No apologies given, the flight that was originally scheduled for 8 pm left close to 11 pm. While boarding the only light is a purplish ambient lighting that made it impossible to read anything, including the safety material, until the inflight entertainment was loaded up (the lights are only controlled through software-actuated virtual buttons on the screen). The inflight entertainment system is hard to use, too, designed by idiots for use by geniuses. But the very worst thing was the stress caused by Virgin Atlantic in just about guaranteeing that we would miss this flight. On our outbound voyage in January, VA, for reasons nobody knows, booked an ADDITIONAL leg from JHB to CPT on BA at 12:30 pm, even though we were already ON the earlier 9:30 BA flight we'd booked and paid for. Then, when we didn't show up for this spurious flight (because we were already in the air) we didn't book (BA swears they have evidence that VA made this booking), our return flight CPT to JBG three months later was cancelled WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE. If I hadn't been interested in knowing, the day before the flight, if the return BA flight had a meal, I would have showed up at the CPT airport in April and discovered that I had no way to get to the VA flight in JHB! As it was I spent an entire day trying to get back on the flight I'd already paid for. I advise EVERYONE who uses VA to reconfirm flights over and over. There is still no explanation for this. I will never NEVER fly VA again. They are not to be trusted."

If LH knows that the flight is booked close to capacity I would have expected they do their part and due diligence by swapping to a bigger aircraft to help protect people and their customers, it’s not that they wouldn’t have other aircrafts grounded and ready to go... A reduced beverage service is all you can do, really? LH - very disappointing once again"

When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Cons: "My flight was delayed. Because they assumed we would miss our connection, only sent our checked bags to Mexico City rather than SJO. If our bags had been transferred instead of us waiting we couldn’t made the connection. They had us on a flight 9 hrs later than planned, arriving at 1am after our car rental would be closed without plans to stay in the city. We had to argue, beg, plead to go to Panama first and the to SJO so that we would arrive at 7. During the flight my friends entertainment screen was broken. He had to repeatedly ring for the flight attendents, only to be ignored every time before they finally moved him to a different seat. Overall terrible experience. None of the people we dealt with were the least bit caring or human about the situation."
Pros: "Actually, the flat bed seat is not an Aeromexico virtue, this is part of the 787-800 series. Fortunately, All Nippon Airways is serving Mexico City and there is no doubt what is gonna be my next option."

The chicken was carved 2 weeks ago and stored in permafrost before serving. 4. I've flown 7 times the same route with Aeromexico and this was the worst of all of them."

We asked the supervisor to allow us to visit the VIP lounge to rest and this was denied. Supv did not assist us in locating a hotel. We spend 12hrs in Mexico City airport, dragging our luggage around until we were allowed to check it in, in the middle of the night. We have flown AeroMexico numerous times before. In June 2016 we purchased "6" tickets for Cancun with AeroMexico. In 2017, we will NOT be flying AeroMexico. We will book on a different airline."

Entertainment console crashed four times, first crew member didn’t seem to care (aloof for most of the flight), other attendants seemed marginally more interested. No one checked back to see if the problem was resolved. Flight attendants seem to be in “check the box” mode doing only what was necessary."

Pros: "The airplane was new and very spacious. Air hostess were very accommodating. The flight took off and landed on time. Food and snack quality was amazing. Entertainment options were plenty. Restrooms were clean and smelled fresh through the journey."
Cons: "Since my flight was connecting from London to New York we barely had a break even though we were suppose to have a 2.5 hour layover. As soon as we got off our first plane we were directed to American Airline security where they questioned me about my trip and what I did in Spain. Then I was directed to TSA where it took a long time to get through the lines. I got to my gate an hour before take off and they were already boarding. I didn't have a moment to take a bathroom break or grab a drink/snack. But again, this experience was not all that bad because all the positive notes listed above."

It was boarding time and no agent was at the gate. 10 minutes past boarding time the screen shows that the flight is delayed 25 minutes... but wait, there is still no plane at the gate! After 45 minutes the plane arrived, again had to be "cleaned" and prepared for flight back to SF. Customers were told the flight was delayed because Air Traffic Control issues in SF, but there was no plane in sight... Again I felt we were being lied to. The plane was filthy with garbage everywhere still. I will never fly American Airlines by choice!"

Republic flight from New Orleans it's not worth it the business class, very poor service ."
