was very comfortable with light and modern decore (quite different than most NY hotels). It is a new hotel so the furniture and fixtures are still in good shape. The nearest subway station is around the corner and Soho is five minutes away by foot. Free Wi Fi internet service. The location is not as convenient as mid-town hotels for visiting the most popular museums, theatres and Central Park. Tribeca itself is not a very inspiring neighborhood. Most streets in the hotel's close vicinity contain warehouses and retail business, and therefore are not very attractive. The hotel's central space (where they serve breakfast) is dark and often cold.

Housekeeping staff were very nice. I stay there because it's near my son. I would probably stay somewhere less expensive if it weren't around the corner from him. The breakfast are overpriced and the food not that great although the presentation is good.
The Roxy is an indulgence in the best of ways. It's charming and comfortable. Well appointed and close to transit. The staff is friendly and attentive. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, but it was delicious. We were sort of sad we went elsewhere for Sunday brunch... The spread is amazing. There are few negatives to the Roxy, honestly. Location is good, but not great- safety was not a concern. Just don't expect to walk out the door and be somewhere, you'll need to hop the train or a cab. The space is comfortable, but the pillows (like most hotels') were worthless.

The hotel was very clean and quite stylish in a sort of modern-retro way. The minibar was the best I've seen in a moderately-priced hotel, and the room was quiet, comfortable, and elegant. The location is in a rather quiet corner of Manhattan, close to the core of SOHO, NOHO, etc., without being right in the middle of all the activity. When we first arrived we were told that our reservations were cancelled! The front desk staff were surprised to hear that I had not cancelled them, and calls had to be made before we were given a room. They apologized for the mistake, but the experience was alarming nevertheless. I recommend calling and confirming your reservation a day or two before arrival just to be sure you still have a room.

Great location. Great decor. The books everywhere gave it a cool and relaxing atmosphere. Loved housekeeping twice a day. Quiet. I really liked that they have no tub. Showers are so much cleaner and relaxing. No bar. No restaurant....yet. We should of been told of that when we booked.

Beautiful boutique hotel. The staff was excellent. Service was excellent. That is the most important to me. I will defintely return to this wonderful hotel and gladly recommend it to friends/colleagues/family! Believe it or not, in my room (56) the toilet paper holder is located in a very awkward location -- sort of gets in the way.
We loved the location in Soho, lots of great restaurants and shopping nearby, and we found the room to be very comfortable. The subway was convenient, with rapid service to midtown. Although the bar scene was fun to watch until midnight or 1 AM, it got annoying when we did try to sleep. That was our only issue.

The staff, particularly concierge, were amazing. Not only were they efficient in making bookings for us but they suggested some fantastic restaurants for us to visit. The room was quite big for a NY hotel. The bed was fantastically comfortable and we loved the Kiehl's bathroom products. The location of the hotel was excellent - so convenient for site seeing and shopping. We also loved Kittichai - fantastic food. All in all, a fantastic stay. Thank you!!!
The location was excellent, close to Subway, great restaurants and shopping. Noise in room on 11th floor (119) coming from elevator (we think) was like someone using an industrial stapler in the early morning hours. Unfortunately I'm a light sleeper.

The king bed was great and the toiletries are tops. There is a gap of more than an inch between the door and the floor - which means I heard every conversation in the lobby / lift and every ding of the bell. I also had to put a towel against the door to block out the light and some of the noise.
Great location in SoHo, cool modern decor and good sized room, friendly staff. Oh, and luxury soap. Lobby lacks charm and comfort - not the sort of place you want to hang out. Overly intrusive music.

Very clean, modern with good bed and linens. I appreciated having the charger and internet access. Well located for lower Manhattan and near public transportation. Friendly staff who truly try to be helpful. Unusually small, but perfectly adequate room. Good restaurant. No good place to hang bath towels to dry them so asked to have them changed each day. No magnifying mirror nor place to hang small personal laundry.

This hotel has an excellent location and benefits from modern design. Due to a mistake by Booking . com my 16 yr old son had to sleep on the floor for our first two nights . No roll-away beds were available and none could be obtained . I specifically included that our party was a 3 and this information was not conveyed to the staff at The James so its was not their fault or responsibilty to correct. I was extremely disappointed by this fact. The hotel staff did provide a roll up bed when one became available but it shouldn't have come to this if Booking . com had provided all the information given by its guests to the administration staff at The James. I would advise any customer who is travelling as a party of 3 to contact the staff at The James directly to confirm that roll away beds are available

It is a new design hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. Nice rooms ( not the small and ridiculous rooms we usually find in NY ) with graet light and huge windows. Best location impossible for whom going to have shopping and promenades. Really great.

Friendly staff. Stylish. Perfect location for my needs. Would love to make this my destination hotel for my monthly trips, but only if the price were reasonable. Way over priced for the fact that it was not finished and booking.com did not make it clear that the hotel was not yet finished, which was misleading. Lift to ground floor not working so had to carry bags down 2 flights of stairs when door staff not around. No restaurant or room service - although refreshments were offered "free of charge" in the lobby, when this is instead of a full or half service hotel its slightly different - its not a perk, its a necessity!

Second time staying here in 3 months. Love the location and quality. Able to check in early and check out late this trip, which really helped our itinerary (was rushing into town to go straight to my workshop, so it was nice to check in quickly and be able to put bags in room instead of leaving with concierge). Also was able to upgrade to a king bed since my boyfriend came down with me last minute. Staff was super accommodating. Close to 1/2/3 and C/E trains, as well as a couple blocks from 6/N/R/Q/W trains, so it was easy to get around to east or west side. I'm a light sleeper and find these rooms to be on the quieter side (we were facing the back of hotel, which faces downtown). No fridge in room. Definitely a business feel to hotel, but didn't really make a difference to me. In fact, I chose the Sheraton bc in NYC hotels can vary widely and I found that chain hotels give a good consistent experience no matter the location.

Great location in soho. Staff was very helpful and parking easy. The room was clean and new. A great view with very clean sheets and duvet. A good mattress Bathroom was new and clean. Room was not big but neither was the price tag. Liked it much better than the soho grand that shows it's age
