Pros: Nothing

Cons: I lived in the area of the hotel for 19 years and had recently moved away from the district. We had booked into the hotel on a visit back to visit friends, on check in we were greeted from the reception staff and after they had discussed something on their screen they gave me a key to a room. Entering the room we almost straight away decided we were not going to stay in there. The room had food and toe nails on the floor by the bed. Let's say the reception wasn't to surprised to see me, after explaining about the room they mumbled something about the room maid. We were the given another room which was similar but clean. Around 6.00 am we were woken by the sound of beeping, we had been given a room outside the service entrance and a busy car park. I decided not to mention this and tried to spend as little time as possible in the hotel. After all the years driving past the hotel which looks grand from the outside its was such a disappointment. I won't be staying at the Clarendon again and wouldn't recommend the place to anyone. I actually run a B&B and i would never treat my guest to such awful accommodation. The breakfast was buffet style and not that great. I payed £505 for 4 nights for such accommodation it wasn't worth half that. Keep clear of the Clarendon

Pros: The staff, especially at reception, were absolutely fantastic! They loved my boys, were so nice towards us and everything we needed they made sure we were happy. Staff at breakfast were also lovely and made the environment very child friendly.

Cons: Tv in bedroom not working and beds were too soft! But we loved every second of our stay and we will definitely stay there again!

Pros: The staff were great! The hotel was it the perfect location for where we needed to be! Room was perfect for us, but slightly old fashioned. Breakfast was very nice too.

Cons: It was quite outdated, could do with jazzing up a little. The bathroom shower was broken and leaking a lot when running but nothing that bothered us too much..

Pros: The staff were excellent A special mention for Isabella ( restaurant) and Johnny (bar) Overall everyone very helpful and friendly

Pros: Room was a quadruple for 3 of us beds so comfy.bathroom bit on small side but it was ok for our needs.breakfast was ok but we went when about to close so wasn't too hot but i found the whole place and staff excellent.

Cons: What a fantastic place to stay everything was spot on I would recommend the clarendon Hotel to anyone we are seriously thinking about having our wedding reception there

Cons: Very noisy. You should be aware that there is a pub downstairs and they have concerts almost every day. It Is suitable for "night owls" not for people who want to go sightseeing.

Cons: It was difficult identifying who was a staff at the place... When faced with a problem we did not know who to address except the receptionist....the staff didn't have anything in a form of tags to identify them as staff.... The luggage room was very untidy

Cons: The sound of machinery from nearby (from neighbours air conditioning?) was annoying and disturbed our sleep

It was filthy, stank, bathrooms were covered in mould it’s not looked after at all. The windows don’t close in our room meaning the room was freezing and the noise was horrendous. I am shocked it’s even still in business. The kitchens stank had mouldy food on the floor, it was really dirty. We couldn’t eat in there we stayed out of the hostel as much as we could. I’m shocked that booking.com even have this hostel under there business it was awful mostly because of the filth. The main kitchens were tiny. All of the cooking items were disgusting. There was no games room and you couldn’t use the pool table. There was also no free parking which was the main reason we chose this place. The WiFi was rubbish and hardly ever worked either. There was blood on the sheets and hair. Complete dive slept in our clothes on top of blankets we had to buy as I couldn’t afford to get another hotel

Pros: Very friendly staff, close to good transport links for the buses and the trains. There is also a very large supermarket nearby, which is very handy.

Cons: There is a lot of noise.

Cons: The only thing that I didn't like was that my room's window (room 14) can't be closed so I had to sleep in cold the whole night.

Cons: Noice later in the night was disturb after 10PM. But overall, goodness is on. Breakfast is free in most hostels around Lewisham/New Cross. This should be reviewed £3.50 for Breakfast... New Cross and some places in London for the same value of money for Room, Free Internet and Freakfast include.
