We were in disbelief the moment we boarded and saw the airplane. 10 people across jammed into the row??!! - and on an long international flight?? - are you kidding??!! Further, these were the SMALLEST seats I have EVER been forced to sit in. Neither I, or my friend came close to fitting. We literally had to alternate getting up and standing because we were literally overlapping each other when we sat! (His shoulder and arm were literally on top of me!!). It was so bad that when the stewardess came rolling down the aisle with her cart, I had to be aware and see her in advance so I could literally TURN MY BODY OVER TO THE LEFT HALF ON TOP OF THE PERSON SITTING NEXT TO ME SO SHE WOULDN'T TAKE OFF MY ARM AND SHOULDER. ULTIMATELY, SOMEONE, OR MORE THAN ONE PERSON, IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT BY THIS RECKLESS, GREED-DRIVEN DESIGN!! The OVERT GREED by the airline (American) clearly reflected by this in trying to JAM as many human beings into a flight as possible like Sardines is DISGUSTING!!! You simply DO NOT TREAT HUMAN BEINGS THIS WAY!! It is also clear evidence that there needs to be tighter standards, regulations and penalties by the FAA and what is allowed by airlines. AND I AM SENDING A LETTER TO THE FAA!!!"

T he seats were cramped and uncomfortable, I was unable to pick my seat on any flight and despite my request could not change it. Boarding at Chicago was a farce, none of the ground crew seemed to be in charge and we barely started boarding with 20 mins to takeoff. Needless to say the flight left late and we had to wait to take off, and of course had to wait to land in London."

On July the flight was schedule for 9...pm then delayed for two hours because of a fire, other passengers said, in London. At around 11pm, we were asked to line up for boarding. We stayed on line for an hour and fnally to be told the flight was cancelled. We were treated less than animals by British Airway. No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!!! No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!! We slept on benches at the airport. To be fair to you, I will not recommend British Airway to anyone."
Pros: "I had to buy new clothes after lost bag and since bag had been lost twice during my trip, I was reluctant to check the bag. It was of size to cram into my carry on so I did that, but American staff demonstrated concern, had a sense of humor and helped me get a comfortable seat to sort of take some of the sting away. All that was great of them I was aware of being in an upgraded seat. No complaints, but it stung a little because I was deeply aware of the reinforcement of class. The small, extra comforts were wonderful and I wish everyone had them while risking their lives together over the ocean - especially the extra room At times, on the way over I felt a claustrophobic panic. But to stay positive, they were kiind, sympathetic, funny, sweet. I appreciate them."

Then I realized AA had put a Boeing 757 on flight AA55 instead of the usual 767 and it doesn't have enough fuel for the westbound flight against prevailing headwinds. When I got home AA had sent me 2 emails - 1 advising me of a delay on my AA55 flight MAN-YQX (Gander), despite the fact that the schedule calls for a flight MAN-ORD. The 2nd rebooking me on a later AA flight from ORD-SGF. AA are guilty of deception here and their sleight of hand caused me 4 hours delay arriving at SGF and a night in a hotel instead of driving home."

What I got was my trip to Philly to Manchester with middle of the middle seats (I PAID FOR AISLE). On the way back we got a change through Chicago (which I tried to avoid by booking in August). We did get the proper seats, fortunately. I will never book with your company again. So dissatisfied ....I booked so early and to no advantage."

The people at the desk let us know that it was because we checked in online. Two flight attendants were obese, the rest were just overweight, all but one unkempt, sloppy, washed out. Worst looking crew I've ever seen. I think they belong in another field. No inflight film after many attempts to re-boot system. What has happened to American Airlines standards, they used to be so high?"

Although I was exhausted because I had a 8 hour layover in Manchester, it would have been nice to have a couple of entertainment options. On my flight on British Airways from New York to Gatwick, we had so many movie and series options. These things are important on a long flight, otherwise the flight becomes torturous because you run out of things to do. On this flight, we had no choices, only what was given to us to watch. This made my flight unbearable."

The best option if you are hungry is to either eat in the terminal or bring something you do enjoy with you. The movie selection had nothing you likely have not seen already. Be aware that sometimes PHL moves slowly. We waited over 5 minutes for the plane door to open. Bags took about 40 minutes to come up. There were no lines at immigration. Connecting in less than 2 hours can be iffy."

Even the ground staff have no control over the hand carry on luggage, just allowing everyone on board and ended up with horrifying situation which caused the delays in take off, disrespect between the black and white AA staff. No respect for each other. My worst experience in history flying with AA."

This was one of the worst arrangements in the world. - One of the flight attendants, not all, seems quite bothered to serve us. I don't appreciate that. - No Wifi available - Flight was delayed"

The guy to my left was KNITTING, so was constantly jogging my arm which I carefully had kept inside the armrest on my side. I will avoid flying in a BA 747 in future. Even Business is awful on those jets. I flew in Business once, and thought the head to tail layout was the worst I have experienced. I pulled down the joint divider and thought the person in the next bed was dead, he was lying there with his arms crossed over his chest! It's time to update the 747's or retire them."

Cons: "I was first sent to the wrong terminal by a female flight attendant. When I arrived at the other terminal, I had already missed my initial flight, so crying back to terminal 3 another nice lady helped me get on the next flight to chicago and from their I had to take a flight to Philly. This really made me upset as I had nursing classes the next day and I would not reach philly until 8pm that night. On the flight to philly from chicago, the plane ride was decent, the crew was nice, but their was no more over head space and I had to give my carry on for them to put in the back of the plane with the rest of my baggage. The plane was small and I did not expect this flight."

Three pieces of luggage came 2 days later that we had to go back to airport to get. The fourth was delivered one week later with only 3 wheels!"

However, there was no restriction or clause listed on the ticket stating that I had to cancel through priceline also. It really should not matter who I cancelled through, if I canceled within 24hrs the refund should be given. Also, the debits from my account said United as well as priceline taking me to United's web page to make the purchase. So of course one would think cancelling through United's site is appropriate. I'm very disappointed in United and will consider all other options (Airlines) before booking with them again. PS - United customer gave me the run around for 3 days knowing that it was their policy and they were the company who's keeping my money. Absolutely ridiculous."

The waiting area was small so it got congested quickly when 3 flights were boarding at the same time. Even though United checked us in by group number, we had to board a bus to get to the plane. So, the group number system wasn't really enforced when we actually got on the plane -- more like first come, first served at that point. First class and business class did get to go ahead on a different bus. We also had to climb stairs from the tarmac - could be an issue for the disabled."
