  • There are two main airports in Jamaica – Montego Bay Sangster International Airport (MBJ) and Kingston Norman Manley International Airport (KIN). If you are staying at one of the resorts on the island, then Sangster International Airport is the best airport to fly into as it provides good access to both the north and south coast and also has a number of connecting flights to smaller domestic airports. The airport in Kingston also receives international flights from the UK, although they are fewer in number.
  • For visitors looking at flights to Jamaica to visit Ocho Rios and the surrounding attractions, the most convenient route is to fly into Sangster International Airport and take a ground transfer to the town of Ocho Rios.

If you are hiring a car, you can reserve a car seat in advance.
  • It is possible to fly into Jamaica in possession of local currency and it is also possible to take Jamaican currency out of the ATM once you are in the country or buy currency at a bureau de change using foreign cash. This can be done at the airport or in banks and some hotels, though you may need cash to pay for your transfer from the airport, so it is wise to bring some local currency with you.
  • Although there is public transport available at the three major Jamaican airports, if you leave your airport transfer when you arrive, you might struggle to get onto the buses leaving the airport and will have to catch a taxi. Public taxis at the airport are known to overcharge. To avoid this pre-book your bus transfer through KAYAK, or arrange a shuttle with your hotel in advance.
  • While on the plane, you'll need to fill in a customs and immigration form, which is mandatory for all visitors to the island. You'll need to use a black or blue pen to fill in this form. Any other colour will not be accepted by officials so be sure to pack one in your carry-on luggage. If you are flying to Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, you'll have access to 'Club Mobay', which is an online platform where you can fill the form in ahead of time.
  • Three crucial items you'll need as soon as you land in Jamaica is insect repellent, bottled water and sunscreen. Unfortunately, you won't be able to take large containers of these items through security when boarding your plane in London, so it's best to buy at duty-free or when you arrive in Jamaica. If you are flying to Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) you can access the departures duty-free area at the airport, and do some quick shopping.

All reviews good because...flight from BWI to London ,economy seats was miserable. I usually book 1,step up from economy but this would have added 1500 bucks 1 way. Bit the bullet and upgraded for retun flight, otherwise all ratings would have been rock bottom.

It was okay. The airplane was a little smaller than a flight from Thailand to Helsinki.

Wish that everyone would board the back of the plane first. Also let kids on first. The gate wasn’t open at arrival and we waited 45 minutes to takeoff. They made up for time in the air.

This was an absolutely exceptional flight. The flight attendants were extremely attentive and very friendly. They seemed to go out of their way to make us comfortable and to make sure that we had everything we needed., We were in business and were very happy with the size and the details for our pods. We would definitely recommend Finnair and will definitely be flying with them again.

We had an excellent trip with Finnair. This was our first time and we’re very pleased. The only issue was with the boarding - it was a little bit confusing and needs a little bit of streamlining.

Crew very lovely. Arrived an hour late due to bad weather. We were given new tickets to an other flight but it could have been organised better, so we did not have to run through the whole airport to.

Flight delayed over an hour. They said they would hold our connection but then did not.

Major problems checking in at Alaska counter. They could not find our booking code because it came from Finnair.

Do not use KAYAK or Finair for future travel. Unless you purchase the tickets directly from the airline, you were going to have a difficult time checking in. Kayak canceled my flights twice and ended up causing great difficulty in me getting back from Europe because they double sold my tickets between American Airlines and Finair. The event caused significant delays and led to me having to rebook my flights.

The staff were all particularly great. The plane was clean and fresh. The bassinet worked great. It was all very nice.

Great staff great experience, made a 2 hour delay very bearable

Great staff, great experience, made a 2 hour delay very bearable

Food was the worst I’ve had on a VA flight. Normally it’s a lot better

I was my pleasure to fly virgin on my birthday for my first solo trip ever 🫶🏼

These are one of the older seat arrangements facing away from the windows! Not particularly convenient sets. No storage spaces. NO COAT HANGING HOOKS. Inconvenient business class seat compared to any other airlines of similar class. Staff are excellent! Extremely professional, friendly. Food is good too.

Overall, flight was excellent but check in was very slow for Premium Economy. Economy queue was shorter but we weren't allowed to use it.

The staff was not very polite but the flight was very very nice and comfortable and the entertainment was great

Great crew - old style upper class seats on the older fleet now feels dated

Premium economy more comfortable than economy, but not by much. Did was awful, do not try the omelette. Flight crew were helpful. Flight was delayed by over an hour. Overall but bad, arrived safely and thank God.

Food was excellent. Service was very good. Staff was very helpful to all passengers.

I wish they gave the earphones earlier rather than when we are already in flight.

Very nice staff members are very nice and friendly helpful

We were a little late pushing back ,but arrived a head of time.

W ended up getting stuck in Edinburgh Scotland during the air strike. They cancelled our flight and No help to get us rebooked. All said down that cost us over $2,000 extra at least to get home. Hopefully we will be reimbursed somehow! Won’t be flying Air Canada again

The 787 Dreamliner that we flew on was relatively new and a nice aircraft. We flew on a 777 which was noticeably older and the seats were average” but the 787 was very nice, especially for the price. No window blinds anymore, instead high tech adjustable polychromatic glass!! Nice.

an absolute disaster and nightmare on air condition. IT WAS FREEZING!! everyone around us had hats, hoodies, gloves outdoor jackets on. that segment of the aircraft had a fault I assume...no amount of suggestion to turn down the air con helped. otherwise all good.

Everything was very good, short delay Toronto to Regina on my return to Canada but not a big deal. Thanks Kayak, Dr. Ian Stewart

Delayed delayed delayed cancelled and all we got was $60 food or beverage Embarrassing I'd say

The company hand out head phones so one can watch the movie and other entertainment throughout the flight, after all the ticket is already high Other than that my flight was very good and the attendants was very professional.

PDX staff was great and we arrived on time in YVR.

⭐ British Airways Review — A Journey of Highs, Lows, and Lessons ⭐ I recently flew Business Class round-trip from Boston to Mumbai with British Airways, and my experience was a tale of two extremes — from disappointment to exceptional service, and then back to inconsistency. Boston → London: A Surprisingly Poor Start My journey began on a disappointing note. On a 6-hour Business Class flight, I was surprised to discover that there wasn’t a single proper vegetarian meal option available. I was offered a few bakery items only after repeatedly requesting something to eat. The flight attendant shrugged, offered no solution, and eventually — quite literally — threw some bread at me after much delay. This was not only disheartening, it was extremely surprising given my wonderful Business Class experience with BA last year. I stepped off that flight genuinely hungry and had to make a mad dash to the lounge just to get a proper meal. London → Mumbai: A Complete Turnaround The next sector restored my faith in British Airways. The entire crew was warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. A special shoutout to Phiroze and the entire team serving the Business Class cabin — their professionalism, hospitality, and thoughtful service were extraordinary. They truly embodied what makes British Airways a global leader, and I am deeply grateful for the experience they provided. This is the BA I know and love. Mumbai → London: A Strange Meal Schedule This sector was generally fine, but the meal timing was puzzling. Lunch at 10:30 AM — for a Business cabin — felt unusual, and most passengers, including myself, barely touched it. The rest of the service was smooth, but the scheduling definitely needs a rethink. London → Boston: Mixed Experience Again The flight itself was decent, but the Business Lounge at Heathrow for this leg was a letdown. Arrived during lunch hours: no hot vegetarian options available Lounge area: dirty dishes everywhere Even after politely alerting the staff, the dishes were ignored and left uncleared For a premium cabin passenger — and at one of the world’s busiest international hubs — this was disappointing. Overall Impression My journey with British Airways felt inconsistent — two great sectors sandwiched between two that fell short of the BA standard. When BA is good, it is world-class. When it misses, the gap is noticeable. I genuinely hope the airline takes this feedback as constructive insight. I continue to believe in British Airways, and I commend the outstanding crew on the London → Mumbai sector — they were the highlight of my entire trip. With a little more focus on vegetarian meal availability, lounge service, and consistency across crews, BA can ensure every Business Class passenger experiences the premium journey they promise.

We were in business class and I had seat # 1. This was a night flight and after dinner was served, lights were dimmed and I went to sleep. The crew were loud and noisy so I didn’t get much sleep. I expect the crew to enjoy themselves but would Appreciate some decency in staying quiet while the passengers sleep

Have travelled business class with other airlines who profess to be the best in the world. They can however not beat the service and comfort that BA provide.

Great on board entertainment Tasty food Cattle class obviously crammed but not as bad as shorter hall flights

Logan gate staff was unhelpful. Arrived early, come to find out the airbus scheduled was reassigned and I did not have a seat. The desk agent spoke to his supervisor who instructed him to give me a boarding pass to get up to gate area, he was polite. At the gate the fellow was sitting to the side with two other BA staff . I asked him if he could help me, his answer was” we are on a break, we are closed” then turned his back. I am almost 70, drove 4 1/2 hours to Boston and had been looking forward to this trip for 5 months. I have worked in service many times in my life and this is not how it is done. I eventually (1/2 hr) before boarding was able to get a seat. The rest of the flight experience was unremarkable.

The boarding process was very poorly organized. Too many people had way to much carry on and resulted in loading overhead bins being the gating factor. Time for change.

The boarding process was chaotic at LHR and the seat was not as comfortable as other airlines....

Everything, every step of the process, from check in, to boarding, to exiting the plane was organized, efficient, and orderly. Excellent experience!

Great flight. One unique individual assisting in business class who should have not been there. Need more generic meals, not British centric.

We always use BA due to the direct flight options, we have always had a pleasant flight with BA.

Fine, charter flights. Plane full, and staff nice and friendly. No option for free food or drink. Entertainment through paid app.

The 737-8 is too small for the length of flight especially if there are any delays

The flight was delayed over 2 hours, we should off left the plane2 late passengers as it’s not fair on everyone who’s followed the rules.

Dreamliner. Yes great if maintained. I didn't see anyones screen work consistently during either of our flights. Worse was their ability to not only dump you out of premium but separate couples and seat someone's carer at the opposite end of the aircraft. This poor gentleman had no hand so his partner who assists him, being seated at the other end of the aircraft, well that really showed us all what Tui think :( It was fairly dire all in all, they advertise all the perks of the dreamliner only in reality you don't have the features and they change the windows and colours to suit their constant sales pitches. Ironically they were so low on stock for the return flight that all their sales pitches were a waste of time! Their contract only favours them and 'operational changes' well they cover every excuse and Tui use it. Surprisingly we haven't reinstalled the Tui app or booked with them since. It's a shame as I rated them highly during the pandemic.

One flight attendant not wearing a mask over nose, 50% of passengers not either, and no effort to correct. Boarding was very late with no information - lots of standing around waiting.
