It wasn't clear that we would need to pay to check our luggage, especially since every international flight I have ever been on allows you a checked bag at no cost. When we got to the airport it cost us $130 each to check our bag which we were told it would have been around $50 if we had done it online ahead of time (if we knew). $130 per bag is excessive for checked luggage and we were extremely frustrated and disappointed. I like to fly Virgin when I can due to comfort but that experience left much to be desired.
BA doesn't give food. Must purchase... No problem!! BA doesn't accept USA or China CC or debit. I was starving! After using on earlier flight, I knew I could use Apple Pay. Old, dumb, inconsiderate, rude flight attendant wouldn't even attempt trying alternative payment. She humiliated me. I was uncomfortable, embarrassed, hungry, and furious the entire flight. Never ever again! British Airways is incompetent!
for 4 hours flight the crew decided to give breakfast at the first hour instead of the last. everybody was asleep and in fact no body had breakfast. the boarding was late the aircraft was missing and cause additional delay... TERRIBLE
My seat..... No row in front of it.
Crew were excellent. Friendly and professional
Had a TVs show I've been wanting to see, Blackish, which we don't get in the Uk
Choice of films. I've seen a lot of them and the rest were awful
Why do flights always serve chocolate biscuits, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake? Strawberries, carrots and humous, grapes, olives, would make a nice alternative for example.
Hot food boring, tasteless
The boarding process and flight was smooth and punctual
We were stuck on the plane for over an hour after we landed in Munich without enough updates on the situation. We waited for the stairs and bus to come then when we got to the terminal our bags did not come and I had to get my baggage shipped. This was very inconvenient and there was not any notification for the baggage delay.
The crew woman that assist us in Barcelona Airport counters for the check-in was really rude asking very personal question that I still don't understand why and questioning our passports without any reason. My partner and I felt very uncomfortable and that was a totally unnecessary situation.
After that everything was totally great during the flight.
I flew with multiple international airlines this summer and KLM was by far the best. The crew of KLM were exceptionally attentive, polite, and helpful. The meals were by far the most enjoyable of my airplane travel meals; and I learned that KLM does not charge for it's drinks on international flights, unlike most other international airlines that I traveled with this summer. In a sentence, flying with KLM was a very pleasant experience and I will recommend this airlines to others.
If I were going to list any negatives, I would say that the little travel pillow that was given to the passengers was so thin that it was practically useless, but I brought my own with me, so I was none the less comfortable.
The Amsterdam airport is super disorganized, with rude employees great at making excuses for their incompetence.
The boarding crew really struggled to organized the boarding and wouldn't really care about people's status. We had to take a bus to the airplane, and even though both plane's entrances were open, they sent everybody to the front entrance.
The comfort of the plane was horrendous, with seats over 20 years old and their business class was the same as the coach, but with no one sitting in the middle (can you get any lower than this?)
The flight attendant woke me up to shove a food tray that I didn't want.
We had to wait over 45 minutes after the plane landing to start seeing some luggage show up on the conveyor bell.
The overall flight experience make southwest look like a luxury airline. This was my first and last time flying on KLM.
Iberia should do something about its check-in process, it seems way below the industry standards.
1. Online check is only worth if you don't have any luggage. If you do, there's no point of doing that, because there's one line for both check-in and luggage drop off.
2. If you arrive to the airport 1h45min before the flight (LOCAL flight!!!), you'll be among the last ones to check-in, because you will spend about an hour in the line (there's just two people at the register: one for economy and one for business). In the end everyone in the line will get checked in (thanks for that), but the flight will be delayed and Iberia will blame the security (which takes 5 min to pass, unlike the check-in process.
Some payment fees are estimated. Not all providers support all payment methods.
