The French side celebrates Carnival before the Catholic Lent period, the 40 days before Easter. This means that dates might vary from mid-February to early March. It is advisable to start searching for flights as far in advance as possible if planning on travelling at these times of year.

  • I’m travelling to Marigot. Which airport should I choose?

  • I’m travelling to Philipsburg. Which airport is closest?

Taking the fastest possible route, Philipsburg is around 20min by car from Princess Juliana International Airport and just over 20min drive from Grand-Case Espérance Airport. However, to avoid a potential delay for having your travel documents checked, note that Philipsburg is on the Dutch side of the island, which is served by Princess Juliana airport.

The exact address of your hotel in Saint Martin Island is a requirement.

  • How does KAYAK find such low prices on flights from the United Kingdom to Saint Martin Island?

Top tips for finding cheap flights to Saint Martin Island

  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Saint Martin Island flight deals.
  • Two airports serve the island of Saint Martin Island, or Sint Maarten. Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) serves the Dutch side of the island and is the airport with the most options when it comes to booking flights to Saint Martin Island. Grand-Case Espérance Airport (SFG) serves the French side of the island and only has domestic flights from neighbouring French islands in the Caribbean, like Martinique and Guadeloupe.
  • There are no direct flights to Saint Martin Island from the United Kingdom. If you’re flying to SXM, expect one or two stopovers. Passengers travelling to Espérance Airport will have a flight with at least two stopovers.
  • If you choose to fly with KLM to Saint Martin Island, expect to have a stopover at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS). Alternatively, direct flights to Saint Martin Island operated by Air France depart from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
  • Despite the island being divided into a French and a Dutch territory, there are no physical borders between the two sides, meaning that you can fly to the Dutch side even if planning to stay on the French side. However, when passing from one side of the island to the other, you might be requested to show your travel identification.
  • What currency to use in Saint Martin depends on which side you're travelling to. On the French side of the island the official currency is the euro, while on the Dutch side of the island the official currency is the Netherlands Antillean guilder. Most businesses, however, will accept payments in euros and credit cards. Although there are ATMs at the airport, they are not always reliable, so it’s wise to bring cash to pay for initial expenses, like a taxi from the airport. To make it simpler, businesses on both sides of the island accept euros.

Crew is not the cheerful type. very slow meal service (this is their style as have flown this many times)

Flight was on time, staff are friendly and helpful onboard.

Couldn’t get boarding pass in SLC even with help from a redcoat, so had to find a desk in AMS to get boarding pass. Technical problems so not sure why. Very inconvenient. The KLM app is not as user friendly as most apps. Also had to wait almost an hour on the tarmac for a fuel truck, which caused us to miss a connecting bus in LUX.

First of all we couldn’t check in online, then we learn at the airport we were on stand by for KLM’s mistake of overbooking. The seats were not comfy at all. Our luggage got lost.

Ad experience - been flying many years with them but they are losing out to other carriers with their service and bagage / seating policy. My 2 12-yo kids were not placed with the parent. Absurdity.

Short flight so it was okay. Nice crew, all very pleasant and professional. We were near the back in row 27 so just as we got our drinks, we started our descent so had to drink very quickly!

The baggage drop-off in Stuttgart is bad: after online check-in you cannot use the automated baggage drop off as indicated on the website. You can use the terminals but have to cue to 1 of three open and slowly working counters to drop the bags. took about 45 minutes wait time.

Our first flight was delayed so we missed our connecting flight. However it was easy to book a later flight on their app.

My flight was delayed by 6 hours then I missed BOTH of my connecting flights, I then had to stay in the AIRPORT at JFK because soooooo many people also suffered from missing flights and there was no hotels available. I would like to be compensated for this experience! I had to stay in the airport for over 16 hours!

The service was great. However the lounge only gets passing grade

Positive: It was refreshingly easy and polite check-in and boarding staff. Flight was on time and Helsinki is a very well-signposted airport. Shopping was nice as well. Flight was not full and I had lots of space in economy. Flight was perfectly on time. Negative: Food and drink not very good, but that it is normal on any airline. Didn't expect anything else.

Business seating is soooo uncomfortable. You can sit straight up or lay down. You need pillows behind you because the back doesn’t lay down. Those are need to “prop” you up. The chair has no padding whatsoever. Food was gross. I’ve eaten on Finnair before and the food was exceptional. This time it gave 2 people in our party diarrhea. It was the chicken dish. I took 2 bites and didn’t eat anything more. The flight attendants were nice. You needed an additional lounge in Terminal D at DFW Airport. After waiting 40 minutes to enter, we finally gave up and went to a bar across from the club doors. I’m unsure if I’ll ever book a Finnair flight again.

Very good seat, very comfortable, good food, and good service.

It was a good flight, very comfortable seats for sleeping in business class. Probably the most comfortable business class seat I've ever had (20+ times in business class on various airlines). Service was good, but the only downside is my screen didn't work and it had to be reset multiple times to get it to shut off. I had to block my eyes because the screen was white almost the entire flight and I wore an eye mask when I slept. But when eating and reading in my seat, my eyes hurt because the only way to turn the screen off was reset it and the screen would only be off for a few minutes at a time.

Everything was wonderful! AirBus seats are more comfortable to sleep in as compared to the Boeing planes.

All reviews good because...flight from BWI to London ,economy seats was miserable. I usually book 1,step up from economy but this would have added 1500 bucks 1 way. Bit the bullet and upgraded for retun flight, otherwise all ratings would have been rock bottom.

Great. It was awesome to have boarding from the front and back of the plane as it made the process go very quickly

It was okay. The airplane was a little smaller than a flight from Thailand to Helsinki.

Wish that everyone would board the back of the plane first. Also let kids on first. The gate wasn’t open at arrival and we waited 45 minutes to takeoff. They made up for time in the air.

This was an absolutely exceptional flight. The flight attendants were extremely attentive and very friendly. They seemed to go out of their way to make us comfortable and to make sure that we had everything we needed., We were in business and were very happy with the size and the details for our pods. We would definitely recommend Finnair and will definitely be flying with them again.

The boarding was efficient. The entertainment system was a bit unstable but Air France has a good selection of movies.

They lost my bag and I still haven’t received it yet

They lost my bag and I still have not received it

Communication on the delay, rebooking and how to get a hotel was poor. Mails, airport check-in and transfer desk said different things.

Safe and stable made me sleepy and I slept and dreamt 😂😂😂😂

Food was really mediocre for premium economy in comparison to other airlines… the crew was nowhere to be found… 14 hour flight…

I don’t like that an equipment change caused my seat to change from 23A to 44A. The boarding was also delayed. The crew were excellent, however and very attentive. The food was not bad.

Worst airlines either. First leg was delayed because of crew not available. My connection was missed so they booked me automatically the next day! But, impossible to get anyone on site, web site does not let me access my reservation anymore, confirmed by useless agents over the phone. My 2-leg trip with part in business class arriving at 4:10pm ends up in an awful 3-leg arriving at 9pm the next day with no way to even choose the seats and of course at the very end of the plane. I can understand problems arrive but the way Air France handle it is just unacceptable. You are on your own. Apparently getting you to your destination is the only thing they consider their duty. The customer experience and fatigue is none of their concern. And I have a status with them. I will reconsider my priorities when flying with Air France and encourage everyone to do the same.

Our flight crew were terrific. And they handle a difficult passenger with finesse.

Excellent, Lima to Paris. But Paris to Amsterdam, delayed, missed my flight and KLM treated its missed flights passengers very badly, terribly bad. No hotel accommodation given. Passengers were told to find their own hotel accommodation and claim at reasonable rate and left the booth and literally with armed Police Officers listening to passengers complains. For three hours, after moving by Uber from hotel to hotel and calling and booking online, no hotel was available. I had to return to the airport and seat/sleep on the benches, suffering the cold, and rats running around until my new allocated flight the next day. It was the most terrible KLM treatment even seen and being a Business Class passenger. Still mentally suffering to date as a result.

An delay of almost 3 hours while passengers were already in the plane kept us very uncomfortable. The food was also very limited. A bad experience overall.

I understand that there is a catering issue - water should be the minimum stock. During the flight, not once that the attendants came through with water. The conversations in the kitchen were very loud and they were swearing. I do not expect any white glove service, at the minimum, we should be cordial. It was almost an inconveniece that we were on the flight. And it made us feel if you even dare question us, we'll make you deplane.

The flight attendant use 1.5 hours to answer my call. My dirty food tray was unattended.

The flight was completely full. Crew was not happy. Everyone was rude and brusque. Travelling with an arm in a cast and seating in the first row of economy cabin (in front of the separation) I needed help retrieving my tray for the meal. A staff member literally threw the tray on my lap, without helping to take out the tray. Boarding was messy, with 300 people waiting in an encloses space with low ceiling. I will try to avoid AA next time I have a long flight.

The business class seats are dated and uncomfortable. The space is bare minimum and there is absolutely no privacy. For $4K, this is not what I expect.

Flight, food and crew were all good, friendly and very satisfactory.

Lost luggage after 2 days no word leaving on cruise no stuff or clothes

Staff's did their best to make everyone comfortable and I appreciate them for it

Pathetic check in experience once again. Not enough staff scheduled at bag drop or for special assistance at LHR. Really need to rethink the whole self check in procedure. The crew was good. A very decent selection of special meals in this leg as compared to the JFK-LHR leg.

Very clean and comfortable cabin. Amazing Mediterranean salad for lunch before landing. Great range of films to watch. Really quiet and easy to sleep on the flight also. The initial food was a bit weird: odd fried chicken pieces in some weird white gloop, but that would be my lack of cultural knowledge on the grub. Salad more than made up for it at the other end. Staff were super attentive and helpful. Great and easy flight

You will pay for everything and feels like the airplane is old

The luggage problem I previously mentioned was actually this flight

The flight was delayed due to snow in Frankfurt. There wasn't much information from BA or the airport, but Kayak was great and kept me informed of the delay and gate changes.

Late takeoff, but on time landing. Lost bags, 3 days to find them, still in transit to my location. Power outlets broken, Wi-Fi not working, so much for working on the long flight.

Good. For a long flight. The comfort of the seat could be better. Also, the food was « normal » plane food. Not indian plane food unfortunately! Everything else was smooth and great.

The seats were comfortable. So many empty seats allowed for stretching out and sleeping. The onboard entertainment was pretty good. The cabin crew were so kind and kept the passengers well- hydrated, and well fed.

We had American Airlines on our return and it was confusing if we were going with Aa or BA I had 2 different flight numbers and didn’t get our gate until it was boarding. So we were a bit nervous as the which it was

No WiFi. No food. 250 ml of water only drink option. No entertainment options. Extremely bare bones flight

Really appreciated the care, attention and friendliness of cabin crew. Very comfortable, prompt and efficient flight.

Economy seats were good and spacious. Much better than virgin by a mile.
